Le Mans officially announced today that investment company OutField have purchased an undisclosed percentage of the club.
Tennis icon Djokovic and former F1 drivers Felipe Massa and Kevin Magnussen are involved in the project.
In a statement published by Le Mans, they say the 24-time Grand Slam champion's "mental strength and unique approach will bring considerable added value."
On Massa and Magnussen, the club claim the duo will "create a bridge between football and motorsport – a distinctive strength of the Le Mans brand."

Ex-Ferrari driver Massa raced in F1 for 15 years and is a massive fan of Brazilian club Sao Paulo supporter.
Magnussen was with Haas and his father Jan is a four-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner.
Opening up on his new venture, Massa said: "I think everyone knows my passion for football, which is leading me to take this step today.
"Le Mans FC has a strong connection with motorsport, and when my good friend and partner Georgios Frangulis presented the project to me, I wanted to be a part of it.

"Especially alongside people I deeply respect, like Djokovic, who needs no introduction, and Magnussen, with whom I shared many years in Formula One.
"It's undeniably a great opportunity, taking advantage of the momentum of French football, the reigning Champions League champion, which is currently attracting significant investment."

But they have since climbed up the divisions and will compete in Ligue 2 this coming season.
They were the last in the top-flight back in 2010.
Le Mans play their home matches at the Stade Marie-Marvingt, which is next to the iconic racing track.

Son Heung-min bids emotional farewell to Spurs fans after record MLS transfer
Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the departure of Son Heung-min to Los Angeles FC. The South Korean star has completed his switch for a record-breaking Major League Soccer fee of approximately £19.5million, whilst penning a heartfelt goodbye to the Spurs faithful. "Well, to all the Spurs fans. I mean, it's such a hard decision that I will leave the Spurs family," the forward said. "It was one of the hardest decisions I've ever made. "And, as I said, there'll be no forever. And I gave [my] all. I know it sounds very surprising. I know it sounds very hard. And, because I gave my all, I feel like I need a new chapter." He continued: "It was probably one of the hardest decisions I ever made so please don't be disappointed. I will be disappointed, not seeing you on the pitch," he continued. I will always be in your history books. And Spurs will always be in my heart and Spurs will always be in my family." "And as a kid, you welcomed me and as I grew up I'm leaving you but there's always good timing. During Spurs' pre-season tour of his native South Korea, Son confirmed his time in North London was coming to an end. He had spent the last decade with the team, helping them win the Europa League at the end of last season. His move to LAFC will see him reunited with former Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. The French international joined the MLS side in 2024 and has been their regular No.1 since moving across the Atlantic. Son had just turned 23 when he joined Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2015. He took a bit of time to establish himself, blowing hot and cold in his first season, but then hit 10 or more goals in the league for each of the following eight campaigns as he linked up with the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli. He replaced Lloris as Spurs' captain in 2023, when Ange Postecoglou took over as manager. Those two seasons as skipper saw the team finish fifth to qualify for the Europa League and then win a European trophy, beating Manchester United in the final in May. Son's Spurs exit comes as the club prepares for a first season under new manager Thomas Frank. Legend of Dawn Run lives on at Sligo on a special night for teenage jockey
It might be 40 years since Dawn Run created horse racing history at Cheltenham but the mighty mare's legend lived on at Sligo on Wednesday night. The Paddy Mullins-trained racing icon was the only horse to ever win the Champion Hurdle (1984) and Gold Cup (1986) and is considered the greatest mare ever to race over jumps. She was tragically killed in a fatal fall at French racecourse Auteuil just a few months after her historic Gold Cup win when attempting to win the French Champion Hurdle. Dawn Run was famously owned by Mrs Charmian Hill, who rode out the mare at Mullins' yard and was known as the 'Galloping Granny'. The Waterford woman also incredibly won a race at Tralee on her mare when she was 62. Mrs Hill died in 1990 but decades on the iconic red and black silks of Dawn Run were back in the winners' enclosure at Sligo, and amazingly worn by HIll's great-granddaughter. 19-year-old Gabriella Hill and the Henry De Bromhead-trained Trubshaw grabbed the glory in the Guinness Handicap - hanging on by a head to win from God The Highness in a desperately close finish. Wexford-based Hill told : 'It's great to get a win in the family colours and Trubshaw has come on a lot in his last few runs. He was lovely and relaxed today. 'I'm getting the boat over to Newmarket on Monday to join Stuart Williams. He has a good few horses and I'm looking forward to it. She added: 'We always had a couple of horses at home I've always been riding. I started with a local point-to-point trainer down the road at weekends. I got a taste for it then and got my licence. I'm really enjoying it.'
