Ben Affleck's relative and Mormon Wives star Jennifer joins Dancing With The Stars cast

Daily Mail01-07-2025
Two stars from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will now be applying the dancing skills they've learned from TikTok to a much bigger stage.
Jennifer Affleck and Whitney Leavitt learned they will be joining the cast of Dancing With The Stars during the season two reunion of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Host Nick Viall unveiled them both as the newest stars joining the cast, with a pregnant Jennifer jubilantly exclaiming as she embraced Whitney, 'We're moving to LA!'
Season 34 of Dancing With The Stars will reportedly premiere in the fall of this year and so far also has cast Robert Irwin, the son of the late Steve Irwin, and influencer Alix Earle.
The big announcement was not the only water cooler moment to occur during the reunion, with Jennifer addressing her alleged family member, Ben Affleck.
Jennifer previously claimed her husband Zac Affleck is cousins with Ben Affleck and his brother Casey, and while she had never met the famous actor, she said her father-in-law has.
'He's my husband's cousin, but we've never met him,' Jen previously told People.
According to the outlet, her husband is Ben's first cousin once removed. Her father-in-law is first cousins with Ben and Casey.
'Zac's dad has [met them], when [Ben] was very little,' she continued. 'I'm hoping to meet him one day, too!'
She clarified the celebrities were more 'like distant relatives.'
A source has since disputed her claims to People, insisting there's 'no relationship', and the issue was brought up during the season two reunion - with Jennifer admitting they have yet to verify whether or not they are indeed related.
'I'm still wondering that,' Jennifer said when Nick asked her about the topic.
'I thought at first it was a joke and I was like, are they serious? Like, someone had mentioned they literally met him at a family reunion, so I was like, stoked about it.
'And then I asked his grandpa and his grandpa was like, "Let me sit you down and tell you, yes, we are related to this person and so-" You know how like with Mormons, there's huge odd family history, so I was like, oh, maybe we are related. Like, that isn't just a joke.
'But of course, I mentioned it. Press ran with it. I ran with it maybe a little bit too much. And it was never verified because we never actually met him.
'But like Ben Affleck, where are you? We're family.'
Jen, meanwhile, and her husband are also expecting the arrival of their third child.
The reality star announced her pregnancy in a People interview back in February: 'I was a few days late, and while it was a surprise, we both had a feeling there was another baby waiting for us,' she said.
'We were very excited, there were a lot of emotions after a very crazy year!'
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives follows Jen, Whitney and members of their 'MomTok' influencers group.

Pamela Anderson breaks silence on Meghan Markle's ‘rip off' Netflix cooking show

Pamela Anderson has finally spoken out on viral claims Meghan Markle 'ripped off' her cooking show with Netflix series, With Love, Meghan. Fans of the Baywatch bombshell, 58, were left incensed when the former working Royal, 44, debuted her latest TV venture - which bore eerie similarities to Pamela's Cooking With Love, which premiered earlier this year on Prime Video. The Naked Gun star Anderson opened up on Sunday's Watch What Happens Live! - with host Andy Cohen asking her: 'On a scale from one to 10, how much of a rip-off did you feel like With Love, Meghan was of your show, Pamela's Cooking with Love?' Anderson, who was appearing alongside new love and co-star Liam Neeson responded: 'One. I didn't - I didn't really look, but I mean, I didn't invent cooking shows' adding that Markle 'is just doing her thing.' The drama erupted when Prince Harry 's wife gave People magazine some of her top domestic tips ahead of the release of With Love, Meghan, in March. These included how to 'elevate' a normal dinner – such as after ordering a takeaway, for example. Citing Chinese as a favorite delivery option, Markle told the US magazine: 'I like being able to do a hybrid, but even when I get a takeout I will try to plate it beautifully.' And discussing her new trademark As Ever – after she failed to secure copyright branding for her original name, American Riviera Orchard – she insisted: 'It's a learning curve. 'I appreciate everyone who gave me the grace to make mistakes and figure it out and also be forgiving with myself through that.' shows The two former TV stars live more than a thousand miles apart, yet both were smiling and giggling in brightly lit country kitchens, filming aspirational cooking with photogenic friends and famous celebrities. Both are seen carrying wicker baskets of fruit and vegetables picked from their gardens, dancing with joy, and gleefully high-fiving their celebrity guests. Both series are even the same length: eight episodes. When Meghan's first episode was shown, it prompted withering complaints that she had copied Pamela's winning formula. 'So similar it's freaky,' said one reviewer, while others branded Meghan's series 'inauthentic' and 'copycat'. More charitable observers might put this down to coincidence, as neither show seems to deviate from the wholesome template of many an aspirational cookery program. However, while Markle filmed her series last summer, with the first trailer making its debut in January, Anderson's was commissioned back in February 2023 by Canadian broadcaster Flavour Network. And its trailer has been available for all to see since last October. Last month it was claimed Markle and Prince Harry's hopes of a new Netflix deal are 'dead' after their two most recent shows flopped, Meghan's lifestyle show failed to break into Netflix 's top 300 programs for the first half of 2025 and was even thrashed by multiple seasons of Suits. A second season of With Love, Meghan, was announced by the Duchess herself as the first season came out in March this year as part of the couple's $100million deal with the streaming giant, which expires this year

Kylie Jenner splashes $500k on fancy olive trees during construction of her Calabasas dream mega-mansion

KYLIE Jenner has splashed out $500k on fancy olive trees during the construction of her Calabasas dream mega-mansion. Nestled in Los Angeles' exclusive Hidden Hills neighborhood, it has been under construction for five years, and is now nearly finished. 8 8 8 Kylie, 27, who currently lives in a $36 million mansion in the same area, originally purchased the exclusive land once owned by Miley Cyrus for $15 million in 2020. New pictures of the beauty mogul's fortress show the multi-acre piece of land is coming along. But before Kylie is ready to move in, she has planted a line of overgrown olive trees worth half million dollars around the house for extra privacy. In new ariel photographs, the Hidden Hills mansion is encircled by the gorgeous olive trees - you can even see what might be her vineyards in the background. On top of the $15 million spent on the land, Kylie, 27, has poured millions of dollars more into the estate's construction. The finished property will feature an underground 12-car garage and a bunker, perhaps to protect Kylie and her kids Stormi, seven, and Aire, three, in case of emergency. According to reports, the mansion will also feature 15 bedrooms, a sports court and a big swimming pool. And the extravagant driveway looks like something out of a spy movie that would lead to the underground parking garage to house all of Kylie's vehicles. When completed, the home will reportedly be at least twice the size of sister Kim Kardashian's $60 million mansion in the same neighborhood. Kylie's real estate portfolio also includes a $13.5 million mansion in Beverly Hills, which she shares with ex Travis Scott. She also dropped $3.25 million on a Palm Springs plot, where she plans to build a vacation home. Kylie also lives part-time in boyfriend Timothee Chalamet's hometown New York City, though it is unclear if she owns her own apartment in the area. When construction began on Kylie's new home, L.A. realtor Tony Mariotti, CEO of RubyHome Luxury Real Estate, told The U.S. Sun that building her home is as intricate as building a hotel. "They are bigger. I know that's obvious, but bigger homes just take longer," Tony said. "For example, that foundation, with the subterranean garage is some serious business. Not only is it huge, but it is way more complex than a typical foundation." He added: "If you run out of something or have difficulty with the materials, that'll cause a delay. "They've got multiple sub-contractors coming and going, doing all sorts of work, all of which is going to be custom and detailed. "Laying the stone or carpet in that house could take weeks instead of days. "The city inspections that happen along the way will take longer. "If the builders violate or overlook any building codes, it'll take days or weeks to straighten things out. "This is a project on the scale of a large restaurant or small hotel." Kylie's new home isn't the first time the media personality has had a home in Hidden Hills. In 2016, Kylie purchased a $12 million home in Hidden Hills and according to the Daily Mail, she still has the home. 8 8 8 8
