Former
UFC
champion
Conor McGregor
could not help but express his excitement as he took to the public to congratulate
Kaitlyn Bertrand
on winning the
Ring Girl of the Year
award for the second time in a row. The 25-year-old American, who fights for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (
BKFC
), where Conor McGregor has a minority stake, received high praise from the Irish MMA superstar following the recent achievement announcement.
Conor McGregor's enthusiastic response highlights the growing BKFC connection.
Kaitlyn Bertrand posted on Instagram last week to announce her win of the prestigious Ring Girl of the Year for 2023 and 2024 to her 154,000 followers. Conor McGregor was quick to reply with a brief but strong comment, 'My World Champion!'. The interaction brings to focus the increasing relationship the UFC legend has with the bare-knuckle promotion he has invested in and expressed interest in fighting in.

Florida's Kaitlyn Bertrand, who combines her ring girl profession with a career in real estate, has become one of the most recognisable faces in combat sports entertainment rather quickly. Having an Italian and Scottish background, she has diversified her career outside BKFC as she was working with ProBox TV as well – a promotion established by boxing legends Roy Jones Jr, Antonio Tarver, and Paulie Malignaggi.
Conor McGregor's BKFC fighting aspirations are gaining momentum.
Conor McGregor's affiliation with BKFC goes beyond commercial interests because the former dual-weight champion of UFC has always proclaimed his wish to fight in bare-knuckle boxing. Despite being under UFC contract, Conor McGregor said earlier this year: 'If you think that I am all up here giving these speeches and leading these men into battle and I won't step in there myself, think again.'
The Dublin native has called out a list of possible opponents, including Mike Perry, Jeremy Stephens, and former UFC rival Eddie Alvarez. Conor McGregor has gone out to state championship ambitions, 'I'd like a world title in this company. I would like to become the Bare Knuckle world champion."
Fans can watch BKFC events live on the promotion's app and other pay-per-view platforms, with their next big event set for June 2025 in Miami, Florida.

While Kaitlyn Bertrand's back-to-back Ring Girl honours are impressive, she still trails the record held by UFC ring girl Arianny Celeste, who has claimed the title five times throughout her career. Nevertheless, Bertrand's rising popularity and Conor McGregor's public support suggest her influence in combat sports continues to grow substantially.

‘Am I on television?': Steve McCurry's cameo in girls' dance video wins hearts on the Internet

It's not every day that you end up dancing on the streets of Venice with a legendary photographer, without even realising it. But that's what happened in a now-viral Instagram reel that's left the Internet grinning. The video opens with two girls filming a dance to a trending audio clip against the dreamy backdrop of Venice. Midway through, iconic photojournalist Steve McCurry – behind the famed Afghan Girl portrait – wanders into the frame. Startled, the girls pause their routine. McCurry, curious and smiling, asks, 'Am I on television?' One of them laughs and explains it's just a Reel for Instagram. Then, McCurry steps up to the camera, says, 'Hi, welcome to Venice,' and sends a few flying kisses. When the girls invite him to dance, he gladly joins – swaying and laughing, completely unbothered by the attention. The girls, meanwhile, had no idea who he was until the Reel went viral. The Reel, shared by Instagram user @mukhlisaa_italy, is captioned, '@stevemccurryofficial truly honoured to meet you in person. Didn't realize I was in the presence of such talent. It was an unexpected and unforgettable moment.' Since being posted, the video has garnered over 726,000 likes and 61,300 comments, with viewers across the world flooding the post with love.
