EastEnders confirms unexpected Stacey twist as Alfie vanishes
EastEnders' Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) disappears from Walford next week following a conversation with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner). As viewers of the BBC One soap know, Stacey, along with her children Arthur (Rocco Brenner) and Hope (Isabelle Smith) went to stay with their cousin Lynne (Elaine Lordan) last month. She'd had a traumatic week, having finally plucked up the courage to face the outside world following ex-husband Martin Fowler's (James Bye) death. Just as she felt brave enough, she faced a horrific setback as Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) accidentally washed her phone, containing precious photographs and voicemails. Arthur also confessed that he had access to Martin's phone – and that Stacey had been sending text messages implying that he was still alive. Fearing that she had stopped taking her bipolar medication, Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) staged an intervention. When Stacey's eldest daughter Lily (Lillia Turner) announced her intention to visit her dad Ryan Malloy (Neil McDermott) in Wakefield, Stace' decided that she too should take some time away from Albert Square. Despite their absence, tensions have been running high in the Slater household. In the aftermath of Harvey Monroe's (Ross Boatman) affair with Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth), he unknowingly signed on the dotted line to operate a limousine business with Kat. Love was clearly in the air, as Alfie then got down on one knee and proposed to Kat, with them deciding to get wed and use it as an opportunity to publicise the purchase of the vehicle. In upcoming scenes, Harvey's ex Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) is heartbroken to see the press coverage, which suggests that Kathy is 'Mrs Monroe.' She pours her heart out to Alfie, who is otherwise distracted by his phone. Jean then runs into Harvey, and attempts to sabotage his new venture until Alfie intervenes. He promises that he'll be there for her in the wake of her breakup, but it soon becomes clear that he's already got enough on his plate when Stacey calls him with another problem. The former TOWIE star, 32, and footballer tied the knot in a romantic ceremony held at Grantley Hall in North Yorkshire. Megan had already revealed the stunning dress she said 'I do' in and has now revealed the stunning gown she slipped into for the reception. Both dresses were designed by Peter Langner with the second taking inspiraiton from former US first lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, widely considered a fashion icon. Sharing a snap of herself descending the staircase at Grantley Hall, Megan wrote: 'My second dress was so special, Peter designed me a couture dress of dreams. Inspired by Jackie O. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'It was everything and more. Before our first dance & then the official Burke's after party I wanted to slip into something more sexy. 'I've added in some snaps from the evening… I hope you're enjoying my wedding content. There's a few more posts to go.' Megan shared a clip of her and Oliver taking to the dancefloor and the moment they cut into their incredibly luxurious seven-tier wedding cake. The former X Factor winner also posted a steamy photo of her and Oliver sharing a kiss as she showed off her garter. The dress she married in was a silk mikado ballgown featuring a voluminous pleated skirt, a sweeping train, and a structured corset bodice with exposed boning, embellished with hand-embroidered macramé lace roses. Completing the look was a long cathedral veil, softly draped and adorned with appliqués of three different French Chantilly laces, fading into a delicate degradé effect toward the center. In March, Megan teased details about the couple's nuptials, as she went for a fitting for multiple wedding dresses after spending three weeks apart from Oliver. Oli got down on one knee after enjoying a romantic boat trip in Montenegro back in June 2023, after a whirlwind five month romance. And Megan gushed it was 'so exciting' that the pair were getting closer to being husband and wife, as she explained she had to be remeasured for her wedding dresses after shedding several pounds. Captioning the post, she said: 'Hadn't seen Oli in 3 weeks, this is how our day went… don't worry guys Oli hasn't seen my wedding dresses. 'They are in Italy atm being made! Eeek. I had to pop in to get my measurements taken again as my baby weight is dropping off me!!!! Not long now ♥️'. In September, Megan left the UK and moved to Germany to be with her footballer fiancé Olly, making the decision to give birth over there. The Scotsman plays as a right winger or forward for the German football team, Bundesliga club Werder Bremen. In a previous Instagram video, Megan announced: 'Guess what! I'm moving to Germany. I know I did some stories yesterday about packing. 'And I think I few of you thought I was going into labour but no lets hope I don't go into labour because I am now giving birth in Germany. 'I know a few of you guys have been like 'Where's Olly?' Olly is in Germany and all our stuff has been in storage for a couple of months. 'A bit crazy that I'm moving countries. I'm actually excited, like it's obviously going to be a big change.' Megan revealed that they had to 'move hospitals very last minute' and it was 'crazy' and 'all a bit of a rush'. The original plan was for Olly to fly back in time for her due date. However Megan was worried that her partner would miss the birth of their baby.
