Naomi used newly customized MitB briefcase to get a match at Evolution
Next Sunday's Evolution event from WWE may be rushed, but the latest addition to its card is part of a feud that's been going on since last fall — and that many expect to continue for the next several months. It came about after Naomi showed off the newest modifications to her Money in the Bank briefcase on the July 4 SmackDown. She did so by using it to clock Jade Cargill from behind after the Queen of the Ring winner and Trish Stratus paid their respects to one another and — now that the WWE Hall of Famer is back for a shot at Tiffany Stratton's WWE Women's championship on July 13 in Atlanta — teased a possible match at SummerSlam. Shoutout to Naomi for that cackle. She's fully embraced her anime supervillain character, and it's been pretty great. Advertisement The trainer's room conversation SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis promised Cargill in the above clip led to a match against Naomi at WWE's second all-women PLE. The tweet and graphic don't say it, but they said it on the broadcast and write-up confirms that this will be No Holds Barred (essentially No DQ). While Naomi's gotten the drop on Jade outside the ring several times since taking her out last November, their clashes in the squared circle have mostly gone Cargill's way (the exception being the Triple Threat Naomi won to qualify for Money in the Bank — but she pinned Nia Jax in that, not the former AEW star). The stipulation fits the nature of the feud, and should open up the playbook for producers as they lay out the latest match in Cargill's big singles rollout. It's probably not the end of this feud though... especially since Jade has a title match at SummerSlam, and Naomi still has that briefcase. Here's the updated card for next Sunday's Evolution: Advertisement Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Trish Stratus for the WWE Women's championship IYO SKY (c) vs. Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women's World title Jacy Jayne (c) vs. Jordynne Grace for the NXT Women's championship Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez (c) vs. Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs. TBD vs. TBD in a 4-Way for the WWE Women's Tag Team titles Jade Cargill vs. Naomi in a No Holds Barred match Battle Royal for a championship match at Clash in Paris More from

Bryan Cranston Addresses ‘Lone Wolf' Troubles, Vows Not To Film Or Promote Movie 'Until Every Cast And Crew Member Is Paid Back In Full'
EXCLUSIVE: Bryan Cranston has made his position clear regarding the ongoing funding challenges facing indie movie Lone Wolf. In a message to Deadline, which you can read in full below, the Breaking Bad and Trumbo star said he won't return to finish filming or promote the feature until all cast and crew that are owed money are paid back in full. A 'distressed' Cranston, who himself has been paid for his work to date, has spoken to multiple co-stars who are still owed money. More from Deadline 'Lone Wolf' Producer Describes 'Extremely Challenging Process' As Crew & Actors On Movie Remain Unpaid & Movie Is Still Unfinished Months After Wrap Bryan Cranston Thriller 'Lone Wolf' Endures Turbulent Production With Dozens Of Crew Still Unpaid Weeks After Wrap 'Everything's Going To Be Great' Review: Bryan Cranston And Allison Janney Lead Game Cast In Uneven Dramedy About A Family Whose Lives Aren't In Sync As we revealed earlier today, there is around a $2M shortfall in funding on the project, whose shoot came to an abrupt halt months ago. Crew, vendors and some cast are still owed at least one week's wages, and there remains filming to be done. As noted by financier-producer Jordan Wagner to us today, the project suffered a 'breakdown in the financing structure', and financiers have been scrambling to plug gaps. You can read Wagner's statement and the latest on the situation here and more about the original crew response here. Shortly after our story went up earlier today, I got a call from another financier on the project who said he hadn't known a situation quite like this on a movie in more than two decades in the business. As we've noted before, legal action is being discussed by different parties. Indie movies hitting snags is not uncommon, but it is more rare for projects of a certain scale and with as many good elements as Lone Wolf to trip up like this during production. Mark Pellington directs the conspiracy thriller about a troubled veteran (Lily Gladstone) struggling with addiction who is recruited by a contractor (Cranston) for a covert government plot to assassinate a high-level politician. Cast also includes O'Shea Jackson, Jr., Jennifer Ehle, Chet Hanks and Spencer Garrett. The producing team includes Oscar nominee Christine Vachon and vet Ted Hope, alongside others. Bryan Cranston's message to Deadline, which he is happy for us to share: 'The report in Deadline (as far as I know) is very accurate (thank you for that, Andreas). It is very unfortunate that this intriguing little story was sideswiped by a few incidents that temporarily derailed the film's production. I don't know all the details – only from what I'm hearing second hand (I am not a producer on this film) so all I can relay is what I do know.'For some reason money that was promised to be deposited into the escrow accounts for the cast and crew were not done so in a timely manner. That caused a couple stoppages to the shooting. Then, apparently some portion of what was promised was deposited, and that lifted the DO NOT WORK order and we started up again.'Right now, there is a strong effort to raise the necessary capital to finish the film, and I think that will happen for two main reasons: One, because the missing few scenes (approximately over two shooting days) are vital to the story. And two, that I (and I think I speak for Lily as well) will not do anything to promote the film until every cast and crew member is paid back in full, and we will not appear on screen again (ie return to filming) for this movie until that happens.'In full transparency, I was paid for my part in this film even before the last temporary work stoppage – so I was surprised when I found out that we had to stop again, and that most of the crew didn't get, as far as I know, their last two weeks of pay, nor did the co-stars in the movie.'That is where it stands now…I'm distressed that this has caused so much grief and distrust, and so sorry that this crew (which was fantastic) were not treated with the respect they deserved, but I really believe that the producers will manage these difficult times by making everyone whole, and we'll finish the film….Man, what a mess. When is Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 releasing? Everything we know so far
By Aman Shukla Published on July 12, 2025, 19:00 IST Last updated July 12, 2025, 12:39 IST Alright, fellow demigods, gather 'round! If you're anything like us, you've been hyped for Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 ever since that killer first season hit Disney+. Rick Riordan's books are basically my childhood, and the show's doing them justice. So, let's spill the beans on when Season 2's coming, what's going down and everything we know so far. When Is Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 Coming Out? Mark your calendars for December 2025! That's when Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 is set to premiere on Disney+. No exact date has been locked in yet, but a May 2025 post from the official Percy Jackson X account and various news outlets like Deadline have pointed to December as the big moment. For fans in India, you'll be able to stream it on JioHotstar, too, right alongside the global Disney+ release. Production wrapped back in February 2025, so the team's had plenty of time to polish those epic sea monster battles and Camp Half-Blood scenes. If Season 1's December 2023 debut is any clue, Disney loves a holiday-season drop for this show. Keep your eyes peeled for a specific date as we get closer! What's the Story for Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2? Season 2's diving into The Sea of Monsters , the second book in Riordan's series, and it's gonna be a wild ride. Our boy Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) is back, teaming up with Annabeth Chase (Leah Sava Jeffries) and Grover Underwood (Aryan Simhadri) for a quest to save Grover from a not-so-friendly Cyclops named Polyphemus. Oh, and Kronos is stirring up trouble, so stakes are sky-high. We're getting deep into Camp Half-Blood's world—think chariot races (finally!), Annabeth's backstory with Luke and Thalia, and all the camp drama. Unlike those old movies that kinda missed the mark, the Disney+ show is sticking close to the books. Clarisse La Rue (Dior Goodjohn) is stepping up big time, too, and I'm stoked to see her throw some punches (or at least some shade). Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 Expect Cast The dream team's returning: Walker Scobell as our sarcastic hero Percy, Leah Sava Jeffries as brainy Annabeth, and Aryan Simhadri as lovable Grover. Dior Goodjohn's Clarisse is getting more screen time, per Riordan's own words in a Goodreads Q&A. And hold up—we've got Rosemarie DeWitt joining as Circe, the goddess of magic.
