McLaren W1: Americas Debut
The McLaren W1 made its global debut in October 2024 and will be seen publicly for the first time in the Americas during Monterey Car Week. The W1 is the ground-breaking successor to two of the greatest supercars of all time – the McLaren F1 and McLaren P1TM – and opens a new chapter in McLaren's famous '1' car lineage. Featuring a V8 hybrid powertrain with 1,275PS – the highest power output of any McLaren ever and greater than all core competitors – the W1 is the fastest-accelerating and fastest-lapping road-legal McLaren ever, achieving the astonishing combination of being quicker than a Speedtail to 300km/h (186mph) in a straight-line and 3 seconds a lap ahead of a McLaren Senna on McLaren's reference track. 750S Le Mans: Celebrating 30 Years Since Victory
Also on display for the first time in the Americas is the McLaren 750S Le Mans, a special edition 750S coupe celebrating the 30th anniversary of McLaren's 24 Hours of Le Mans win in 1995. Paying homage to the iconic #59 F1 GTR, the 750S Le Mans is offered with a Le Mans Grey exterior paint – the option of McLaren Orange is also available – and features a roof scoop and 5-spoke LM wheels. More exciting is the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) High Downforce Kit (HDK), which adds visual drama to the 750S with a raised carbon fibre Active Rear Spoiler featuring integral endplates. The front bumper features an enlarged carbon fibre splitter, increasing downforce by 10 percent compared to the standard 750S, enhancing track performance and echoing the famous McLaren F1 LM edition's aerodynamic additions. Completing the HDK package is a new body-colored carbon fibre under-wing panel featuring gloss black louvres. More information can be found here.
States of Endurance : A Coast-to-Coast Tribute
The weekend will also serve as a launch pad for States of Endurance, a celebration of the 30th anniversary of McLaren's 1995 Le Mans victory that will see road cars – the McLaren Artura Spider and McLaren 750S – drive across the country from Monterey to Miami, roughly the distance covered in the 24hour race, with a variety of stops and engagements along the way. On display at Exotics on Broadway is one of the three road cars – an Artura Spider in a special wrap meant to emulate the daytime driving experience of a 24-hour race. Two 750S supercars will also join the journey, each in its own wrap, one inspired by the dawn, and the other by the night.

Formula One: Three things we learned from the Hungarian Grand Prix - Omni sports
Ferrari may have endured another afternoon to forget in Hungary on Sunday with polesitter Charles Leclerc finishing fourth and Lewis Hamilton a disappointing 12th, but their underlying performance showed they could be challengers for victories this season. Post-race analysis and reaction to Hamilton's emotional outbursts revealed a very different evaluation of a race dominated by runaway leaders McLaren. AFP Sport looks at three things we learned from Sunday's thriller at the Hungaroring: Ferrari turmoil masks upward momentum Two unhappy drivers and the speculation over Hamilton's form and future suggested Ferrari continued a downward spiral, but rivals and seasoned viewers said that simple conclusion is inaccurate. Leclerc grumbled the team wrecked the "one opportunity" to win this season, but he changed his view once he learned the cause of his car's mid-race loss of pace while leading. He had thought a front wing set-up change, during a pit-stop, was his undoing, but Ferrari said it was something else which cost him around two seconds a lap. Boss Fred Vasseur did not reveal the problem, but stressed that Leclerc's recent form, including pole in Hungary and a podium in Belgium, confirmed their upgraded car was competitive -- a view shared by rival team chief Andrea Stella of McLaren. He said he thought Ferrari will be a "contender for victories for the remainder of the season" while both Vasseur and Mercedes boss Toto Wolff said Hamilton would shine again, after the 40-year-old declared he was "useless" and should be replaced. "He's demanding," said Vasseur. "But I think it's also why he's seven-times world champion... I understand him and he will be back." Wolff, who guided Hamilton to six drivers' titles, said: "That is Lewis, wearing his heart on his sleeve. It's what he felt very much when asked straight after that session and it was very raw. "But he is still the GOAT (greatest of all time) and he still has it (the talent to win an eighth title)." Norris honesty reflects new age Once a bastion of gladiatorial sporting combat with a testosterone-fuelled culture, Formula One has in recent years developed a more compassionate culture. This was in evidence as Carlos Sainz defended his friend and former McLaren team-mate Lando Norris' honesty. "He opens up to the media and to people more than any other driver on the grid -- and people use that against him," said the Spaniard. "What you see on TV is what he is as a human being. He's very good at showing himself. I find it ironic and frustrating -- he's the only guy being 100 percent genuine... and then people go back at him." After three wins in four races, Norris' triumph on Sunday cut McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri's championship lead to nine points to quieten those critics who had accused him of being mentally weaker than the cool, more introverted Australian. "It's tough already and going to be tougher," said Norris. "It's pretty small margins between us... Even if the results look great, I'm not making life easy for myself so I need to work on a few things to be in a better place." Alonso offers inspiration for Hamilton If Hamilton needed inspiration on Sunday, it was found at Aston Martin where Fernando Alonso, a two-time champion who failed to land a title at Ferrari, shrugged off a back injury to land his best result of the year as he finished fifth. Once bitter team-mates at McLaren, the pair are now respectful colleagues and F1's elder statesmen. "Big points for the team before the summer break, it feels good," Alonso said after he showed he's still got it at 44. Alonso began his career in 2001, claimed his maiden win in Hungary two years later, and has taken part in 417 Grands Prix (Hamilton has started 370), but perhaps significantly took two years off in 2019 and 2020 to recover from exhaustion. Formula One: Norris wins in Hungary to trim Piastri lead as McLaren reel off another 1-2 - Omni sports
Lando Norris trimmed McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri's lead in the drivers' world championship to just nine points on Sunday when he switched tactics to lead him home by just 0.698 seconds in a thrilling finish at the Hungarian Grand Prix. The 25-year-old Briton, who moved from a two-stop strategy to one stop, held off series leader Piastri, on fresher tyres, over the closing laps of a strategic contest to claim McLaren's 200th victory and their record 13th win in Hungary. It was Norris's first win at the Hungaroring in the event's 40th race, avenging his 'team orders' defeat in 2024 when Piastri claimed his maiden success, his fifth victory of the season and the ninth of his career. The dominant McLaren pair finished 22 seconds clear of third-placed George Russell of Mercedes with pole sitter Charles Leclerc of Ferrari fourth, grumbling at the Italian team's poor planning after he slipped out of the leading position. "I wasn't planning to do a one-stop," said Norris. "But it was the only option to get back into things and it was tough. Oscar was pushing all the way." Piastri said he had done all he could to triumph. "It was great racing," he said. "Lando did a great job." His drive brought McLaren their fourth consecutive 1-2 finish. Two-time champion Fernando Alonso came home fifth for Aston Martin ahead of Sauber's Gabriel Bortoleto, Lance Stroll in the second Aston Martin, rookie Liam Lawson of Racing Bulls and frustrated four-time champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull. Mercedes' rookie Kimi Antonelli was 10th ahead of Racing Bulls' Isack Hadjar with seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton 12th in the second Ferrari, 24 hours after declaring himself undeserving of their race seat. Heavy overnight rain had 're-set' the track on a breezy afternoon in front of a big crowd at the Hungaroring. Classic scrap The track temperature was only 31 degrees, encouraging thoughts of a one-stop race as tyre-wear decreased and Leclerc controlled the pace ahead of Piastri, Russell and Norris. Piastri pitted on lap 18, seeking an undercut. He returned in fifth as Leclerc responded to stay ahead. Norris inherited the lead and had a 10-second advantage, as the Monegasque regained second, with Piastri third. He then chose to stay out until pitting, in just 1.9 seconds, for hards on lap 31, rejoining fourth and facing a long run home. At the front, Leclerc responded to an apparent 'bluff' call from McLaren and pitted, falling to fourth and gifting Piastri the lead ahead of a rapid Norris as the race dissolved into a strategy and tyre-management contest between the two McLarens. Norris revelled in his delayed one-stop tactic as Piastri made a second pit on lap 45, the Briton leading with a frustrated Ferrari second, Leclerc blaming his team for bungling his plan before being passed by Piastri around Turn One on lap 51. This left Norris, on ageing tyres, leading his team-mate in a classic scrap to the flag, negotiating traffic and separated by half a second over the final laps. On lap 68, the Australian went close to passing in Turn One and on lap 69, he locked up. "Remember how we go racing," Piastri's engineer Tom Stallard reminded him. For Leclerc, soon left a distant third by the two McLarens, it was another pole wasted – the 15th time he failed to convert pole into a win in 16 attempts – and it grew worse when Russell, after two attempts, passed him on lap 63.
