It was the summer love story no one expected after Katy Per ry was spotted on an unlikely date with Justin Trudeau this week.
The world of the California Gurl and politics collided when the former Canadian Prime Minister was spotted at the singer's concert in Montreal with his daughter Ella-Grace, 16.
The pair have set social media ablaze as Justin, 53, looked absolutely captivated (and even smitten) as he watched Katy belt out her hits on stage, not long after her split from Orlando Bloom.
But Katy and Justin aren't the only unlikely celebrity couple to have formed this year with Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus finding unlikely love after his divorce.
Elsewhere, JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes shocked fans after they fell for each other on Celebrity Big Brother back in March.
As the surprising couples that weren't on anyone's 2025 bingo cards continue to pop up, Daily Mail takes a look at the most unlikely celebrity couples of past and present.
Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater
Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater's romance was embroiled in controversy from the off after it began amid the break down of both of their marriages.
The couple's romance was revealed in July 2023 just a few days after the singer announced her split from husband Dalton Gomez after two years of marriage -although they were said to have split in January of that year.
Meanwhile Ethan had been married to his childhood sweetheart Lilly Jay, 32, for five years and welcomed their baby boy to the world in August 2022, before they sadly divorced in September last year.
An insider said that the pair were so open with their romance during filming that the majority of the Wicked cast were aware that they were in a relationship.
'They were sloppy on set,' the insider shared. 'They were seen being all over each other.
'They were seen making out at a pub in Hampstead, and they were all over each other at Michelle Yeoh's Oscar party [in March].'
Lilly broke her silence on Ethan's new romance with Ariana in an emotional essay in The Cut in December, where she got candid about the 'public downfall of her marriage.'
She recalled moving both herself and her then two-month-old baby boy to London while Ethan filmed Wicked - before he left her for Ariana after they met on set.
Lilly further reflected on how she never expected to get a divorce after tying the knot with her high school sweetheart - but emphasized both she and her ex focus to positively co-parent their son.
She expressed there are 'days when I can't escape the promotion of a movie associated with the saddest days of my life are darker' as she while trying to 'accept the sudden public downfall of my marriage.'
Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus
Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus shocked the world when they went public with their romance back in April.
The pair's relationship began following the Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker's divorce from Firerose - his third marriage.
Billy had met Elizabeth on set of the 2022 movie Christmas In Paradise and as he was navigating through the split, he received a message from Liz.

However after their split at the show's afterparty JoJo and Chris' relationship has blossomed into a love like no other with Chris even admitting he is 'obsessed' with the singer.
Speaking about the relationship for the first time in an interview with The Sun's Fabulous Magazine, Chris described: 'Then meeting Joelle gave me this magical feeling. She is the most precious person....I'm obsessed with her. I'd do anything for her.'
