Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma Visit Ram Mandir And Hanuman Garhi In Ayodhya; Video Goes Viral
As Virat Kohli closes a glorious chapter of his cricketing journey, he and wife Anushka Sharma took a moment of spiritual pause, visiting the holy city of Ayodhya to offer prayers at the revered Ram Mandir and Hanuman Garhi temples. Their quiet, sacred outing comes days after Kohli formally bid farewell to Test cricket a format that shaped his legacy.
Virat, Anushka Ayodhya Visit
Photos and videos surfaced online showing the couple immersed in devotion at the iconic Hanuman Garhi, where Virat was seen bowing down in reverence, dressed in a simple cream-coloured kurta, adorned with a flower garland. Anushka, graceful in a pink salwar suit, stood beside him during the darshan, embodying the couple's grounded spiritual connection.
Their prayers were facilitated by senior priest Hemant Das, and they also met Sanjay Dutt, the successor of Mahant Gyan Das and president of the Sankat Mochan Sena. Despite the crowds, Virat and Anushka completed their rituals peacefully, offering a glimpse into their life beyond cricket and cinema one centered on faith and balance.

Anushka had recently accompanied Virat to Lucknow for the RCB vs SRH IPL match on May 23. The actress, who often cheers for her husband from the stands, has been a pillar of support through his cricketing highs and lows. Together, they have often sought moments of solace away from the limelight, including a recent visit to Vrindavan, where they received blessings from Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj along with their children, Vamika and Akaay.
Virat Kohli's Surprising Test Retirement
The spiritual detour comes just days after Virat Kohli stunned fans by announcing his retirement from Test cricket — a decision that, according to chief selector Ajit Agarkar, had been made as early as April. 'Virat reached out to us in early April and said he had made up his mind to retire from Test cricket,' Agarkar revealed during a press conference on May 24.
In an emotional social media post, Kohli reflected on the journey that began in Kingston, Jamaica, in 2011:
'It's been 14 years since I first wore the baggy blue in Test cricket... It's tested me, shaped me, and taught me lessons I'll carry for life.'
The 36-year-old, often considered the face of modern Indian cricket, retires with 9,230 runs in 113 Test matches making him India's fourth-highest run-scorer in the format. His contribution went far beyond numbers; Kohli redefined India's approach in whites, instilling aggression, discipline, and an unmatched work ethic.
Kohli's Emotional Note
Kohli's retirement note was a heartfelt tribute to the format he held dearest:
'As I step away from this format, it's not easy but it feels right. I've given it everything I had, and it's given me back so much more... I'll always look back at my Test career with a smile.'
The visit to Ayodhya appears to have been a way to mark this transition not with noise, but with silence and prayer..

Ananya Panday Calls Herself A ‘3/10 Actor' In Viral Video; Reddit Trolls Her Brutally
Last Updated: Ananya Panday called herself a 3/10 actor in a resurfaced video, sparking viral trolling and heated PR debates on Reddit and social media. A throwback video of Ananya Panday rating herself as an actor has resurfaced on Reddit and is going viral for all the wrong reasons. The clip, from a rapid-fire segment on Pinkvilla, features Ananya playfully struggling to rate her own acting skills. Initially hesitant, she says, 'I can't do this… Like a 3… How can I rate myself as an actor?" Her Call Me Bae co-stars Niharika Dutt and Muskkaan Jaferi try to lift her spirits, nudging her to rate herself higher. Eventually, Ananya settles on a 7 out of 10. While her response seemed candid and humorous, the internet didn't take it lightly. Redditors quickly latched onto the video, calling out what they described as another PR move. One user wrote, 'The thing is, it's actually working. People do sympathise with her. All the Insta girlies unite to defend her in any reel criticising her. Unfortunately." Another added, 'Nepotism or no nepotism—if you are focused on winning PR games instead of working on your craft, people won't watch you." A third user sarcastically chimed in, 'Even my 2-month-old can see through these PR tricks. At least be clever about it." The viral backlash has reignited debates around nepotism and image-building in Bollywood, with many questioning whether such self-deprecating moments are genuine or calculated. On the work front, Ananya Panday is gearing up for her next big release, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, co-starring Kartik Aaryan. The romantic comedy is already making waves, especially after the makers revealed the release date—February 13, 2026—along with a romantic poster showing the duo kissing behind an Indian passport. The film, directed by Satyaprem Ki Katha's Sameer Vidwans, is being jointly produced by Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures. It also marks Kartik Aaryan's return to Karan Johar's production house following their much-publicised fallout during Dostana 2. Fans are excited to see Kartik and Ananya reunite after their successful pairing in Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019), making this one of the most awaited rom-coms on the horizon. Scott Boland in dark about his spot in Australia's playing XI for WTC final
London [UK], June 6 (ANI): Australia's seasoned quick Scott Boland is still in the dark about his potential appearance in the World Test Championship final against South Africa on Tuesday at the Lord's, a venue where he would 'love' to play. With match figures of 5/105, the 36-year-old was one of Australia's premier pacers when they lifted their maiden WTC mace at The Oval in 2023 against India. He boosted his credentials against India by scalping 21 wickets in three appearances as Australia celebrated its first Border-Gavaskar Trophy triumph in a decade. Despite his exploits, Boland has found himself in a neck-to-neck battle with IPL-winning seamer Josh Hazlewood for one spot in the defending champions' pace setup against the Proteas. With less than a week left for the enticing contest, Boland has yet to receive the green light from the selectors about his spot in the playing XI. 'I haven't had any chats with them (selectors). My goal coming into the last two months is just to get myself and my body in the position where I can put my hand up and be ready to go if it (selection) goes my way,' Boland said in London on Thursday, as quoted from ICC. 'I probably felt like back into the Shield season (Australian domestic red-ball competition), my knee was sort of not wearing away but wasn't going how I wanted it to go and didn't feel like I was bowling how I wanted, but now I feel like I'm in a really good spot that I can bowl how I want to bowl. It's pulling up really well, so that's all I can do, and I just want to make that decision (for selectors) as hard as possible,' he added. Boland snuck his first training session with Australia on Wednesday while Hazlewood linked up with the team in London after his title-winning campaign with Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Thursday. The 36-year-old is aware of the carnage that a fully fit Hazlewood can inflict on the opposition. However, he pushed his case by citing his recent stellar performances for Australia in the Test format. 'I feel like I had a couple of really strong games (during the Border-Gavaskar series), but Josh is obviously a world-class bowler. He's one of the best bowlers in the world, coming off a really good IPL, so I'm sure he'll be doing the same thing here (to push his case for selection). Obviously, we all want to play, but there's probably not room for all of us,' Boland said. If Boland earns a spot in Australia's playing XI, he will make his first appearance at the iconic Lord's. For him, it will be a 'pretty special' moment to bowl at the 'Home of Cricket'. 'I'd love to play at Lord's. I think everyone's looking forward to getting there for training in a few days' time and then getting to the game, as it's a pretty special place for cricket,' he added. (ANI)
