Help 2 siblings struggling with drug abuse change their lives
The two siblings said it all started when their mother passed on, and they had to fend for themselves as they had no one to turn to. While Skhumbuzo started by merely selling the drugs and later on had a try, with Mpumelelo it was a different case.
'I was heavily pregnant in 2019 when I first tried drugs. All I wanted to do was drown my sorrows as we were left all by ourselves,' she said.
The brother and sister are currently pleading for all the assistance they can get to go to rehab and return to fetch their long buried dreams.
All Voices Matter founder, Abongile Mcoki, and Thando Masango, anti-drug activists from Kakarambha Foundation, who were the ones to identify the duo, invite the community of eMalahleni to join them on Saturday 09:00 for a voluntary cleaning campaign to improve the environment they currently live in.

Alleged killers of Mpumalanga cop traced to Eswatini
On August 14, the Royal Eswatini Police (REP), with the assistance of Commissioner Vusie Manoma Masango, traced three suspected killers to Eswatini. Lowvelder reports that the suspects allegedly shot and killed Sergeant Lawrence Mtshweni on August 8, while he and fellow officers were responding to a burglary at a business centre in Schoemansdal. According to the REP, two additional suspects were later traced to the Sishweleni region. When they noticed the police, they allegedly opened fire, prompting officers to return fire and fatally shoot both suspects. In a statement, National Commissioner of Police General Fannie Masemola thanked the cross-border operation and Masango for assisting in tracing the killers to Eswatini. 'On behalf of SAPS and Mtshweni's family, we would like to thank the REP, led by Masango, as well as the Umbutfo Defence Force for assisting Mpumalanga SAPS in locating these killers. We look forward to strengthening and deepening our co-operation on law enforcement matters. 'The attacks and killing of our police officers are a serious concern, and we call on communities to help put a stop to these killings. From April 1 to date, we have already lost six police officers; we cannot afford to lose more. We need as many boots on the ground as possible to prevent and combat crime,' says Masemola. Further investigation led Eswatini police to Mantambe in Shiselweni, where a third suspect allegedly took his own life with a pistol before police could arrest him. Mpumalanga police spokesperson Brigadier Donald Mdhluli extended his condolences to Mtshweni's family. 'Mtshweni's sacrifice is a stark reminder of the risks our police officers face every day. It is a profound loss, not only for his family and friends, but for the entire SAPS community and the society he diligently served. Thank you for allowing him to dedicate his life to serving our nation. Your support and sacrifices have undoubtedly contributed to his ability to uphold the values we hold dear in SAPS.' SAPS leadership, led by Masemola, will attend the funerals of three members who died in the line of duty this past week. Mtshweni will be buried on Saturday, August 16, in Schoemansdal. Watch: 2 women appear in court over Germiston unrest Two women, Malwande Tukula and Mandisa Mboxwana, appeared in Germiston Magistrate's Court today on charges of public violence and damaging infrastructure following protests on Tuesday. Germiston City News reports that the demonstrations resulted in a fire that severely damaged the Department of Home Affairs building and were linked to court-ordered evictions in the area. The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department's acting chief of police, JD Mkhwanazi, says roads leading to the complex had been blocked on the day to hinder officials from executing the eviction orders. The magistrate noted the seriousness of the charges and confirmed that the accused would have to submit applications for bail. The state opposed bail, and the case has been postponed to August 19 for their bail applications. The accused remain in custody in Germiston. Four South Africans arrested over Home Affairs fire
Home Affairs Minister Leon Schreiber has confirmed the arrest of four suspects in connection with the fire that destroyed the Germiston Home Affairs office. The incident happened on Tuesday during a protest by Pharoe Park residents against eviction for unpaid rent. Amid the unrest, some protesters allegedly threw a petrol bomb into the first floor of the Home Affairs building, sparking a fire that spread from a neighbouring block of flats. Schreiber said Home Affairs had opened a criminal case and was working with the South African Police Service (SAPS) to ensure convictions. 'Home Affairs is collating evidence and will open criminal charges against the anarchists who set a block of flats on fire in Germiston, which then spread to the neighbouring Home Affairs office. It is nothing less than an attack on our social infrastructure and cannot stand,' he said. Police arrested two people on Tuesday and took two more into custody on Thursday. 'For those who jumped to conclusions designed to fuel another type of fire: all four are South Africans, who will be prosecuted because we are governed by law, not prejudice,' Schreiber added.
