Ariana Grande Picks Out Pristine White Pumps to Accent Ethereal ‘Wicked' Pink Dress at the 2025 SAG Awards
Ariana Grande brought her 'Wicked' character Glinda's ethereal aesthetic to the 31st SAG Awards, which took place at Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles on Feb. 23. The actress and singer was dressed up in a pale pink Loewe gown for the occasion, and the look was punctuated by classic white pointed pumps.
Like many ensembles showcased since entering her 'Wicked' era, a pastel pink color dominated Grande's look at the awards show on Sunday. The Loewe dress exuded vintage elegance with semi-sheer off-the-shoulder sleeves and a flowing skirt that swept the floor. The fitted bodice was adorned with feathery floral appliqués; this three-dimensional design became less concentrated across the skirt but was maintained down the garment. Her jewelry for the night were sparkling diamonds from Jared Atelier, including a choker, ring and dangly earrings.

Falling in line with several previous shoe choices of recent times, Grande complemented her Loewe gown with white pumps. While partially obscured by her dress, it was clear she wore a pair with a pointed toe, a classic and fierce characteristic of the longstanding footwear style. She very well may have been wearing a Jimmy Choo pair — she showcased white pumps from the brand in April at CinemaCon 2024. To name other examples, she's also stepped out in white Gianvito Rossi pumps as well white Loewe pumps, though the latter featured a distinctive rounded square toe.
The 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards will take place tonight, Feb. 23, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Kristen Bell will host the ceremony, which can be streamed live via Netflix with a subscription. Top stars set to attend include Pamela Anderson, Quinta Brunson, Timothée Chalamet, Colman Domingo, Cynthia Erivo, Ralph Fiennes, Harrison Ford, Lily Gladstone, Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande. 'Wicked' leads the charge with five nominations, going up against flicks like 'Emilia Perez' with three and 'A Complete Unknown' with four. During the ceremony, legendary actress Jane Fonda will receive the Lifetime Achievement award.

Tony Awards cap a record-breaking post-pandemic Broadway season
Broadway caps a record-breaking season when the New York theater community bestows its annual Tony Awards during a gala ceremony on Sunday night with an array of nominees that leans into originality, diversity and artistic invention. Buoyed by a post-pandemic rebound, the 2024-25 season grossed a record $1.89 billion in revenue and drew 14.7 million attendees, the Broadway League said. Best musical nominees like 'Dead Outlaw,' 'Maybe Happy Ending' and 'Operation Mincemeat' tell unique and untested stories. On the play side, 'Oh, Mary!' and 'Purpose' offer vastly different takes on belief, identity and power. 5 'Maybe Happy Ending' has ten Tony Award nominations. Christopher Sadowski The 'Wicked' film star, Tony winner Cynthia Erivo, will host the 8 p.m. ET show from Radio City Music Hall. Alongside the creative highs are economic realities plaguing producers and audiences alike. Premium seats for some productions run upwards from $400, prompting concern that Broadway is increasingly out of reach for casual and younger theater lovers. Even with lotteries and rush ticket programs, demand-driven pricing has become the norm. 'Every show is its own little startup,' said Rashad Chambers, a Tony Award-winning producer whose recent credits include 'Music Man,' 'TopDog/Underdog,' and this season's Tony-nominated 'Purpose.' 'We have to create shows in a way that's affordable. Not just from the ticket-buying standpoint. The budgets are really ballooning out of control, and in my opinion, it's not always warranted,' Chambers told Reuters. 5 'Death Becomes Her' is up for ten Tony Awards including 'Best New Musical.' Christopher Sadowski Jason Laks, president of The Broadway League, said in a statement that rising costs have affected every facet of production, making it harder and harder to bring live theater to the stage. The Broadway League presents the awards along with the American Theatre Wing. This season showcased a wide range of voices and perspectives, with many shows being led by Asian American, Black, Middle Eastern and Hispanic actors and resulting in some historic nominations. Daniel Dae Kim, who starred in the revival of 'Yellow Face' this season, is the first Asian American to be nominated in the category of best leading actor in a play. 5 'Wicked' film actress Cynthia Erivo is hosting Broadway's biggest night. Christopher Sadowski 'To know that I'm the first is a little curious,' Dae Kim told Reuters, 'but above all it makes me happy and I'm really honored.' Dae Kim said representation on Broadway has been an evolution, not just for the Asian American community but many communities of color, pointing to such shows as 'Purpose,' which centers on a Black family struggling with identity and ambition. 'I look forward to the time where there's so much representation that it's no longer talked about because it's just understood and assumed,' he said. 5 The Tony Awards will air Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. CBS Chambers, the producer, said audiences, too, seemed to be more diverse. 'I feel like I'm seeing more people of color,' he said. 'I'm seeing diverse age ranges. I've seen men and women. We have a lot of plays that are appealing to men this season. And I think that that's really powerful. And so yes, I do think it's getting better.'

Jonathan Bailey Recalls Awkward Moment In "Wicked"
Jonathan Bailey has admitted he and his Wicked co-star Ariana Grande had a bit of an awkward moment when they were still getting to know one another. The British actor plays Fieryo in both Wicked and its much-hyped sequel, shooting both films back-to-back in a rather hectic time for his career, during which he was also making the TV shows Bridgerton and Fellow Travellers. As a result, Jonathan told British GQ that his rehearsal time on the movie was rather limited, with the Emmy nominee having just three days to prepare before filming began. 'I remember having four hours to learn how to do a dance move,' he explained. 'I did it with Ari, headbutted her, and was like, 'Gotta go!'' He quipped: 'I think she might have even headbutted me, but it was a meeting of minds, literally.' Fortunately, despite the literal tête-à-tête, he and the "Twilight Zone" singer went on to forge a strong friendship, at one point even attending Wimbledon together during their Wicked downtime. Last year, Jonathan spoke candidly about the toll that shooting multiple projects at the same time took on one particular aspect of his appearance. He claimed that having a perm for Bridgerton and a straight do for Fellow Travellers left his hair 'looking like coral' – and as a result, he had to sport a 'big old toupée' to play Fiyero in Wicked. 'I'm in the choreography so it's flapping about!' he joked to Variety during an Actors On Actors interview with Naomi Watts. Wicked For Good sees Jonathan once again sharing the screen with the likes of Cynthia Erivo, Jeff Goldblum and Michelle Yeoh, in the movie adaptation of the stage musical's second act. The first trailer for the sequel was released on Wednesday night, ahead of its worldwide release on Friday 21 November.
