UN: 1 in 3 People in Gaza has gone days without food

Saba Yemen07-07-2025
New York – SABA:
The United Nations stated on Monday that Israel, the occupying power, continues to obstruct humanitarian aid initiatives for Gaza, confirming that occupation authorities rejected 3 out of 8 UN relief proposals just yesterday (Sunday).
UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric revealed "1 in 3 people in Gaza has not eaten for days.'
Fuel—a "lifeline for survival"—remains blocked, exacerbating the collapse of food and medical systems.
Israel denied 37.5% of UN aid initiatives (3 of 8) on Sunday alone.
Dujarric demanded Israel "open all crossings immediately" to comply with international humanitarian law.
700,000 Gazans have been displaced multiple times since Israel violated the March ceasefire.
No safe zones remain; civilians face bombardment even in designated "humanitarian areas'.
57,523 martyrs (mostly children/women) and 136,617 injured since October 7, 2023.
Thousands more remain trapped under rubble, unreachable due to ongoing attacks and blockade.
The statement condemned U.S. and European support enabling Israel's genocide, now in its 10th month with no accountability.

Hamas: Zionist Enemy Continues Torturing Palestinian Prisoners in Its Jails

Gaza - SABA: The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) stated that the Zionist enemy continues its acts of torture and abuse against heroic Palestinian prisoners in its jails. The movement reported that prisoner Sael Abu Nasr (60 years old) from the Gaza Strip, who was arrested in November 2023, died under harsh and degrading detention conditions—a new crime added to the enemy's black record against prisoners and the Palestinian people. In a press statement today, Wednesday, received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), Hamas warned of 'the catastrophic situation our prisoners are facing inside the enemy's prisons, where they are deprived of the most basic necessities and rights, including food, drink, and clothing, in addition to the medical neglect deliberately used by the enemy as a means of slow execution.' Hamas added, 'The inhumane conditions and blatant violations of all international conventions and laws that our heroic prisoners face require all countries of the world, both officially and publicly, and all human rights institutions, to raise their voices against the enemy, deter it from its crimes and terrorism against our people, and quickly hold the leaders of the enemy's fascist government accountable.' The movement called upon 'our masses in the West Bank and the occupied territories to do everything possible to support our prisoners, intensify all solidarity activities, and ignite all confrontation fronts against this enemy that understands nothing but the language of force.' In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the brigades said: "In cooperation with the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades... we announce the destruction of an occupation army vehicle by detonating a pre-planted anti-armor explosive device during its incursion east of the Shujaiya neighborhood in Gaza City on July 8 of this year." Britain: We will recognize Palestine unless Israel takes concrete actions on Gaza

London – Saba: British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced on Tuesday that his country will recognize the state of Palestine next September unless Israel takes concrete steps toward peace, a ceasefire, and ending the horrific situation in Gaza. During a press statement on Gaza following a UK cabinet meeting, Starmer added that airdrops of aid to Gaza "have begun," emphasizing his desire to see at least 500 aid trucks entering the strip daily. He stated that the only way to resolve the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is through a long-term solution, affirming his support for ceasefire efforts and stressing that the time has come to recognize Palestine. "I can confirm that Britain will recognize the state of Palestine at the United Nations General Assembly in September unless the Israeli government takes tangible steps to end the appalling situation in Gaza and agree to a ceasefire," he said. With American and European support, the Israeli occupation army has continued to commit genocidal crimes in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in the deaths of 60,034 Palestinian civilians, most of them children and women, and injuring 145,870 others as of today. The toll is not final, as thousands of victims remain under rubble or in the streets, unreachable by rescue and medical teams. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print
