Police seize suspected fentanyl in 401 traffic stop
Suspected fentanyl was among the items seized in an OPP traffic stop in Thames Centre on Friday afternoon.
According to police, a traffic stop of a 'suspicious vehicle' on Highway 401 at Dorchester Road resulted in police discovering that the driver had a suspended license.
Following their arrest, a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of suspected fentanyl, as well as other drugs.

Teenager injured in Côte-des-Neiges armed assault
A 14-year-old boy was injured following an altercation in Montreal's Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood. (Cosmo Santamaria/CTV News) Montreal police say a 14-year-old boy was injured following an armed assault in the Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood. Police were called at around 4:40 p.m. about an injured person on Westbury Avenue, near Vezina Street. Officers found the teenager who sustained wounds to the upper body, possibly by a sharp object. He was transported to hospital and is in stable condition. Police say an altercation between the victim and multiple other individuals may have been the cause of the incident, but no arrests have been made. A security perimeter was set up in the area, but no official crime scene has been established as police are not sure where the incident actually occurred. The investigation is ongoing.
