UN: 1 in 3 People in Gaza has gone days without food

Saba Yemen07-07-2025
New York – SABA:
The United Nations stated on Monday that Israel, the occupying power, continues to obstruct humanitarian aid initiatives for Gaza, confirming that occupation authorities rejected 3 out of 8 UN relief proposals just yesterday (Sunday).
UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric revealed "1 in 3 people in Gaza has not eaten for days.'
Fuel—a "lifeline for survival"—remains blocked, exacerbating the collapse of food and medical systems.
Israel denied 37.5% of UN aid initiatives (3 of 8) on Sunday alone.
Dujarric demanded Israel "open all crossings immediately" to comply with international humanitarian law.
700,000 Gazans have been displaced multiple times since Israel violated the March ceasefire.
No safe zones remain; civilians face bombardment even in designated "humanitarian areas'.
57,523 martyrs (mostly children/women) and 136,617 injured since October 7, 2023.
Thousands more remain trapped under rubble, unreachable due to ongoing attacks and blockade.
The statement condemned U.S. and European support enabling Israel's genocide, now in its 10th month with no accountability.

Gulf countries welcome French recognition of Palestinian state

Saudi Arabia and fellow Gulf Arab states on Friday welcomed president Emmanuel Macron's announcement that France would recognise the state of Palestine, and urged other countries to follow suit. Other EU members have recognised Palestine since the Gaza war erupted in October 2023 but France is the first member of the G7 group of major advanced economies to do so. The Saudi foreign ministry said 'the kingdom commends this historic decision, which reaffirms the international community's consensus on the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and to establish their independent state'. It called on other countries 'that have not yet recognised the State of Palestine to take similar positive steps'. Macron said on Thursday that France would formally recognise a Palestinian state during a UN meeting in September. A ministerial-level meeting co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia to discuss a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is planned for later this month. Qatar, a key mediator in indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas on ending the Gaza war, also welcomed the French move. Its foreign ministry said the move 'constitutes significant support for the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people' and 'contributes to advancing prospects for achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the region'. The Kuwaiti foreign ministry said it 'commended this significant step'. The six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) – which also includes the UAE and Bahrain, both of which have ties with Israel – also praised the move.

Resistance Committees hail heroic operation west Tulkarm

The Palestinian Resistance Committees on Thursday commended the heroic ramming operation carried out by Palestinian heroes. One of the Palestinian heroes at the bus station in the Kfar Yona settlement, west of Tulkarm Governorate. The committees affirmed in a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that this blessed heroic operation is a natural response and a fundamental duty to the Zionist crimes and the war of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and displacement against our people in Gaza and the West Bank. The committees said: "The heroic ramming operation in the Kfar Yona settlement proves once again that our people are aligned with the option of resistance, and that our resistance fighters, our revolutionary youth, and our freedom fighters have the creativity, ability, and high readiness to strike the Zionist enemy and shatter its security and intelligence doctrine, as well as its arrogance and haughtiness, at any time and in any place they choose." The committees added: "This heroic operation exposes the falsehood of the illusion, mirage, and deception that Netanyahu and his extremist government are attempting to deceive the Zionist public. They assert that the fascist crimes committed by the Zionist army, at the behest of Netanyahu and his extremist government ministers, will only bring more killing, bloodshed, and destruction to the Zionist settlers." The Resistance Committees called on all the sons of the Palestinian people and their free people in the West Bank, Jerusalem and the territories occupied in 1948 to revolt, rise up in the uprising and mobilize in all areas of engagement with the Zionist soldiers and settlers and to direct strong and painful blows at them in response to the crimes of the enemy in Gaza and in all of occupied Palestine and in rejection of the Zionist decision to annex the West Bank and the Jordan Valley. Palestinian Freedom Movement blesses car ramming west Tulkarm

Occupied Quds - Saba: The Palestinian Freedom Movement blessed the run-over attack that took place this morning, Thursday, at the bus station in Kfar Yona, west of Tulkarm Governorate. The movement said in a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency "Saba": "We bless the run-over attack that took place this morning at the bus station in Kfar Yona, west of Tulkarm Governorate, in the heart of Zionist military and security control, which was carried out by one of our people's mujahideen in the West Bank, and resulted in the injury of nine soldiers of the Nazi Zionist enemy." The Movement stated that "this heroic operation comes within the framework of a natural response to the ongoing crimes of genocide against the Palestinian people and the enemy's attempts to liquidate their cause through settlement, Judaization, and annexation in the West Bank." It said the resistance's strikes will continue and escalate despite all the strict security measures imposed by the Zionist entity and despite all attempts by the Zionist occupier and its parties in the Knesset to control the West Bank. "The resistance has spoken its word and will continue its epic of heroism, sacrifice, and attrition, in light of the ongoing criminality and abuse against our people and our land. The Zionist enemy's plots and crimes will be met with further resistance strikes," it added. It also stressed that the path to victory is the path of resistance and steadfastness, and that the escalation of these operations confirms that the Palestinian people are here to stay, that their rights will not be lost with the passage of time, and that they will remain steadfast until they achieve their goals of return and freedom.
