Just a few days ago, Khan had got another death threat and it was via a Whatsapp message received on the phone of the Mumbai traffic police. Meanwhile now, Baba Siddique's son, Zeeshan has revealed that he got a death threat via email, demanding a ransom of Rs 10 crore.

, as mentioned at the end of the mail, they demanded a ransom of Rs 10 crore. The police have taken the details and recorded the statement. Our family is disturbed because of this." The report further stated that the sender has demanded a ransom of Rs 10 crore, or else Zeeshan would be killed the same way as his father.

Youth who kidnapped, raped 3-year-old killed in encounter
1 2 Lucknow: A man accused of kidnapping and raping a three-year-old girl in Lucknow was killed in an encounter with police in the early hours of Friday. The accused was identified as Deepak Verma, 24. Police said he was a habitual offender, and several criminal cases were lodged against him at various police stations. Police had announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for any information leading to his arrest. On Thursday, a complaint was registered at Alambagh police station that a three-year-old girl was kidnapped and raped. The minor sustained multiple injuries to her private parts. Deputy commissioner of police (Central) Ashish Srivastava said, "CCTV footage was scanned, and the accused, who arrived at the spot on a white scooter, was identified through the number plate." Alambagh police were working on the case when, through an informer's tip-off. It was learnt that the Aishbagh resident was trying to flee the city. When the police apprehended him, he fired at the police. Inspector in-charge of Alambagh, Subhash Chandra Saroj, was fired at twice by the accused, but the bulletproof jacket saved his life, police said. "In retaliatory firing, cops shot him, and he was critically injured. Verma was rushed to Lokbandhu Hospital for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries. Doctors confirmed his death, and a postmortem is being conducted as per procedure," the DCP said. "The action was taken purely in self-defence. The response was measured and controlled to apprehend the accused alive, but he succumbed to his injuries. The police recovered a country-made pistol and the scooter from the scene," the DCP added. The DCP said that the accused worked as a vendor selling water at railway stations. To recall, the three-year-old girl was kidnapped while she was sleeping next to her parents on the roadside early Thursday morning. Big blow to guerrilla movement, top commanders surrender
1 2 Nagpur: In a significant blow to the Maoist movement in the Dandakaranya region, 12 senior Maoists surrendered before chief minister Devendra Fadnavis during his visit to Gadchiroli district on Friday. The event, attended by state minister and Gadchiroli's co-guardian minister Ashish Jaiswal, marks a milestone in the state's ongoing efforts to curb Naxalism through its surrender and rehabilitation policy, in place since 2005. The surrendered Maoists include high-ranking members, including Sapna alias Swapnakka Buchayya Chaudhary, 55, a divisional committee member (DVCM) of the Indravati Area, Ramdas alias Somaji Halami, 55, DVCM of Kutul area committee, and Shivlal alias Sukalu Pada, 60, DVCM of Kutul Dalam, among others. The group also comprised commanders, deputy commanders, and members of various Maoist units, hailing from Gadchiroli and neighbouring districts in Chhattisgarh. Since 2005, 704 Maoists have surrendered before Gadchiroli police, reflecting the success of the state's dual approach of security operations and rehabilitation. Cops arrest 6 criminals, seize illegal weapons in Puri
1 2 3 Puri: In a major enforcement drive ahead of Rath Yatra, Puri police busted an arms smuggling racket, arresting six criminals and seizing illegal weapons on Friday. The operation follows intensified security measures for the chariot festival on June 27. "We have seized six country-made firearms and 20 rounds of ammunition from the accused, effectively preventing what could have been a serious security threat during the festival," SP (Puri) Vinit Agrawal said. The accused, all with previous criminal records, were identified as Ramesh Parida alias Denga Muna (29), Babu Das (24), Gudu Panda (27), Harichandan Das (20), Pabitra Behera (25) and Chittaranjan Purohita (23). "Under the new provisions in criminal laws, we are booking the accused under Section 111 of the BNS for organised crime, along with violations of the Arms Act. Our investigation continues to uncover the full extent of their smuggling network," the SP said. Senior police officers said the accused were involved in multiple offences, including theft, robbery, assault, and hooliganism.
