Dunelm shoppers hail tropical bedding with near-perfect rating
A tropical style bedding set from home retail giant Dunelm is winning lots of praise from delighted shoppers who've so far handed it a near-perfect rating. The Tropical Treasures duvet and pillowcase set has averaged 4.8 stars out for 5 from 65 reviews - 58 of which gave the full five stars.
The bedding promises to "transform your bedroom into a lush oasis", thanks to its stylish tropical palm pattern. It's crafted from recycled polyester and features matching pillowcases, while the duvet is secured with a button closure.
It comes in all standard bedding sizes, from single up to super king and usually costs between £36 and £52. However, it's currently got 20% off, meaning the price starts at £28.80 for a single and goes up to £41.60 for a super king.
Of those who've left reviews to date, one said: "Beautiful to look at and touch. Really stunning on my bedroom windows and I also bought the duvet cover and my walls and plain. Stunning."
Another went on: "Love this bedding, great quality, velvet material, vibrant colours and washes well! Well worth the money."
A third continued: "Absolutely love this, soft and warm to the touch, lovely bright and cheerful for long winter nights. Washes fantastically and excellent quality."
Despite the overwhelmingly positive feedback, there were a couple of drawbacks noted. The lowest rating given by anyone to date is three stars, with the reviewer saying: "Lovely material, but I'd prefer to have a contrasting colour." Another felt the colour had faded after washing.
Debenhams is another retailer worth looking at. Among the deals the retailer has currently is the very colourful House of Norris Luxurious Signature Teal 100% Cotton Duvet Cover Set.
That's usually priced at £120 to £160, depending on the size you need, but a discount is taking the price down to £42 for a double and £51 for a super king. At the cheaper end of the spectrum, the Habitat Cotton Painterly Leaf Green Bedding Set is stocked by Argos, ranging from £20 to £28.
The design on that features strong painterly lines that emerge from an olive green base creating a lush foliage scene. Back to the Dunelm set, the retailer says it's suitable to iron on a medium setting, is machine washable and can be tumble dried on a low heat setting.
To complete the whole room look, coordinating bedding items are also available to purchase separately.
