'First one to see' and Yellow Car named among best car games
The top 20 list also features the Alphabet Game, where players come up with words from specific categories starting with consecutive letters, and the timeless Rock Paper Scissors. Other favourites include Name That Tune, Would You Rather, and even Truth or Dare.
This news comes as Londoners playing 'Yellow Car' would have scored plenty, following sightings of five new Renault 5 E-Tech Electric vehicles touring iconic spots in the city.
Each vehicle was decked out in Renault's signature yellow pop colourway, ensuring they stood out amidst the urban landscape. The coordinated quintet of cars was seen cruising by landmarks such as The Mall and Big Ben.
Commenting on the findings, a spokesperson from the car manufacturer, which sponsored the research, said: "The nation will be taking to the roads this Bank Holiday weekend and I'm sure many will be playing at least one of these classic car games. While I-Spy might still be the most popular, Yellow Car is one that many will be familiar with.
"Trying to spot a brightly coloured car while on the road can keep adults and children alike entertained and can help make any car journey go that little bit quicker.
"So, having launched Renault 5 with the option of vibrant, fun colours, we wanted to play a real-life version of the Yellow Car game on the streets of London, so anyone driving past would have had a bumper load of cars to shout about."
Research has also highlighted that for 67% of those engaged in vehicular games, it's all about wiling away the time and keeping tedium at bay, yet 43% admit these games help in brightening spirits.
Furthermore, 16% of people turn to automotive games as a means to diminish their screen engagement or to avoid aimless phone scrolling.
It has also come to light that 63% of adults experience a wave of nostalgia for their juvenile road trips through these games.
Embarking on UK road trips surfaced as the prime occasion for initiating a game (53%), followed by outings such as day trips (41%) and when visiting kin (32%).
Remarkably, 21% of adults continue the fun with mates in the car and 17% get into the spirit on the thrilling drive to the airport.
Moreover, close to one in ten parents (8%), surveyed via OnePoll, rely on these diversions to keep their children amused during the school commute.

Full list of electric cars eligible for new UK Government grant of £1,500
Some electric cars have been approved for a discount under a new taxpayer-funded drive to accelerate the switch to EVs. The Department for Transport (DfT) has confirmed 13 more electric car models are now eligible for new UK Government grants. Drivers can save £1,500 with the purchase of certain Nissan, Renault and Vauxhall models. The discount will be automatically applied at the point of sale. Four Citroen cars were announced as the first grant-eligible models last week with more models expected to be approved in the coming weeks as manufacturers' applications are assessed against sustainability standards. The new £650 million electric car grant scheme enables motorists purchasing some new electric cars costing up to £37,000 to save either £1,500 or £3,750, depending on the vehicle's green credentials. All models announced so far are eligible for grants of £1,500. Car models eligible for £1,500 electric car grant Citroen: e-C3, e-C4, e-C5 and e-Berlingo. Renault: Alpine A290, Megane, 4, 5 and Scenic. Nissan Micra and Ariya (discounts on the Ariya will be available at dealerships from August 13) Vauxhall: Corsa Electric, Combo Life Electric, Astra Electric, Mokka Electric, Frontera Electric and Grandland Electric. Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander said: 'With discounts on 17 car models announced this week alone, we're delivering on our promise to make it easier and cheaper for families to go electric. 'This is about backing drivers, putting money back into people's pockets and creating the jobs and growth that will drive Britain forward.' The DfT has previously said many drivers cite upfront costs as a 'key barrier' to buying an EV and the grant will bring down prices so they 'more closely match their petrol and diesel counterparts'. However, shadow transport secretary Richard Holden said: 'Labour ministers' decision to hand £650 million of taxpayers' money to foreign car companies, for cars made in foreign countries, is deranged. 'This latest mess with a confused rollout and botched incentives is only making things worse. 'Labour has put ideological obsession ahead of hard pressed taxpayers, who are staring down the barrel of billions in tax rises to come after Labour's disastrous massive tax hike budget last year that has already seen over 100,000 people join the dole queue. 'Labour's heavy-handed meddling is damaging confidence, placing British jobs at risk, and putting the brakes on competition. 'Consumers and the market should be trusted to drive the transition to cleaner technologies, not this clueless Government.' RAC head of policy Simon Williams said: 'Another wave of cars qualifying for the Government's revamped electric car grant is yet more welcome news. 'It's also very positive to see other manufacturers that don't meet the grant's green production targets lowering their prices. 'Those looking to make the switch now have a wider choice of better-value vehicles than ever before. This can only help speed up the transition to electric motoring.' Online vehicle marketplace Auto Trader said it has seen a spike in interest for electric cars since the grant was announced, with interest in some brands trebling. James Taylor, managing director of Nissan Motor GB, said the announcement that its models will be eligible is 'an exciting step in the UK's electrification journey'. Steve Catlin, his counterpart at Vauxhall, said the manufacturer has been 'committed to electrifying Britain for years'. Under the Government's zero emission vehicle (Zev) mandate, at least 28 per cent of new cars sold by each manufacturer in the UK this year must be zero emission, which generally means pure electric. Across all manufacturers, the figure during the first half of the year was 21.6 per cent. Colin Walker, head of transport at the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit think tank, warned that the impact of the electric car grant scheme could be 'undermined' by recent changes to the Zev mandate which mean it will be easier for manufacturers who do not meet the targets to avoid fines. He added that this risks 'driving down EV sales'. The UK Government has pledged to ban the sale of new fully petrol and diesel cars and vans from 2030.

Four people rushed to hospital after ambulance crashes into car on A89
One person had to be airlifted to hospital following the early-morning incident. Four people have been taken to hospital after a car and an ambulance collided on a Scots road. The horror crash occurred at around 6.50am on Monday, August 11, on the A98 at Arradoul, near Buckie. Emergency crews raced to the scene, with one person airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The other three were taken to Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin. Their conditions are not known at this stage. Police have closed the road at the A990 and A942 junctions. Images from the scene show the aftermath of the crash, with the ambulance tipped over on its side, with the metal on its front cab warped and buckled, and its windscreen smashed. The car, a dark blue Renault, is positioned off the road, and is severely damaged at the back, with its rear window missing and part of its roof seemingly torn off. A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: 'We received a call at 6.56am to attend a two-vehicle road traffic collision at A98 junction on the A942, near Buckie. 'We dispatched multiple resources to the scene including three ambulances, a critical care paramedic (CCP) and Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA). 'We transported three patients to Dr Gray's Hospital, and one patient was transported by SCAA to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.' Drivers have been asked to avoid the area by Police Scotland. A spokesperson said: "The A98 near Buckie is closed at the A990 and A942 junctions following a serious crash involving a car and an ambulance. "Emergency services were called to the A98 at Arradoul around 6.50am on Monday, 11 August. "Motorists are asked to avoid the area."
