AAP's Raghav Chadha Invited As Keynote Speaker At Asian Leadership Conference

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Raghav Chadha has been invited to serve as a keynote speaker at the Asian Leadership Conference (ALC) 2025, scheduled to be held for two days, on May 21 and 22, in Seoul, South Korea.
"It is an honour to represent India and its youth in a forum that brings together visionaries from across the globe. Asia today stands at the cusp of transformation, and I look forward to sharing India's perspective on leadership, resilience, and inclusive prosperity," Mr Chadha said in a press statement.
The ALC, co-hosted by Chosun Media and the Centre for Asia Leadership, referred to as the "Davos of the East", is widely recognised as Asia's premier platform for global dialogue. The conference brings together more than 320 global leaders and over 2,500 delegates from politics, business, academia, and civil society to engage in conversations around the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing Asia today.
Former US Presidents Barack Obama and George W Bush, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, former UK Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and David Cameron, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, and Blackstone CEO Steve Schwarzman, among others, have graced past editions of the conference. Raghav Chadha will join this list of names as a speaker and attendee this time.
Mr Chadha will be sharing the global stage with various personalities, including former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, President & CEO of The Asia Foundation, Laurel E. Miller, former Prime Minister of Australia, Tony Abbott, among others.
"I'm ecstatic to participate alongside such celebrated global leaders like Rishi Sunak, Mike Pompeo, and Laura Lacey. It's a unique opportunity to present the India story - of innovation, youth leadership, democratic resilience, and global cooperation - on one of Asia's most respected stages," he added.
The theme for ALC 2025, "The Rise of Nations: Pathways to Great Prosperity," marks a historic moment as Korea commemorates the 80th anniversary of its liberation and the 75th anniversary of the Korean War. The event will explore strategies to build resilience in the face of the poly-crisis era, including health, climate, and geopolitical conflict.
Raghav Chadha has been invited to speak on various topics, including 'New Political Vanguard: Young Leaders Reshaping Governance in Asia', where he will share his vision and blueprint for how the youth can participate in politics.

Russia carried out 'massive" drone attacks on Ukraine's capital Kyiv and port city of Odesa early Tuesday, killing one person and hitting a maternity hospital, Ukrainian officials said, calling for further sanctions. Moscow has kept up its attacks on Ukraine, which has hit back with strikes deep inside Russian territory, while peace talks held over the weekend failed to yield a breakthrough towards ending the three-year war. Aside from an agreement to exchange prisoners, progress has stalled and Russia has repeatedly rejected calls for an unconditional ceasefire. 'Russia lies every day about its desire for peace and attacks people every day. Time to impose sanctions. Time to support Ukraine with weapons. Time to prove that democracy has power," Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian presidential office, said on Telegram. A 59-year-old man was killed in the Russian strikes on residential buildings in Odesa on Tuesday, and at least four others were wounded, said Governor Oleg Kiper. 'The enemy massively attacked Odesa with strike drones. There is damage to civilian infrastructure and fires," Kiper wrote on Telegram. 'The Russians hit a maternity hospital, an emergency medical ward and residential buildings," he said, adding the maternity hospital had been evacuated in time. In central Kiev, an AFP journalist heard at least 12 explosions, anti-aircraft fire and the buzzing of drones. 'Stay in shelters! The massive attack on the capital continues," Mayor Vitali Klitschko said on Telegram, adding in a separate post around 3:00 am (0000 GMT) that 'a new batch of UAVs (drones) is flying to the capital". Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine triggered the biggest European conflict since World War II, forcing millions to flee their homes and decimating much of eastern and southern Ukraine. Russia launched another large drone attack on Ukraine, targeting Kyiv and causing damage to a maternity facility in Odesa's southern port, according to regional authorities' reports on Tuesday. In the early hours of Tuesday, medical teams responded to emergencies in four Kyiv districts, including the historic Podil area, as reported by Mayor Vitali Klitschko via Telegram. Meanwhile, in the Odesa drone attack, a 59-year-old man was killed and injured four others, Governer Oleg Kiper said on Telegram, as per BBC. Military officials indicated that attacks were continuing and advised residents to take shelter. The comprehensive impact of the assault remained unclear initially. "Enemy drones are simultaneously attacking several districts of the city," stated Timur Tkachenko, Kyiv's military administration chief, via Telegram. "There is damage to residential buildings and fires. Rescuers are working at the sites." In Odesa's southern port, a substantial drone attack struck an emergency medical facility, a maternity ward, and residential structures, according to Oleh Kiper, the regional governor, posting on Telegram. Kiper confirmed no casualties at the maternity hospital, with successful evacuation of patients and staff. Not a single soldier was harmed and everyone returned safely. This is Modi's power, this is India's power, everyone's power and the country wants to strengthen this power,' Paatil said. Appealing to the voters in Kadi to 'create a record' with high number of votes for Rajendra Chavda, Paatil said that for Kadi election the issue is not of development but 'to make BJP candidate win by a record number'. 'Today such an environment is created in the entire country after Operation Sindoor that every voter wants to strengthen Modi's hands. They were confident that Modi hai toh mumkin hai. During the surgical strike within three hours more than 300 terrorists were killed by our soldiers who returned safely,' Paatil added. Urging the voters to not 'repeat their mistakes' in Visavadar Paatil called upon the party workers and voters of the assembly constituency to make the BJP candidate victorious otherwise the 'future generation won't forgive us'. Paatil made these remarks while campaigning for the by-election of Visavadar Assembly constituency of Saurashtra. The seat has fallen vacant following the resignation of AAP MLA Bhupendra Bhayani who later joined the BJP. Addressing a gathering of party workers in Visavadar constituency, Paatil said, 'This time there should not be any mistake. We have to look after the future generation as well. Future generation won't forgive us (saying) that 'you have made mistakes repeatedly'. Correct your (past) mistakes this time. Resolve to make BJP candidate Kirit Patel victorious this time to keep the voters of Visavadar and their future generation in front of the road of development.' Kirit Patel, a former Junagadh district president of BJP and a cooperative leader, is BJP candidate for the by-election. Kirit Patel is facing a challenge from AAP's Gopal Italia and Congress candidate Nitin Ranpariya. Paatil said, 'Entire country is developing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Entire world is impressed by him. Only Visavadar is facing hurdles in its development. Forget the mistake. You might have done experiments which have failed. Doesn't matter. 'There is a need to make the BJP candidate victorious to keep Visavadar in leading position… on the path of development in the country and for the development which is needed for the future generation of Visavadar,' he said. BJP has not won the Visavadar constituency for the past several years and Paatil called upon the party workers to win it this time. 'BJP has never learnt to lose. And it has also not learnt to leave a constituency if it loses it,' Paatil said. Without taking any name, during his speech, Paatil asked people not to get misled by certain people who spread misconceptions. Voting for the by-election is scheduled on June 19. Both seats will see candidates from Congress, BJP and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the fray. This time the Praja Shakti Democratic Party (PSDP) launched by former chief minister Shankersinh Vaghela, has also nominated candidates for both seats.
