Early Sunday, AEW introduced its first 2025 Pay-Per-View, Revolution, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
This was the first AEW PPV event to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
The card included several gimmick matches such as Steel Cage and Hollywood Ending matches.
The majority of the promotion's titles were on the line, such as the AEW World title, AEW Women's World title, and the International title.
Only one new champion was crowned, Kenny Omega. Omega defeated Konosuke Takeshita to become the new AEW International champion. This could be Omega's first single title since 2022.
The event was almost a sold-out event, and trended worldwide.

Mike Flanagan's "Carrie" TV Series Cast Revealed
Yara Sameh Mike Flanagan's Amazon Prime Video series adaptation of 'Carrie' has rounded out its main cast. Summer Howell (Curse of Chucky), who was reported to be in talks back in April, will play the titular horror teen Carrie White. Matthew Lillard (Five Nights at Freddy's) was also previously reported to be cycling the role of Principal Grayle in May and has now closed on the role. The new cast also includes Samantha Sloyan (The Fall of the House of Usher) as Carrie's mom, Margaret White, Alison Thornton (Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce) as Chris Hargensen, Thalia Dudek (The Running Man) as Emaline, Siena Agudong (Sidelined: The QB and Me) as Sue Snell, Amber Midthunder (FX's Legion) as Miss Desjardin, Josie Totah (AppleTV+'s The Buccaneers) as Tina, Arthur Conti (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice) as Billy, and Joel Oulette (Sullivan's Crossing) as Tommy. The series was first reported to be in development in October 2024. Amazon has ordered eight episodes, with production slated to begin this summer in Vancouver. Flanagan, a modern horror maestro, is set as executive producer, showrunner, writer, and will direct select episodes of the series. Trevor Macy will executive produce. Amazon MGM Studios will produce. Based on Stephen King's debut novel of the same name, the series is described as a 'bold and timely reimagining of the story of misfit high-schooler Carrie White (Howell), who has spent her life in seclusion with her domineering mother. After her father's sudden and untimely death, Carrie finds herself contending with the alien landscape of public high school, a bullying scandal that shatters her community, and the emergence of mysterious telekinetic powers.' King's novel has been previously adapted for the big screen, with Sissy Spacek playing Carrie in the 1976 Brian De Palma movie "Carrie", and Chloë Grace Moretz in the 2013 remake. The role marks the latest collaboration between Sloyan and Flanagan, as she has previously starred in his shows 'The Haunting of Hill House,' 'The Fall of the House of Usher,' 'The Midnight Club,' and 'Midnight Mass.' Cairokee to Perform Live in Saudi Arabia on June 8
Yara Sameh Egyptian rock band Cairokee is set to hit the stage at Thanaya Concert Hall, in Saudi Arabia on Sunday, June 8. They are set to present several of their popular and latest songs. The concert is a part of AlUla Moments' musical nights. View this post on Instagram A post shared by AlUla Moments لحظات العلا (@alulamoments) Cairokee consists of lead vocalist Amir Eid, lead guitarist Sherif Hawary, drummer Tamer Hashem, keyboarder Sherif Mostafa, and bass guitarist Adam el-Alfy. The band was founded in 2003 but rose to fame with its revolutionary music after the 2011 Revolution due to its politically inspired lyrics and protest songs released following the revolution. They have been friends since they were children, and Hashem has been a drummer since school days. In 2003, Eid and Hawary had already started an English band, initially called 'The Black Star,' and started playing covers of English songs alongside an Egyptian song entitled 'Ghariba,' which was loved by their audiences. The band's first major hit was 'Sout El Horeya,' which has millions of views on YouTube and was ranked a world record as one of the most-watched videos in the shortest period of time. Their song 'Ya El Midan', featuring prominent Egyptian singer Aida el Ayoubi, who had previously retired in the 1990s, ranked number one on Facebook worldwide for downloads and number eight on YouTube with over half a million views on the video channel in just two days after its debut release. Mercedes Moné claimed the Women's Owen Hart Cup by defeating Jamie Hayter, marking a significant milestone in her AEW career . Other notable matches included Toni Storm retaining the AEW Women's Championship against Mina Shirakawa, and Kazuchika Okada successfully defending the AEW Continental Championship against "Speedball" Mike Bailey .
