Vijayawada: Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education on Monday hosted its Induction and Orientation Programme for newly admitted students at its Central Auditorium.
The event officially marked the beginning of the academic year, aiming at familiarising students with the institution's vision, academic environment, and extensive support systems.
Vice-Chancellor Prof P Venkateswara Rao, inaugurating the programme, stressed the importance of multidisciplinary learning for holistic development and urged students to contribute to building an Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India). Prof Rao underscored innovation, discipline, and character as foundational elements of the institution's educational philosophy.
Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof AV Ratna Prasad exhorted students to pursue knowledge without boundaries, outlining the university's vision and mission. He advised them to fully engage in both academic pursuits and campus life, seizing every opportunity for personal and intellectual growth.
Registrar Prof M Ravichand, Prof D Venkata Rao, Dean, School of Engineering, Prof GSN Swamy, Dean of Admissions and Student Affairs, the Deans, Heads of all Departments, faculty, parents, and students also participated in the programme.

TTD to conduct ‘Sadgamaya' from June 16 to inculcate values among schoolchildren

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced to conduct 'Sadgamaya', its prestigious programme aimed at inculcating values among schoolchildren, from June 16 to 19. The programme aims at teaching students values like devotion, discipline and social responsibility, besides covering the teachings of Bhagavad Gita in simple language for better understanding by the pupils. Executive Officer J. Shyamala Rao said that the classes would be conducted for the seventh, eighth and ninth grade students of the various schools run by the TTD in Tirupati and Tirumala. At a meeting held here on Tuesday, he also reviewed the progress of ongoing projects like Annamacharya Project, Dasa Sahitya Project and the developmental works at SVIMS. Timely resolution Dwelling on Human Resources Management, Mr. Rao stressed on timely resolution of the issues raised by employees to the mutual satisfaction of both the parties. 'Matters that fall under the government's jurisdiction should be discussed with the officials concerned and appropriate permissions obtained. The allocations for the Employees' Health Care Fund and payment of other allowances should be made without any delay', he instructed. Prominent among the issues raised by the employees were problems such as roads, drainage, building leakage, power supply and other infrastructure shortcomings faced in the residential colonies at Vinayaka Nagar, Ram Nagar, SV Poor Home, GNB and KT Quarters.

Rank allocation of 15,000 candidates on hold due to absence of intermediate marks, says APEAPCET Convener

Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture & Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (AP EAPCET) 2025 Convener Prof. V.V. Subba Rao on Tuesday announced that ranks of 15,000 candidates have not been alloted due to non availability of their Intermediate marks. However, these candidates have qualified the APEAPCET. In an official release, Prof. Rao said, 'The ranks of those waiting for Intermediate supplementary results will be released once the results are out. The candidates of ICSE, CBSE and Diploma courses will have to wait for their ranks until the release of results'. These candidates will be allowed to register their marks on the AP EAPCET website from June 11. 'There is no need to be panic,' Prof. Rao advised parents of the candidates whose rank is on the hold. The candidates can register their grievance by contacting helpline numbers 0884-2359599, 2342499 or write to helpdeskapeapcet@
