Brooklyn Beckham breaks silence as David is finally given knighthood
While many of his family are known to celebrate their loved ones achievements, David's eldest son, Brooklyn, was nowhere to be seen on social media, adding fuel to the already blazing fire that the family are in the midst of a turbulent time. Taking to Instagram, the wannabe chef shared three packets of pretzel pita chips following the news that David was being made a Sir by His Majesty.
According to sources, David never told Brooklyn about his accolade and the former aspiring chef learned about the achievement through the media.
A source for Brooklyn told Page Six he was thrilled his dad was finally receiving the honour, while a source quoted as someone close to his parents told the publication: "Brooklyn told his family he wants no contact and he's not responding to those that try to connect."
David's knighthood comes soon after he was snapped attending a Royal event this week, hosted by King Charles himself.
The footballer was snapped attending the King's Foundation Awards ceremony at St James' Palace in London – before the official announcement of his long-awaited knighthood.
He looked dapper in a navy blue double breasted blazer, striped blue shirt and a grey tie for the lavish event.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn, 26, who is married to socialite Nicola Peltz Beckham, has been embroiled in a feud within the Beckham family. It was noted how the couple were missing from Victoria's birthday party in April and David's 50th birthday milestone in May.
It was later reported that the hot sauce enthusiast told his famous parents he 'wants no contact' with them. Sources close to Brooklyn told Page Six that he was thrilled his dad was finally receiving the honour and had known it was so important.
However, a separate source close to the Beckhams told the publication: "Brooklyn told his family he wants no contact and he's not responding to those that try to connect."
Yet a separate Brooklyn source denied the claim, saying: "This seems to be another deliberate attempt to misrepresent the truth, and it only serves to distract from this honour being bestowed on Brooklyn's father."

It kicked off when Lana posted an Instagram video which showed her in a car, listening to a segment of a song from her upcoming album, with the lyrics 'Ethel Cain hated my Instagram post / Think it's cute reenacting my Chicago pose.' People were quick to deduce that the lyric seems to reference a picture from 2024 of Cain with Jack Donoghue - Del Ray's supposed ex-boyfriend, in front of a dam. Ethel had a close friendship with Jack, and some reports even suggested she dated him after his relationship with Lana. What's more, the 2024 image was strikingly similar to a previous photo of Del Rey and Donoghue outside Chicago's Cook County Jail. In the song, Rey's lyrics also say 'The most famous girl at the Waffle House/ I don't regret it/ The most famous girl at the Waffle House.' In a 2022 profile in The New York Times, Cain was dubbed 'The Most Famous Girl at the Waffle House' - leading many people to think Ray is throwing further shade at her here. The lyric also references Lana's own viral 2023 moment, when she was spotted working a shift at a Waffle House in Alabama. Things escalated even further when Pop Pass shared a post reporting on the unreleased segment of the song, Lara also alleged that Ethel body-shamed her in a comment. 'I don't know who Ethel was until a few years ago – when someone brought to my attention the disturbing and graphic side-by-side images she would often put up of me next to unflattering creatures and cartoon characters making constant comments about my weight, I was confused at what she was getting at,' she wrote. Battlefield 6 players get free gift if they cause $1 trillion of damage in beta
EA has set Battlefield 6 players an explosive challenge in the open beta, depending on exactly how much property damage they cause. Battlefield 6's second open beta officially went live on Thursday, adding an additional map called Empire State and two new modes in Rush and Squad Deathmatch. The beta is set to run until Sunday, August 18 at 9am BST, and developer EA has leaned into the franchise's appetite for destruction via a new challenge for players. If players around the world manage to collectively cause $1 trillion worth of damage in the Battlefield 6 beta, everyone who participated will receive a Destruction weapon skin for the M60 machine gun when the full game launches on October 10, 2025. At the time of writing, the total amount of financial damage is just over $100 billion, a figure carried over from the first beta, so players have a lot to demolish over the next two days if they want to claim their prize.
