‘1923' Season 2 Becomes Paramount+'s Biggest Original Premiere Episode Ever With 5.4 Million Viewers
The milestone is more than double the 2.2 million viewers who tuned into the 'Yellowstone' prequel's Season 1 premiere. It also surpasses the previous recordholder, 'Landman,' which brought in 5.2 million viewers in its premiere.
Views on social for '1923' Season 2 increased 187% from the previous season to 1.6 million.
The drama series, which comes from Taylor Sheridan, stars Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren alongside an ensemble that includes Brandon Sklenar, Julia Schlaepfer, Jerome Flynn, Darren Mann, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, Michelle Randolph, Sebastian Roché, Timothy Dalton and Jennifer Carpenter.
In Season 2, a cruel winter brings new challenges and unfinished business to Jacob (Ford) and Cara (Mirren) back at Dutton ranch. With harsh conditions and adversaries threatening to end the Dutton legacy, Spencer (Sklenar) embarks on an arduous journey home, racing against time to save his family in Montana. Meanwhile, Alexandra (Schlaepfer) sets off on her own harrowing trans-Atlantic journey to find Spencer and reclaim their love.
In addition to Sheridan, '1923' is executive produced by David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Ben Richardson, Michael Friedman and Keith Cox. MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions serve as producers.

Star Trek's 60th anniversary to be celebrated with waves of toys
For its 60th anniversary, the Star Trek franchise is going where it's never gone before – in terms of action figures. The groundbreaking original TV series debuted on NBC back on Sept. 8, 1966, spawning a fleet of subsequent movie and TV enterprises, including "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds," currently in its third season on Paramount+, and the in-production "Star Trek: Starfleet Academy," set to arrive on Paramount+ in 2026. With the space franchise's upcoming 60th anniversary looming, fans will likely engage in a massive celebration. Collectors already have plenty to get excited about. The first wave of figures, expected to be due later this year, includes characters never made available as action figures before, among them Capt. Jellico ("Star Trek: Prodigy"), Peter Preston from "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan," and Valkris, a female Klingon from "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock". The Nacelle Company, perhaps best known for TV specials such as "Kevin Hart's Guide to Black History" and "Down to Earth with Zac Efron" (both on Netflix), acquired the rights to market Star Trek playsets and accessories in 2024. The company has already announced that a host of action figures is in the works. And that makes me very proud," said Eugene "Rod" Roddenberry, son of the late Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry and CEO of Roddenberry Entertainment, in a statement to USA TODAY. "The Original Series holds a special place in the history of Star Trek, in the history of science fiction, and in the history of television," Roddenberry said. "I am thrilled to see it being honored in conjunction with Star Trek's 60th." Roddenberry wasn't ready to share other aspects of the 60th anniversary just yet. "But rest assured it's Roddenberry's intention to provide Trek fans the opportunity to be part of the celebration and engage in the Trek community," added Roddenberry, who suggested Trekkies follow the brand on Facebook, Instagram, Threads and YouTube. 'Lifelong' Trekkie commands Star Trek toy-making mission Nacelle CEO and founder Brian Volk-Weiss comes by his interest in Star Trek toys honestly, as the owner of a collection of more than 5,000 toys. He chose the company's name based on a word for the housing of a starship's warp engines. "I'm a lifelong Star Trek toy collector and a lifelong fan," Volk-Weiss told USA TODAY. When meeting with Paramount to secure the licensing, Volk-Weiss said he told the studio he planned to cater to Trekkies who want action figures beyond the obvious characters, such as Kirk and Picard. "Where's Captain Garrett? Where's Captain Jellico? Where is Peter Preston?" he said. "That was my pitch. …. What I basically said was, 'I believe the base of the Star Trek community is strong enough to give them what they want – and Valkris is the greatest example – even if it's a character that was on screen for 81 seconds, 35 years ago.'" The company's plan for releasing action figures is to alternate waves of figures who commanded a starship bridge with waves of assorted characters. When Nacelle announced it would be releasing Star Trek toys, it included an email address in the news release encouraging fans to chime in on figures they would like to see. Decisions on which ones to produce were "absolutely 100% influenced by that," Volk-Weiss said. Nacelle has announced a total of four waves of action figures to "assure the community this is not going to be a two-wave line," Volk-Weiss said, adding that "we have to make everybody feel confident we're going to go the distance." The toys, which are made in China, would fall under President Trump's unsettled tariff policy. But Volk-Weiss said the company plans to "keep everything on schedule and keep the prices locked," with Nacelle's other divisions helping to manage any impact on the profit margins. "My goal is to make this the most successful Star Trek (toy) line ever or at least tie Playmates from their original '90s run," Volk-Weiss said. "So if I want to do that, I can't raise my prices and I can't slow anything down because keeping the trust of the community – this sounds cheesy, but it's true – if we lose (that), the line will fail." Sylvester Stallone gives inside look at his ‘inviting' Florida home after ditching LA
Sylvester Stallone is giving fans an inside look at his Florida home. In a recent interview for the September/October cover of Veranda, Stallone and wife Jennifer Flavin spoke about how they knew they had found the right house when they purchased their Palm Beach estate. 'We looked at some of the houses built after COVID, and they were monstrosities,' Stallone told the outlet. 'Monumental structures, but none of them embraced you or made you feel warm. You felt as though you were in a hotel lobby.' After house-hunting for some time, the couple looked at a home in Palm Beach with high ceilings and oversized windows, which was built in 2014. Flavin said what won her over was it was 'a livable size.' Stallone echoed his wife's statement, explaining the house 'doesn't have eight living rooms for no reason.' From the moment they first saw the home, 'it automatically felt inviting,' an important factor for both of them. 'I've always made every house we've ever had a home,' Flavin said. 'I don't care if someone spills something. I can replace the rug or get it cleaned. We have three dogs and a cat and lots of children. Nothing we own is precious. Our family is precious, but the material things are not precious.' 'The screening room definitely has a theme,' Stallone explained. 'It's about where I came from.' Elsewhere in the house, there's a gym, a luxury primary suite, a keyhole swimming pool outside situated in the center of a manicured lawn, a bar and walls filled with Stallone's vast art collection. 3 The Palm Beach estate was built in 2014. 'I consider it like a wardrobe,' Stallone said of his art collection. 'You can only wear the same shirt so many times before you go, 'God, I'd like to see if this other color works [with it].' 'With art, you can take a piece that you've become … maybe not blasé about, but you're not exactly overwhelmed by it anymore. You move that piece to another room, now you're invigorated. It's like furniture: messing around, moving it around, constantly restimulating our minds.' Stallone and Flavin announced their plans to leave Los Angeles and move to Florida during the season 2 premiere of their reality show, 'The Family Stallone,' in February 2024. 'After long, hard consideration, your mother and I have decided, time to move on and leave the state of California permanently,' he told his daughters Scarlet, Sistine and Sophia. 3 Stallone's wife, Jennifer Flavin, said the 'livable size' is what won her over, as prior to the couple purchasing the property, they resided in Los Angeles, California. In a confessional, Stallone admitted 'it's not an easy transition to Florida,' but it was something his wife 'really had her heart set on it,' and he eventually 'gave in.' Prior to starring in their own reality show, Flavin and Stallone were on the brink of divorce. Flavin filed for divorce from the 'Rambo' star in August 2022 after 25 years of marriage. However, the two reconciled and were spotted out together shortly after.
