Ranchi : Central Board of Secondary Schools across city have stepped effort for awareness and enforce stricter measures on
road safety
among students. Responding to CBSE's new directive, educational institutions are stepping up their commitment to instill safe commuting habits and responsible road behavior from a young age.
This campaign is the specially composed Road Safety Anthem Parwah Karenge, Surakshit Rahenge" which is to be be played during morning assemblies in CBSE-affiliated schools. Principal of Firayalal Public School, Niraj Kumar Sinha, said, " The anthem is intended to serve as a daily reminder for students to prioritize safety while commuting. "
In addition to this, schools plans to start screening short films and documentaries on traffic rules, pedestrian safety, and accident prevention.
As per the experts, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) initiated this campaign after reviewing national accident data, which showed over 1.8 lakh road fatalities last year, with more than 10,000 victims under the age of 18. Over 11,000 deaths were reported near schools and educational institutions.
Rajesh Pillai, Principal of Kerala School, Dhurwa, said, "While schools have always run occasional awareness drives, the structured approach from the board has added greater momentum.
It's crucial to make students not just academically prepared but also road-aware." To further extend the outreach, schools have been instructed to share road safety films and advisories through WhatsApp groups and digital platforms, ensuring that parents too become active participants in reinforcing safe practices.
Messages such as "Don't Rush", "Come Slowly", and "School of Road Safety" are being widely circulated.
Beyond awareness, strict regulations are being enforced. Many schools have banned students from bringing two-wheelers without a valid driving licence.

Candidates who appeared for the MAH CET can now check their round 2 seat allotment status on the official website at The allotment results include both candidate-wise and institute-wise details. Students who have been allotted seats in the MAH LLB 5-year CAP 2025 round 2 must report to their respective colleges by August 19 to confirm their admission. Those willing to participate in the third round are required to pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs 1,000. Reporting within the given timeline is essential for seat confirmation and further participation in the admission process. Important government guidelines and candidate eligibility for round 2 Several government notifications govern the CAP 5-year LLB admission process, including Government Extraordinary Gazettes dated May 2017, June 2019, August 2020, and June 2023. Colleges are instructed not to verify CET examination details but only the details filled in the CAP application form. (Representative Image) NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) carried out a coordinated series of surprise inspections in 10 schools across 5 states and 1 Union Territory (UT) on August 13, 2025. The inspections were conducted to evaluate adherence to the Board's operational norms and ensure compliance with CBSE Bye-Laws. Each inspection team comprised one officer from the CBSE and a principal from a CBSE-affiliated school. All inspections were synchronised and executed simultaneously across the selected locations in a short time window, maintaining the surprise element of the exercise. Inspections held across six regions The selected schools were located in Assam, Delhi, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Odisha. Two schools were inspected in Assam: International School, Guwahati, and Spring Dale International School, Guwahati. In Delhi, the inspected institution was Rajindra Public School, Nihal Vihar, Nangloi. Karnataka's inspection was carried out at Shri Ram Global School, Whitefield. Madhya Pradesh had two schools on the inspection list: Sanskar Public School, Naugaon, and Kiddy's Corner Hr Sec School, Gwalior. In Maharashtra, inspections were conducted at Aditya English Medium School, Baner, Pune; Delhi World Public School, Nerul (West); and Crimson Anisha Global School, Undri, Pune. The final school inspected was Jupiter Public School, Gangapada, Khurda in Odisha. Objectives of the inspection The primary objective of the inspections was to determine whether the schools were operating in accordance with the CBSE Bye-Laws. The inspections aimed to detect any discrepancies related to the enrolment of non-attending students, and to assess the standard of academic and physical infrastructure. CBSE also intended to ensure that the day-to-day functioning of these schools adhered to the norms and expectations laid down by the Board. The inspections were conducted in a manner that allowed for real-time and accurate assessments by preventing advance notice to the schools. Inspection process and structure Each inspection team, consisting of a CBSE official and a principal from a CBSE-affiliated school, followed a structured process. The inspections were conducted simultaneously to minimise any chance of information leaks between institutions. This coordination aimed to protect the integrity of the inspections and collect unaltered data on school operations. Further actions to follow CBSE has stated that necessary action will be taken after evaluating the reports submitted by the Inspection Committee. The Board has reiterated its commitment to maintaining educational standards and taking strict measures in case of any violations of its regulations.
