The country music singer lost both his grandmothers on Wednesday, McCreery wrote in a Facebook post Thursday.
'My heart is absolutely broken. Yesterday, both my Grandma Janet and my Grandma Paquita passed away. I think I am still in a bit of shock as I type this, but I'm choosing to remember the great memories we all made with both of them,' he wrote.
'There really are too many to count. From being on the farm in Elizabeth City or visiting the Outer Banks with Grandma Janet.. And then the incredible memories we made at the backyard pool in Pinehurst, all the way to visiting Puerto Rico with Grandma Paquita. Both of them truly taught me what love is all about,' McCreery wrote. 'I will miss them dearly. If yall could keep my family in your prayers I'd appreciate it.'

'So sorry for your losses,' one comment read. 'It's hard to fathom losing both your grandmothers in the same day. Prayers for you and your family.'
'Both at once…more than you should bear,' another comment read. 'Praying that you find comfort in your memories.'

Kelly Rowland And AJ McLean On Their Dream Bands
We all know the iconic Kelly Rowland from Destiny's Child and superstar AJ McLean from the Backstreet Boys. C'mon, they are pop ROYALTY. We recently had the chance to chat with them for Netflix's Building the Band. The duo were genuine, lovely, and charismatic. My inner child was SCREAMING WITH EXCITEMENT. Building the Band is a unique competition show that brings together talented singers from all over the world to build the perfect band. The singers are in complete control of their own destiny as they listen and chat with the other singers, seeking to form their very own bands in individual 'booths' without ever seeing each other. It's all about chemistry. Its kind of like Love is Blind meets American Idol meets The Voice. The individual singers are literally building their own bands based on only hearing each others' voices and having conversations in their own 'booths'. The goal? To build the next great music band! AJ McLean is the host of the Building the Band and Kelly Rowland is a guest judge. Nicole Scherzinger is a mentor/judge and the late Liam Payne is a guest judge. Naturally, we just HAD to ask AJ and Kelly who they would put in their dream bands. And no, they weren't allowed to include their current or past band members. AJ said, "I'm going to say Bruno Mars and Ryan Tedder...I feel like we all kind of grew up on R&B, soul, pop. I think it would be a solid pop, R&B group." For Kelly, her dream band would be, "Roberta Flack and Lauryn Hill." "Oh good one!" added AJ in the background. For the full interview clip and what genre of band they'd be, watch here: Building The Band is streaming now on Netflix. I, for one, am completely hooked. Luke Bryan responds after someone threw a ball at his face while on stage
While performing his final song of the night at the North Dakota State Fair on July 27, country music star Luke Bryan was struck in the face by an object. While singing his hit song 'Country Girl (Shake It for Me),' someone in the crowd threw a ball toward the stage, striking Bryan in the face mid song. Bryan was visibly thrown off by the incident, taking a minute as the crowd continued to sing the song for him. Bryan then puts a smile on his face as he continued on with the song. 'It's the last song of the night. It was a big ole fun party, and I think one person just took it too far,' he told Taste of Country Nights, addressing the incident for the first time. 'We see it. Every other entertainer out there is getting stuff — you get stuff thrown at ya. You hope that you can see who did it,' he added. Despite quickly shaking off the incident, Bryan said his reaction may have been different if he would have seen who threw the ball. 'I mean, if I saw him throw it, I could have gone right to him,' he said. 'I probably would have jumped right off in there.' Unfortunately, Bryan isn't the first performer to have been hit with an object while on stage. Kelsea Ballerini, Billie Eilish and Bebe Rexha are just a few other performers who have experienced situations like Bryan's. Shortly after speaking out about the incident, Bryan also shared news about his future as a judge on American Idol. 'Last year was really really incredible with Carrie (Underwood) and Lionel (Richie) and Ryan (Seacrest),' Bryan told Taste of Country Nights, 'and the main thing is just, have fun with 'American Idol' and have fun with the kids (contestants).' As for which of the judges will be returning for the next season of American Idol, Bryan says his 'prediction would be highly favorable' for Underwood to return next season. But as for his own return, Bryan says, 'We'll see what happens,' noting that the show takes it 'year‑by‑year.'

Luke Bryan attends the "American Idol" 20th Anniversary Celebration at Desert 5 Spot on April 18, 2022 in Los Angeles, To Know In an interview with Taste of Country, which was published on Wednesday, Bryan implied his seat at the judge's table isn't confirmed yet for Season 24. "Idol is kind of a year-by-year, 'Do we do it or not?'" the "Country Girl" singer told the outlet. "Last year was really really incredible with Carrie and Lionel and Ryan, and the main thing is just, have fun with American Idol and have fun with the kids [contestants]." "We'll see what happens," he said. Underwood, who won American Idol in 2005, wrapped up her first season as a judge in the spring. "I know she had a great time in the role," Bryan shared, adding that the chance of her returning is "highly favorable." In an interview with Entertainment Tonight (ET) in May following the Season 23 finale, Bryan said he wanted to stay on as a judge for the hit show. "Hopefully the phone will start ringing," he told them. Last year, ahead of Season 23, the country star hinted that ABC's parent company, Disney, doesn't share information about American Idol's judges quickly. "It's been interesting. It's been something Disney [has] been really tightlipped about with me and Lionel and Ryan," he told Billboard in July 2024 following Perry's exit. "We currently haven't heard what the story is on who's coming back, and if Lionel and I are coming back. I think Disney is just trying to figure out what they want to do and we're just kind of sitting back and waiting until they decide." What People Are Saying Underwood kept things vague about her American Idol future during a conversation with ET: "I don't know! There's lots to contemplate." Richie told ET: "Are you kidding me? I wouldn't miss this for the world." What Happens Next American Idol's Season 24 premiere date has not yet been announced.
