All Difficulty Levels in Death Stranding 2

With Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding 2: On The Beach we see this tradition continuing with a cinematic story experience that integrates gameplay in a way that tears down the wall between heart pounding action and emotional exploration.
Players are given the agency to decide how they want to embark on their adventure not only in terms of story choices, but in how difficult they'd like their experience to be. Featuring four unique difficulty settings, Death Stranding 2 encourages a more personalized experience.
Here's a guide to each of the game's difficulty settings, not just how they change the mechanics of the game, but what sort of experience they'll provide you with, narratively and emotionally.
What is Story Mode
For gamers who just wish to discover, Story Mode is the least punishing. It avoids jeopardizing main character Sam Porter Bridges, letting you lose yourself in Kojima's dream without being forced out of the experience by an overzealous game. Combat is dumbed down, cargo is hardly ever damaged and death is almost never an option. This is what the mode is there for, to make sure that whatever message and emotional journey you're trying to convey is never buried under a layer of gameplay aggravation.

It hasn't aged well, it's still the closest the game gets to a playable movie.
Why Death Stranding 2 is the The Most Important Game You'll Play This Year
What is Casual Mode
Casual difficulty is perfect for players who want to engage with the world and the mechanics a bit more than Story Mode permits.
What is Normal Mode
It's in Normal Mode that Death Stranding 2 really seems to hit its target stride. The struggles are legitimate from traversing the rugged landscape while succumbing to the wrath of Timefall, to dealing with decaying cargo, to facing combat situations—Death Stranding has you covered.
It's easily recommended to returning players or fans of action-adventure games in general.
It's here that Kojima's twin ambitions meet and combine. It's not just about getting to the next cutscene, it's about earning it.
What is Brutal Mode
For those who desire a taste of real challenge, Brutal Mode is here. Foes are more relentless, Sam's health is glass, cargo decomposition ramps up quickly and Timefall is considerably less merciful.
Each delivery becomes a do-or-die operation. This format challenges each aspect of a gamer's ability—from knowing the lay of the land, to battling foes, to strategizing under pressure.
The challenge goes beyond mechanical—it's changing the emotive character of the fill journey. Now struggles weigh less, losses hurt less, and wins seem more epic and heroic. Brutal Mode isn't just for hard core gamer gaijin—it's for everyone that wants to feel like true heroes of the post-apocalyptic wasteland.
A Flexible Journey
While this aspect might frustrate hardcore players, one of Death Stranding 2's most welcome features is that difficulty can be altered at any time. Whether directly from the title screen or halfway through the game through the Ring Terminal, gamers can customize their experience in whatever way suits them best. Bogged down in a quest? Take it easy on the decibels Looking for added suspense to a calm chapter? So you need to turn it up.
This fluid process keeps the game challenging and fulfilling, while still being widely approachable. This is a balancing act that allows the primordial vision to shine, untainted by temptation.

How to Change Difficulty Settings
The good news, especially for localities with limited resources, is that you're not stuck with whatever choice you make. What's cool about the difficulty option is that you can modify the difficulty on the fly throughout the game. Here's what that looks like compared to their typical programming and how you can get involved!
Access the Options menu from the title screen, or the Ring Terminal while playing.
On the Steam deck, open the Options menu, then navigate to the System tab.
Select Game Options and make your experience as challenging — or easy!
The ideal difficulty is the one that best aligns with your desired play experience. If you're reading for the narrative, begin with Story or Casual Mode. If you would like the most complete gameplay, play Normal.

6 random world events Rockstar should add to GTA 6

(Image via Rockstar Games) If there's one thing Rockstar nails, it's making the world feel alive. But with GTA 6's massive Leonida map, we need more unscripted chaos . Imagine turning a corner and stumbling into something totally unexpected, but not a mission, not a cutscene, just wild randomness. That's how you keep things fresh for hours . Here are 6 random world events we need in GTA 6. 1. Tourist Gone Wild You're chilling near Ocean Beach, and suddenly, you see a tourist arguing with a scammy street vendor. Things escalate. There's yelling, a phone gets thrown, maybe even a fistfight or a dramatic chase into traffic. The best part? You can join in, stop it, film it, or walk away like it's just another Tuesday. Influencers In GTA 6 - IT'LL BE CARNAGE 2. Influencer Livestream Meltdown In Little Cuba or Vice Beach, you spot a vlogger mid-livestream. They're hyping up their '#ViceCityVibes' when a fan shows up… or a hater. Either way, chaos erupts. They start recording, escalate it into a viral mess, or de-escalate it for a reward. 3. Undercover Drug Bust You're walking past a chill café in Ambrosia and suddenly, DEA agents tackle someone in broad daylight. People scatter. Someone drops a bag of cash. You can snag it, chase the runner, or accidentally get mistaken as part of the crew. It adds paranoia and unpredictability to the streets, like anything could pop off anywhere . by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Switch to UnionBank Rewards Card UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo 4. Backwoods Cult Ceremony Head up to Mount Kalaga and things get weirder. Late at night, you hear chanting. Hidden in the trees? A full-blown cult ritual. Fire, masks, maybe even a sacrifice (goats? chickens?). Get too close and they notice. Stay hidden and film it. Rockstar could use this to drop wild Easter eggs or creepy lore bits. 5. Truck Spill Turned Loot Fest Imagine this: A semi crashes on the highway near Port Gellhorn. Out spills electronics, sneakers, or… literal money. Civilians rush in. Some cops try to stop it, others grab stuff too. You get to decide whether to loot and run, help with the cleanup, or cause more chaos. It's GTA meets Black Friday brawl . The ALLIGATORS of GTA 6 6. Alligator on the Loose You're speeding through Grassrivers, and bam, traffic's stopped. Why? A gator's crossing the street. Cops show up. Tourists scream. A guy tries to wrestle it for clout. You could help, run over the gator (you monster), or bait it into someone's backyard. Florida vibes? Nailed. Rockstar nailed these kinds of details in Red Dead Redemption 2 . If GTA 6 can level that up with even crazier, more dynamic events? We're talking about a game world that truly feels alive and unhinged in the best way possible. Bizarre social media stunt: British man arrested over Disneyland ‘wedding' with 9-year-old Ukrainian girl; guests were hired

Representative image (X@franceinfo) French prosecutors on Tuesday charged a British man with crimes including money laundering and identity theft, following his alleged involvement in a disturbing event at Disneyland Paris, where he reportedly staged a fake wedding ceremony, acting as the groom to a nine-year-old Ukrainian girl. Prosecutors stated that the 39-year-old man, whose name has not been disclosed, is a convicted sex offender and is currently wanted by authorities in the UK. He allegedly staged it for some sick social media stunt. According to Meaux prosecutor Jean-Baptiste Bladier, the British citizen is currently wanted in the UK for failing to meet the requirements of the country's sex offenders register. He was taken into custody early Saturday morning after police were called to the theme park by a 'guest' who said that the man had hired him to portray the bride's father in the staged ceremony, reported BBC. The man said he had been paid €12,000 to play the role and that he only realised at the last minute that the "bride" was a child, according to a statement by Meaux prosecutor Jean-Baptiste Bladier. The New York Post reported that the venue had been privately booked for the event, at an estimated cost of $150,000, but Disneyland Paris staff intervened and halted the ceremony after realizing the 'bride' was a 9-year old girl. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 90s Icon: A Look at Her Today I Am Famous Undo Authorities said the British man was arrested along with three others: a 24-year-old Latvian woman pretending to be the bride's sister, the 9-year-old girl's 41-year-old mother, and a 55-year-old Latvian man who had been brought in to take part in the ceremony. 'We all thought we were going to attend a wedding … Everyone was stunned, no one expected it,' one of the hired extras told. The guests who were hired were reportedly told they were being paid to participate in an upscale wedding rehearsal. The 'scared and confused' little girl was spotted wearing a wedding dress and 5-inch heels 'taped to her feet' when she showed up to the park, Le Parisien reported. The statement put out by authorities also noted that the Ukrainian girl, who had arrived in France two days prior, had not been subjected to physical or sexual abuse and was not "forced to act" as the bride. 'The investigations, including the medical examination of the minor, a Ukrainian national, showed that she had not been subjected to any violence or coercive acts,' the prosecutor's office said. Approximately 100 French extras were brought in to participate in the staged ceremony, which was planned to be filmed privately. The British man reportedly rented Disneyland Paris for several hours to play the groom. Preliminary findings said he had allegedly been "made-up professionally so that his face appeared totally different from his own," according to the prosecutor, reported BBC.
