Help 2 siblings struggling with drug abuse change their lives
After years of struggling with drug abuse, Mpumelelo Miya (28) and Skhumbuzo Miya (24) from Kwa-Guqa Extensions plead for help to reshape their lives.
The two siblings said it all started when their mother passed on, and they had to fend for themselves as they had no one to turn to. While Skhumbuzo started by merely selling the drugs and later on had a try, with Mpumelelo it was a different case.
'I was heavily pregnant in 2019 when I first tried drugs. All I wanted to do was drown my sorrows as we were left all by ourselves,' she said.
The brother and sister are currently pleading for all the assistance they can get to go to rehab and return to fetch their long buried dreams.
All Voices Matter founder, Abongile Mcoki, and Thando Masango, anti-drug activists from Kakarambha Foundation, who were the ones to identify the duo, invite the community of eMalahleni to join them on Saturday 09:00 for a voluntary cleaning campaign to improve the environment they currently live in.
For more information on how to donate or assist, you can contact Abongile at 067 735 2191, or Thando at 078 411 1756.
