U.S. Open Champ Jon Rahm Drops Clearest 'F*** You' You'll Ever Hear

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Former U.S. Open champion Jon Rahm tends to vocalize his frustration when things on the golf course do not go his way. In these situations, it's not uncommon to see him berating himself, his shot, or his club. He even took out frustration on a sign at Los Angeles Country Club for the 2023 U.S. Open. However, his words aren't always captured as clearly as they were during the final round of LIV Golf in Virginia. A poor shot resulted in a wild F-bomb that was clearly broadcast on television. 🎙️🔥 #HOT MIC — Jon Rahm unloads after a poor drive at LIV Virginia. 🤬 'F*#% you…' 'you absolute f—ing moron.' — NUCLR GOLF (@NUCLRGOLF) June 8, 2025 The incident occurred on the 615-yard, par-5 14th hole at the event's venue, the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club. Rahm hit his tee shot 285 yards, but it didn't follow an ideal trajectory, landing in a fairway bunker and unleashing the player's frustration. Nevertheless, the Spaniard demonstrated his talent by exiting the bunker with his second shot, reaching the green with his third, and two-putting for par on the hole. It was an up-and-down day for Rahm, who began Sunday with three consecutive bogeys on the first three holes. He then found a much better rhythm, carding an eagle, five birdies, and a bogey for the rest of the round. His tournament score was 10-under, placing him tied for eighth on the leaderboard. This marks Rahm's 21st top-10 finish in as many LIV Golf tournaments he has played, and his eighth this season. Jon Rahm of Legion XIII tees off at the 17th hole on day three of LIV Golf Virginia at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club on June 08, 2025 in Gainesville, his outburst in Virginia, there's no doubt that his playing level is enviable. His results at the LIV Golf Championship are backed up by a top-15 finish at the Masters Tournament and a top-10 finish at the PGA Championship. One of his most recent outbursts occurred at the Augusta National Golf Club, where he dropped his driver and made gestures of kicking it. Also very talked about were his angry remarks about the drones used in the television broadcast of last season's Nashville event. Rahm is in Oakmont this week for the 125th U.S. Open. He has fond memories of the venue, having played there in 2016 when the event last visited the course. The Spaniard finished tied for 23rd, earning low amateur honors. You may also recall that Rahm knows what it's like to win the US Open. He captured the title in 2021 on another very difficult course, Torrey Pines. Thomas Frank's to-do list at Tottenham Hotspur

Thomas Frank is set to become the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur, with the Brentford boss nearing a move across the capital. The Dane has won plenty of admirers during his time at Brentford, consolidating the West Londoners in the Premier League on a comparatively modest budget. He will inherit a Tottenham team who endured their lowest league finish since 1977, but who simultaneously ended a 17-year trophy drought with Europa League success. We've looked at five things in Thomas Frank's in-tray at Tottenham. Thomas Frank's to-do list at Tottenham Hotspur Sort recruitment focus – and quickly The change of manager already leaves Spurs behind the eight ball in this summer's window. The hesitancy to sack Ange Postecoglou following his European triumph means the North Londoners have lost ground on rival sides. In the mini-window opened ahead of the Club World Cup, Spurs failed to make a signing. Advertisement In contrast, Liam Delap (Chelsea), Matheus Cunha (Manchester United), Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cherki, Tijjani Reijnders (all Manchester City) and Jeremie Frimpong (Liverpool) all moved to potential top-four rivals. Spurs need to strengthen in key areas and Frank has minimal time to assess his squad and targets. The transfer window re-opens on June 16th. Find solution to injury problems Spurs' season was decimated by injury problems last term, with only Brighton having more individual injuries (47) than the North Londoners (41). The Seagulls were also the only Premier League team to have a higher number of days lost to injuries (1,944 to 1,543). Advertisement Repetitive injuries plagued the club's campaign and Frank will need to review their medical record. Was this just bad luck? Or were Spurs victims of Ange Postecoglou's game plan? Can the club's recovery and training be improved? There's plenty to ponder. Make tough decisions on waning stars For all his critics, Ange Postecoglou has left Spurs in a good place for his successor. The North Londoners had the third-youngest squad in the Premier League last season, with only Brighton and Chelsea less experienced. The likes of Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall will have benefitted from a baptism of fire last season, while academy product Mikey Moore is one for the future. Advertisement Frank faces tough calls on those at the other end of the scale. Rodrigo Bentancur's unavailability is a concern, while Son Heung-min has not looked the player of old. Many neutrals were happy to see Son finally get his hands on silverware, but could it be the ideal time to bow out? He scored just seven league goals last season and does not possess the same electricity as in previous years. Son is 33 next month and has spent a decade with Spurs. A call on the captain is a tough one. Bring Brentford strengths to North London Frank's data-focused methodology has won admirers, with a recent insight into Brentford's decisions in the final third fascinating. A clamp-down on speculative shooting and focus on probability helped Brentford become one of the most efficient teams in the league. Elsewhere, set-pieces were a real strong point. Last season, just three teams conceded more goals from set-pieces than Spurs. Brentford boasted the best record in the entire Premier League on his metric, conceding just twice from such situations. A clear area of improvement to target. Advertisement Read – Club World Cup: Five exciting young talents to watch See more – Florian Wirtz: What will record-breaker bring to Liverpool? ‘That's destiny': Carlos Alcaraz matches mind-blowing Rafael Nadal grand slam stat

Carlos Alcaraz believes the fact he and Spanish idol Rafael Nadal were both exactly the same age when they won their fifth grand slam title is tennis 'destiny'. Alcaraz defeated Jannik Sinner in one of the greatest ever grand slam finals to win his second French Open, winning the title aged 22 years, one month and three days. Advertisement It is exactly the same age Nadal was when the Spaniard won his fifth grand slam by defeating Roger Federer in the 2008 Wimbledon final, another of the sport's greatest ever matches. 'Honestly the coincidence of winning my fifth grand slam in the same age as Rafa Nadal, I'm going to say that's destiny, I guess,' Alcaraz said. 'I mean, it is a stat that I'm going to keep for me forever, winning the fifth grand slam at the same time as Rafa, my idol, my inspirations. 'It's a huge honor honestly. You know, hopefully it's not going to stop like this.' Alcaraz's win over Sinner will instantly go into the record book after the Spaniard saved three championship points before winning in five hours and 29 minutes - the longest French Open final of all time. Advertisement But he said that he will leave it up to the public to decide where his win over the World No 1 Sinner would rank among the best matches ever seen when compared to classics like Federer-Nadal and Borg-McEnroe. 'If people put our match in that table, it's a huge honour for me,' Alcaraz said. 'I don't know if it is at the same level as those matches because those matches are know, the history of tennis and the history of the sport. 'I don't know if our match is in the same table as them. But just happy to put our match and our names in the history of the grand slams, in the history of Roland Garros.'
