Woman (20s) seriously injured following single-vehicle collision in Co Wicklow
The collision happened on Wednesday at approximately 6.25 pm.

A female passenger of the car, aged in her 20s, was conveyed to Tallaght University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported at the time. The road is currently open.
A man aged in his 20s was arrested at the scene. He has since been released without charge.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
Road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the Grange Beg, Dunlavin, Co. Wicklow area between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Wednesday 9th July 2025 are asked to make it available to gardaí.

Kneecap rapper to appear in court for alleged support of terrorist group
A member of rap group Kneecap is due to appear in court for allegedly supporting a proscribed terror organisation. The court previously heard the 27-year-old defendant is 'well within his rights' to voice his opinions on the Israel- Palestine conflict, but the alleged incident at the O2 Forum in Kentish Town, north London, was a 'wholly different thing'. Gardaí and Polish police bust smuggling networks and seize drugs
A joint operation between gardaí and Polish police has seen €8 million worth of controlled drugs seized in Ireland over the past three years. The investigation led to the arrest of 13 Polish nationals in Ireland and the seizure of 340kg of cannabis herb and 155kg of cannabis resin. The core of the criminal groups were Poles living in Spain, Poland's Central Bureau of Investigation (CBSP) said in a statement, with some members having links to Polish football hooliganism. "During the investigation, 600 kilograms of marijuana, 180 kilograms of hashish, 40 kilograms of amphetamine sulfate, as well as seven firearms and several hundred rounds of ammunition were seized," the CBSP said. The core group trafficked drugs to several parts of Europe, mainly Ireland, Germany, Austria and Scandinavia. The investigation was conducted together with law enforcement agencies from a number of European Union countries, the CBSP said.

Man charged under name 'Unknown Unknown' after using six identities and five ages
An unsuccessful asylum seeker claiming to be from Palestine and Jordan was charged under the name "Unknown Unknown", after using six identities and five ages on his arrest in Dublin.
