Cricket fans at The Oval witnessed a lighthearted moment on Day 3 of the fifth and final Test between India and England when
Ravindra Jadeja
politely asked a spectator to change his t-shirt mid-match.
The moment unfolded while Jadeja was batting, only to be distracted by a fan seated behind the bowler's arm wearing a bright red t-shirt.
The colour seemed to interfere with Jadeja's sightline, a common issue for players when trying to focus on the ball coming out of the bowler's hand.

Rather than create a scene, Jadeja simply informed the on-field umpire about the problem.
After security personnel and match officials approached the individual, he eventually agreed to change his t-shirt.
Instead of moving, the spectator gamely switched into a grey t-shirt right then and there, drawing cheers from the crowd.

Jadeja gave him a thumbs-up and a grin, diffusing the situation with trademark charm.
The incident, caught on camera, quickly went viral, with social media hailing it as yet another reason to love Jadeja's on-field personality.

Each piece is handcrafted with eco-friendly block prints and naturally dyed handlooms by skilled artisan communities.' Celebrating handloom, sustainability, and circular craft practices will be 23°N 69°E, which is presenting a collection of hand block printed and hand painted garments made using organic cotton. 'We would also showcase textile waste artworks created using leftover fabric scraps from our studio in Delhi,' says Anas Sheikh, a practicing textile artist and founder of this clothing brand, adding, 'This exhibition is a reminder of why crafts matter and how traditions, when nurtured with care and intention, can shape a more thoughtful and regenerative future.' Alongside some intriguing installations, textiles are displayed at this showcase. There will also be on display some intriguing installations namely Soundscape by Sonam Khetan, Cotton 2.0 by Kora Design Collaborative, 'What if every thread remembered?' by Lafaani, and 11.11. These projects serve as a reflection of the exhibition's ethos, where textiles are not just products but living narratives of culture, ecology, and collective imagination. The rich legacy of Indian textiles is on display at this exhibition. Sachin Tendulkar's Honest Take On Shubman Gill's Captaincy: "There Were Things..."
As the Indian cricketing folklore sings praises for Shubman Gill 's performance and leadership on the tour of England, there are some who dug their observations deeper in order to analyse the potential Gill holds and the weaknesses he has, both as a batter and a leader. Gill scored 754 runs on the tour of England, breaking several all-time records and valiantly helped India draw the series 2-2. As far as his leadership credentials are concerned, the great Sachin Tendulkar had some interesting insights to share. "All in all, a fantastic result. 2-2, things could've been different, but there are no ifs and buts in cricket," said Tendulkar. "Captaincy has a lot to do with how the bowlers are bowling, how disciplined they are, and how long they can persist with their plans," Tendulkar further added. "Sometimes what happens is that if things are not going the bowlers' way, they start experimenting. That is when the captain feels that the fielders he has on the ground are not enough, he needs more, because runs will be coming from everywhere. "He still looked calm and composed, but when partnerships happen, it becomes difficult for any captain, and the priority becomes to dry their runs." Though Sachin feels there were areas in Gill's decision making as a captain that could've been different, overall, the control the India skipper had on the game and his team impressed him. "Overall I felt he controlled the team well. There were areas, things could've been different but, everyone has their opinion. This was his first series and possibly against the most attacking side in Test cricket. I don't think any other team bats the way this England side does," he said. "Shubman batted brilliantly throughout the series, he looked calm and composed, organised," said Tendulkar. "When it comes to quality batting, you've got to have a clear head and a game plan. And he was extemely consistent as far as his thought process is concerned because it reflects on your footwork. If you are not clear in your head, your body doesn't respond accordingly. His body responded brilliantly, he looked so much control he had so much time to play the ball. "There was precision in his footwork. The most important thing that I noticed was the respect to a good ball. Where the tendency sometimes is to push the ball on your front foot even if the ball is not near your foot, he was able to defend there. And consistently defend well on front foot. His ability to leave was very good. Overall, shot selection was very, very good and precise."

Australia Star Sam Konstas, Who Once Had A Spat With Virat Kohli, Named In Squad Against India A
Australia openers Sam Konstas and Nathan McSweeney were on Thursday named in the 'A' squad bound to India to play two four-day matches in Lucknow in September, with an eye on the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2026-27. Konstas had replaced McSweeney during the last India-Australia series Down Under but has failed to nail his spot at the top of the order, having endured a disappointing outing in Caribbean even as his side thoroughly dominated the West Indies. The 19-year-old Konstas is the only current Test player to be named in the 'A' side while the other capped players include McSweeney, Cooper Connolly and spinner Todd Murphy. Murphy, who has so far featured in seven Tests, played each of the four matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy during their India tour in 2022-23, which Australia lost 1-2, claiming 14 wickets. Australia's chairman of selectors George Bailey was quoted as saying by 'The subcontinent provides many unique challenges and the opportunity to utilise different skills with bat and ball.' "We hope repeated experiences in these conditions will assist players in developing an effective method and understanding of their game for future subcontinent tours." "For many of these players we remain interested in the development of their short-form cricket as well, but balancing out priorities meant we wanted them back and available for the start of the Sheffield Shield season,' he added. A notable miss in the red-ball squad are Jason Sangha, who scored 202 not out against Sri Lanka A in Darwin last month, and Matthew Renshaw, who too has the experience of playing Tests in India. Sangha, however, has been named in the one-day squad for the three matches to be played in Kanpur. The two four-day matches will be played in Lucknow from September 16-19 and September 23-26, while the three one-day games will be on September 30, October 3 and 5 respectively.
