Emmerdale confirms new target for Ray in ITVX release and its a major character

Metroa day ago
The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn't aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.
Drug dealer Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) has confirmed which Emmerdale resident he intends to target next.
Ray was introduced to us a couple of weeks ago, when Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) invited him to the village to consider buying the weed plants Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches) had been growing. Mack ended up clashing with Lewis and Ross Barton (Michael Parr) over this, as they made it clear the plants weren't for selling to a dodgy dealer.
The weed disappeared from the barn and this was because Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) had sold it to Ray. Now, we're beginning to learn a bit more about the new character and the very dangerous work he offers young people.
Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) returned to the village last week. He was found in the church by April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan), who believed the claims that he had completely turned his life around after attending rehab.
In reality, Dylan had just broken into a barn at Butlers and was living rough again. In this evening's episode, we discovered more about his connection to Ray, as it became apparent the youngster had been taking part in 'drug drop offs' for money.
Dylan had spent the night at Mandy and Paddy's (Lisa Riley and Dominic Brunt) and wanted to focus on getting his life back on track, which meant ignoring messages from Ray.
After lying to April about where he was going, Dylan eventually met up with Ray to ask him for some time off. He explained that he was living with a local vet and wanted to hang out with April a bit more.
Ray pretended to be understanding and told Dylan that was no problem, and handed him some cash from the previous job. More Trending
Just before the instalment ended though, Ray's true intentions were revealed. While on the phone, he watched Dylan and April together.

He confirmed to the person on the end of the line that Dylan's mate April is 'sweet and innocent' but most importantly, will prove 'useful' to them.
Letting Dylan have 'time off' from his job is clearly just part of the bigger plan.

EastEnders' Joel Marshall finally punished for sick acts after shock 'illegal' discovery

EastEnders' Ross Marshall made a disturbing discovery on Joel's laptop in tonight's episode of the BBC soap - has he finally had enough of his son's sick behaviour? Joel Marshall was caught by his father Ross in tonight's episode of EastEnders, as he made a shock discovery on his son's laptop. ‌ Since joining the show earlier this year, fans have been aware of Joel's misogynistic mindset and have witnessed some of his sick acts, including assaulting a stranger on a tube and recording himself being intimate with Avani. It was later revealed that Ross paid off a girls' mother in Australia, after he had up skirted a girl in his class. ‌ Ross later found the video of Avani, but Joel managed to talk himself out of things once again. In tonight's episode however, it appeared Joel's father had finally had enough of his sick acts - as he made a shock discovery. It comes after an EastEnders legend was rushed to hospital after a deadly attack by a familiar face. ‌ Ross and Joel sat down in the living room sharing beers as Joel showed his father a video of influencer Drake Zagan, who he seems to idolise. As Joel walked out the room, Ross was left disgusted when he heard Drake saying feminism was a lie, and that a women's only job is to find a boyfriend. He was then left raging when he found a number of "100% illegal" up skirting and changing room videos on his teenage son's laptop, as he threw his laptop in the sink with the water running. ‌ "I do not want this filth in my house!", Ross exclaimed. "You are a revolting, arrogant disgusting little pervert!" Fans were left overjoyed that Ross had finally clocked on to how much of a "creep" his son was. ‌ Taking to Reddit, one fan penned: "Hallelujah Ross has finally wised up to his creepy son," as another penned: "Why has it taken that long for Ross to realise what a creep his son is? At least he's finally doing something about it." Another fan wrote: "wheyyyy ross finally grew a fkn backbone." The explosive scenes come just after Joel's mum was mentioned for the first time. Last night, we learnt Joel's mum was called Cleo, and cheated on Ross while in Australia. It came after fans believed his mum was Zoe Slater, in line with her return. ‌ Despite this, fans are still convinced that Zoe is Joel's mum, with many believing Cleo is a "cover up name." There's more drama for Joel next week, as spoilers reveal he's left reeling when he finds out Avani has had a termination without him even knowing she was pregnant with his baby. How will the storyline progress - and will we ever meet Joel's mum?

Coronation Street fans 'rumble' when Swarla wedding will happen amid proposal news

Coronation Street fans are convinced a Swarla wedding is on the way and on a particular day, after previous scenes with Carla Connor and Lisa Swain on the ITV soap A wedding could be on the way on Coronation Street amid news of one character planning a proposal next week. Fans say some clues in past episodes may give away that a New Year wedding is on the cards. ‌ According to a new theory, a close-up during a scene as well as script line could well hint at two characters tying the knot towards the end of the year. The pair are not currently engaged but fans are sure that could change very soon. ‌ It comes as spoilers confirmed that Carla Connor would plan to propose to partner Lisa Swain next week on the ITV soap, after she turned down Lisa's own proposal months ago. Carla will confide in her nephew Ryan Connor and soon a plan is in motion. ‌ Spoilers reveal that Carla will buy an engagement ring, and towards the end of the week she decides to pop the question. Keeping this from Lisa, she invites her for a drink after work at The Rovers. Carla arrives there early and asks barmaid Glenda Shuttleworth to slip the ring into Lisa's drink when she arrives. But will Lisa show up, and will the proposal go ahead as Carla hopes it will? ‌ Fans think the pair will get engaged at some point after a scene left them convinced that a Swarla wedding, the ship name loyal fans call the pair, is going to happen. In fact fans are so sure there will be a New Year's Eve wedding after spotting a potential clue in a past episode. Fans recalled how when Carla was in hospital, there was a magazine that featured an advert for wedding rings, with the mention of 2025. There was also a comment last New Year from Carla as the pair shared their hopes for the year ahead, with fans taking her words at the time as a hint. ‌ Taking to social media one fan said: "My theory is a NYE #Swarla wedding. Set up by Carla's line from last NYE, and a camera close-up on Bobby's magazine from one of Carla's hospital scenes where it said 'what's in store for 2025' alongside an advert for wedding rings." Another viewer said: "I second that…. that line is there for a reason," as a third fan said: "I third that." A fourth viewer posted: "WANT THE NYE wedding!! WITH NO DRAMA!" Mum and daughter fly 10,000 miles for Edinburgh Tattoo only to be left heartbroken

"We knew it wasn't going to happen." An Australian mother and daughter who crossed the globe to attend the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo were left heartbroken after the show was cancelled due to bad weather. ‌ Cynarra Baker and her mum Sharon flew more than 10,000 miles from Newcastle, New South Wales, in a trip decades in the making. After stopovers in Dubai and Paris, they finally touched down in Edinburgh — only to find out on the morning of the event that Storm Floris had forced a last-minute cancellation. ‌ Cynarra said the news left them in 'utter disbelief' after the journey to the Tattoo had been inspired by a family dream. Cynarra's late grandmother Flo had always wanted to see the iconic show at Edinburgh Castle. ‌ Although Flo passed away in 1997, the dream lived on — and nearly 30 years later, Cynarra and her mum were determined to make it happen. The former Air Force member, who now works as a carer, said she couldn't sleep the night before the August 4 performance. The pair were staying at the Murrayfield Hotel when she checked her emails that morning and saw the devastating update, reports Edinburgh Live. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! 'I read out the email and we were both just silent. Mum just said 's**t' and pulled the covers back over her head.' After searching for new tickets, the only remaining options were £650 each — well outside their budget after already spending thousands on their once-in-a-lifetime trip. 'We knew it wasn't going to happen,' Cynarra said. Instead of enjoying the Tattoo, the pair spent the night in their hotel room, sharing a bottle of wine and watching Netflix while the storm passed. ‌ They've since headed up north to Inverness to make the most of their time in Scotland, with plans to visit Culloden and other historical sites. Both are self-confessed 'massive Outlander fans' and are determined to soak up the Highland history. 'I'm looking forward to standing where the Highlander way of life changed,' said Cynarra. 'That's something that needs to be felt.' ‌ A spokesperson for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo has since confirmed they are in touch with the Bakers to 'explore options to help make their dream come true'. Tattoo CEO Jason Barrett said: 'Hearing that Cynarra and Sharon travelled from Australia only to miss the show is especially gut-wrenching. While we can't control the weather, we're doing what we can to find a way to bring the Tattoo to them.' Despite the disappointment, Cynarra says the trip has still been special - though a return visit may not be on the cards. 'Mum says no - she's 70 now. For me, I'm not sure. But I do love this place. It feels like home.'
