Great-grandmother Clara was excited to join her 2-year-old great-grandson in the backyard
Despite being separated by eight decades, the pair are seen on video laughing and smiling together on the trampolineIn a heartwarming moment that defied age and expectations, one mother from Cleveland, Okla., was delighted to see her grandmother-in-law, Clara Quimby, take her first-ever bounce on a trampoline.
The spontaneous leap came after the spirited 84-year-old woman decided to join her 2-year-old great-grandson in his birthday fun – proving that adventure has no expiration date.
'I've lost my own parents and grandparents, so getting to witness my husband's parents and grandparents still experiencing life in these joyful, light-hearted ways — it's incredibly special to me,' Mariah Quimby tells PEOPLE exclusively.
The Quimby family is deeply rooted in faith and togetherness. Mariah's grandparents-in-law have shared 66 years of marriage, while her parents-in-law have been together for 30.

'Their love, laughter and willingness to keep trying new things — no matter their age — is what keeps our family close and thriving,' the 29-year-old, mother-of-two shares.
Growing up without trampolines and in a totally different pace of life, great-grandma Clara had a newfound desire to embrace experiences missed before.
'As I've gotten older, I've realized there are a lot of things I never got to try, and I want to start saying yes to more of them,' she tells PEOPLE. 'This summer, I'm even planning to jump into a pool for the first time.'
The best part about the trampoline experience, however, was witnessing her great-grandson's wide smile.
'Our family has always shared good times together, and the grandkids and great-grandkids give me that extra nudge to be brave, try new things, and just have fun,' great-grandma Clara reveals. 'They bring a spark that keeps us going.'
Mariah believes Bowdie will likely reflect on these memories and appreciate the depth of his childhood — not only through experiences but through the bonds he's built with family.
'He's had the rare gift of growing up surrounded by four great-grandparents and three grandparents,' Mariah explains. 'That kind of legacy is priceless. I hope he always knows how truly blessed he is.'

How Former 'GMA 'Anchor Eva Pilgrim Is Leading 'Inside Edition 'into a New Chapter After 30 Years (Exclusive)

Pilgrim will succeed Deborah Norville as only the fourth-ever anchor of the newsmagazine on Aug. 18 NEED TO KNOW Eva Pilgrim is kicking off her tenure as the newest anchor of Inside Edition on Aug. 18 She succeeds Deborah Norville, who anchored the newsmagazine for the last 30 years Pilgrim comes to Inside Edition from GMA3: What You Need to Know Eva Pilgrim was made for this. Having grown up in a home where Inside Edition was always on TV, Pilgrim tells PEOPLE that she's admittedly still "slightly floored" that she gets to be the new anchor of the beloved newsmagazine. She'll be the program's fourth-ever host, succeeding Deborah Norville, who wrapped her tenure on the show in May. "I look back at my first job, and my mom was still sending me money to eat because she was worried I wasn't eating. I think about the countless people who've poured into me and helped me get better at this to then get to this point," says Pilgrim, who shares 3-year-old daughter Ella with her husband Ed Hartigan. "My mother, when I told her I was interviewing for this job, lost her mind. I watched Inside Edition growing up. It was on in our house, but also in my first TV job, it was a show that came on between newscasts," Pilgrim adds of the serendipity of her new gig. Still, the former GMA3: What You Need to Know anchor admits that she certainly feels "the weight" of stepping into a new role at an institution of a show like Inside Edition. "It's a legacy," she says, adding that doing the show after Norville is no small task, either. Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. "You feel overwhelmed," she says. "To be in this job now at a point where I really appreciate everything that it is? I can't believe the job [was] open! Deborah was really nice and sent me an email, and at the end of the email she was floored that she had been in the job for as long as she had. She said that was because it was just such a great job, so why would you leave? It's one of those jobs that people don't leave because it's great." Pilgrim was born into a military family in Seoul, South Korea. Her mother is Korean, and her father hails from South Carolina. She grew up as a self-proclaimed Army brat. "We moved all over the place, literally four times in first grade, I always tell everyone that," Pilgrim says with a laugh. "But what's nice about that is I feel like traveling a lot is good training for a journalist because you learn how to make friends, you feel uncomfortable when you meet people you've never met before, and you know that that's going to happen every time. It conditions you to just say the first thing and make the first move to have a conversation." The innate curiosity and interpersonal skills Pilgrim developed early would continue to serve her well — by the time she was in high school, the family had settled back in South Carolina. "We grew up eating kimchi and country-fried steak and collard greens. It was a weird collision of cultural differences that ended up all one thing," she says. "And I think the luxury of having a parent who's not from where you grow up — a different country — very different than South Carolina, you realize how small the world is because you're traveling back and forth between those two different families. Pilgrim decided to pursue journalism while in college after taking classes in the subject and working for a local TV station while she was still in school. "I liked the access that it gave me. Whether you were covering a sporting event or a community event, you got to be there in the middle of it. That I found to be kind of addictive," she says. After working on a story where her subject confessed to a crime mid-interview and was subsequently arrested thanks in part to her reporting, Pilgrim knew she'd found the line of work she was meant to be doing all along. "[That man] said all the things to me that day because I was in many ways naive, but I was curious and very human with him. I wasn't asking him probing or prying questions. I was letting him talk and giving him human responses," Pilgrim explains, "and our news director at the time, she said something to me that I've never forgotten and I try to hold on to no matter how many interviews that I do. 'Always lead with your humanity,' she said, 'that's why you are good at this.'" Tune in to Inside Edition on Aug. 18 for Eva's first broadcast ahead of the season 38 premiere on Sept. 8. The actor became a teen heartthrob in the 1990s and 2000s after appearing in Casper (1995), and is now going back to that persona for a new Vera Bradley advertising campaign. On Thursday, Aug. 14, the actor, 46, posted an Instagram photo channeling his '90s style, including his signature heartthrob haircut. The photo, which was formatted to look like a folded poster from a teen magazine, included Sawa sporting a white T-shirt and a flannel wrapped around his hips with a pair of light-wash denim jeans. 'Me and the hair? We're back together… LINK IN MY BIO!!' he simply captioned the photo, leaving fans curious. The link in Sawa's Instagram bio directs users to the Vera Bradley website. And like Sawa's post, it is modeled after '90s website designs. The 'Most Perfect Couple' trailer began with Sawa in the aforementioned outfit with a brunette woman also rocking classic '90s trends — from butterfly clips to a black tattoo choker and a graphic baseball T-shirt. 'This fall, Vera Bradley made one woman's Y2K Devon Sawa fan-fiction a reality," a voiceover is heard saying. Twenty-three years later, we turned her story into a film starring a now 40-year-old Kristen and 46-year-old Devon as their teenage selves. Dreams really do come true.' While fans remain unsure what the accessory company will be releasing, many are excited to see Sawa embrace his '90s look. One Instagram user wrote, 'Oh my goodness 😂 What is this for? I'm not sure if a 40 yo is allowed posters on her wall any more!' Many more commented that they wanted the photo as a poster in their bedrooms, with one user writing, 'Will my husband allow a poster above the bed? Is the question im asking....😂.' Another added, 'I just tried to like this 3 times like I hadn't already done it. It's perfection. 😍.' '10-Year-Old me just yelled and shrieked and passed out OMG!!! 😭😍😲,' one user wrote. Another commented on Sawa's hairstyle, 'omg omg omg omg!! 😍😍😍😍😍 THIS haircut still has me in a chokehold.' Read the original article on People
