Good morning! Welcome to our brand new live blog running on Saturdays and Sundays that will signpost the football matches and stories to look out for each day. Coming up on a stacked Saturday we'll be talking to Crystal Palace and Aston Villa fans about their hopes (and fears) before this afternoon's FA Cup semi-final. We're hoping to involve you in the conversation, too, so if you happen to be heading to Wembley get in touch below the line or email us with your thoughts on the match. If you're heading off to watch any match today, let us know why it matters to you and what rituals you'll be carrying out in advance?
We'll be hearing from some of our correspondents, too, with Ewan Murray teeing up Dundee United v Celtic, who are set to win a record-equalling 55th Scottish league title and we hope to have snippets from reporters elsewhere, too. Yara El-Shaboury is at Stamford Bridge for the early kick-off between Chelsea and Everton – she'll assess the mood before that one. But if you have any thoughts on Enzo Maresca and David Moyes, do let us know. Dominic Booth will be at Wrexham v Charlton at 5.30pm, with the Hollywood darlings potentially being promoted from League One this evening, and he'll send us a missive later to tee that one up. And Harry Kane could finally get his hands on some silverware if Bayern Munich defeat Mainz. Surely he deserves some honours doesn't he? I'll bring you some fantasy football tips too – they might not be useful but they will at least remind you not to miss the deadline. Share Explore more on these topics

Glasgow refugee festival showcases work of displaced artists
The exhibition, entitled 'LIVE IN ART,' is a collaboration between artists from a host of countries, including Ukraine, Iran, Vietnam, Colombia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. It is being held at the Centre for Contemporary Arts in Glasgow as part of the Refugee Festival Scotland. READ MORE: Scottish abattoir shuts doors after 100 years with 90 jobs lost On display is a mix of multimedia art including a winding table of sculptures, paintings and a striking banner hung over the railing outside, overlooking the Saramago Cafe Bar. The pieces were created during a two-month creative group residency where artists developed an array of pieces now presented to the public in the Centre for Contemporary Art's Creative Lab room. Curated by Glasgow artist and activist Syeda Sadaf Zaidi, the exhibition has been designed around themes of memory and home. Syeda said: 'As someone navigating the immigrant experience, art has become both a tool and a sanctuary, a way to speak when words fall short. I'm especially passionate about projects that invite participation, exchange and shared ownership. Activism and art aren't separate for me; they're interconnected forms of resistance and hope.' 'As a curator, I wanted the entire exhibition to feel just as honest to give space to artists who are expressing something real, with feeling and courage,' she added. This piece (untitled), created by Syeda, represents the journey from place to place (Image: Supplied) The paintings on display depict personal stories and many carry themes of migration, heritage and dealing with identity as expatriates. The exhibition has been opened at the CCA just months after the centre's temporary closure which lasted from December of 2024 until March of this year. The centre has cited a lack of funding as a key reason for the closure. Syeda is calling for more support describing the centre as 'the best place for artists.' READ MORE: Ryanair announces £500 fines in bid to clamp down on disruptive passengers She said: 'Organisations like CCA need more funding, and I hope the government will reconsider any cuts that affect artists and creative spaces. There is so much hidden talent in the city that deserves recognition and support.' 'I'd also like to thank the Scottish Refugee Council for their support. They've played a key role in helping me share my work and be part of this amazing city.' One artist involved, Linh Nguyen from Vietnam, had her work depicting various places she has lived on display. She said: 'It's like meditation because I can just lose myself when I am doing it. It's like a different world where I can just relax and be myself.' 'I love going to Syeda's class at CCA where I just spend a few hours making my art. It definitely feels liberating in a sense. I feel that I have a space to express myself and create something.' Linh added. Participating artists included Yuliya Shkurina, Tetiana Alandarieva, Inna Sheremeta, Oksana Borysova, Tara Gomary, Diana Pimiento C., Lenur Sufianov, Linh Nguyen, Syed Anwar Arif, Hanna Shamardina and Mahdi Mohammadi. The LIVE IN ART Exhibition is open from June 10 to 14 and is free to attend.

Crystal Palace receive last minute takeover bid from Donald Trump pal that could rescue Europa League hopes
The would-be Palace buyer held an important role during Trump's first term TRUMP CARD Crystal Palace receive last minute takeover bid from Donald Trump pal that could rescue Europa League hopes Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) NEW YORK JETS owner Woody Johnson has launched a bid to buy John Textor's minority stake in Crystal Palace, according to reports. Textor, 59, has been trying to flog his shares as Uefa threaten to throw Palace out of next season's Europa League. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 Woody Johnson has launched a bid for Crystal Palace Credit: Getty The Eagles qualified for the Europa League by virtue of lifting the FA Cup last month. As Textor, who owns a 43 per cent stake in Palace, is also majority owner of French side Lyon, who have also qualified for the Europa League, the Eagles' place in Europe has come under threat. Uefa rules dictate that two teams under the same ownership cannot compete in the same competition. Textor could have placed his shares into a blind trust by March 1 to avoid this issue, but with Palace's FA Cup triumph still appearing to be a long shot at the time, the American businessman did not. Palace chiefs are currently desperately trying to convince Uefa that Textor has no involvement in day-to-day goings on at the club. The Missouri-native has long been thought to be trying to flog his shares. And according to Sky Sports, Jets owner Johnson has made a bid. Johnson, 78, served as US ambassador to the UK during Donald Trump's first administration. Last month it was reported that the New Jersey-native may even try to buy a controlling stake in the Eagles. Long-serving chairman Steve Parish owns around 10 per cent of the South London club, having helped to save them from going bust in 2010. Americans David Blitzer and Josh Harris own 36 per cent, with Textor possessing 43 per cent. Parish and Textor are said to have fallen out in 2023. And last year, the latter attempted to buy Everton, before being beaten by compatriot Dan Friedkin. THIS IS A DEVELOPING STORY..
