Bala Town facing cuts of 'up to 30%'
Bala Town are facing cuts of up to 30% following a "hugely difficult and challenging 12 months" for the club.
Earlier this month, the Lakesiders announced Colin Caton, the Cymru Premier's longest serving manager, had resigned after 22 years and 880 games in charge at Maes Tegid.

"The club will be forever grateful to Colin for his outstanding service, his complete commitment to the position, his dedication, his enthusiasm, his determination, his professionalism and his outstanding achievements," Bala said in a statement.
And club secretary Ruth Crump says Bala are assessing their expenditure in full amid a major financial struggle at the Gwynedd outfit.
"We're looking into everything at the club in terms of our spending, facilities, training, we're looking at cuts everywhere," Crump told BBC Radio Cymru's Ar y Marc.
"We're looking at between 20% and 30% (in cuts)."

Crump added: "The challenges that we as a small club face within the Cymru Premier have been discussed extensively, but no help or solutions have come to help alleviate those concerns.
"The challenges have had a personal impact on a number of people involved with the club, but we are determined to continue our journey at the highest level of football in Wales."
Caton guided Bala to a first ever Welsh Cup in 2017 and led the Lakesiders to Nathaniel MG Cup glory in 2023.
Discussing Caton's exit, Crump added: "I've been in shock over these past few days, I wasn't expecting it at all.
"I thought Colin was carrying on for at least another year. It's really sad and I've been very upset by it all."

🚨Official: Aguirre confirms a Mexico absentee
Mexico - Switzerland not only left a terrible result for the tricolor team, after falling by a score of 4-2, but also added a player to the list of casualties for the match against Turkey. Speaking to the media, Javier Aguirre announced that César "Cachorro" Montes will not be in action as a precaution in the match on Tuesday, June 10, after receiving a blow to the head, for which he left the field in the second half Advertisement "Cachorro has a dizziness but I saw him well. I don't think anything happened to him, but for safety it was better to withdraw him thinking that the player has a commitment on June 14. I don't think he will play against Turkey, why expose him?", he mentioned. Additionally, "El Vasco" ruled out Reyes, Quiñones, 'Tiba' Sepúlveda, Chávez, due to muscle discomfort, and Johan, due to his ankle. 4 takeaways from the Steelers signing of Aaron Rodgers
After a long wait, the Pittsburgh Steelers finally have their quarterback. According to multiple reports, Aaron Rodgers is headed to Pittsburgh and will sign his contract in time to get started with the team at their mandatory minicamp next week. This has been a long time coming even if we all assumed this was how it would go. Here are our big takeaways from the pending signing. Aaron Rodgers will be welcomed with open arms I know there has been some grumbling and some players have made off-hand comments here and there about Rodgers dragging this out. But make no mistake, Rodgers will be welcomed by every player on the roster when he shows up because they know the NFL is a business and they know Rodgers can play. The NFL was banking Rodgers signing with the Steelers All you have to do is look at the Steelers schedule and you know there was nothing random about how things played out. Pittsburgh is running a crazy gauntlet of games aimed at either former Steelers quarterbacks playing the Steelers or Rodgers against his old teams, and that isn't an accident. Rodgers signing won't change a thing about the 2026 NFL draft I know there will be plenty of fans who don't like this addition because they think this addition will make the Steelers just good enough to end up with a lower draft pick and not be abel to secure a top quarterback in the 2026 NFL draft. This won't be an issue. If the Steelers are set on a particular quarterback next year, they have the draft capital to move up and get them and Rodgers will be gone. Rodgers makes the team better If you ask most fans, they were not looking forward to watching Mason Rudolph start 17 games this season because the team isn't good with Rudolph at quarterback. Rodgers might not make the Steelers a Super Bowl contender or even that much better in terms of overall record. But it will be more watchable, competitive football. Pochettino plays down Spurs return rumors
United States head coach Mauricio Pochettino has distanced himself from talk of a return to Tottenham Hotspur (Joe Buglewicz) USA head coach Mauricio Pochettino has played down rumors linking him with the vacant managerial position at his former club Tottenham Hotspur, following the sacking of Ange Postecoglou on Friday. Argentine Pochettino was in charge of Spurs for five years from 2014 and took the team to the Champions League final but never won a trophy with the North London club. Advertisement Despite having signed a two year contract in September to lead the USA at the 2026 World Cup, which they are co-hosting with Canada and Mexico, Pochettino's name has appeared in bookmakers' lists of favorites for the Spurs job and in several UK reports. But asked on Saturday about the links, in his post-match press conference following the USA's 2-1 home friendly defeat to Turkey, Pochettino played down the talk. "After I left in 2019, every time that I was free, and the place of the position of the manager or head coach in Tottenham Hotspur (was vacant), my name is appearing on the list," Pochettino said. "If you have seen the rumors, I think there are 100 coaches in the list. I think, don't be worried about that," he added. Advertisement Pochettino has talked in the past about his remaining affection for Spurs and has never ruled out the possibility of returning to the club at some point. But he suggested the timing was not right for a second chance with his old team. "If something happened, you for sure you will see, but we cannot talk about this type of thing, because I think today, it's not real. It's not realistic. And look at where I am, where we are," he said in the stadium press room in Hartford, Connecticut. "And the thing is, the answer is so clear, no? But we're talking about it because it's my club, like Newells or Espanyol," he added. Advertisement Postecoglou was fired just 16 days after the Australian ended Tottenham's 17-year trophy drought by winning the Europa League. Postecoglou led Tottenham to a 1-0 victory over Manchester United in Bilbao to clinch the north Londoners' first European prize in 41 years and secure a place in next season's Champions League. The former Celtic boss paid the price for Tottenham's worst domestic season since they were relegated from the top flight in 1976-77. The USA have now lost three games in a row, following losses to Panama and Canada in March's CONCACAF Nations League but Pochettino was upbeat about his team's encouraging display after question marks about the attitude of his team in recent games. Advertisement "This attitude I want to continue for the future until we arrive to the World Cup … that is the only way we can improve," he said. "If I decide in September (to have a) different roster, what I want is the same level of commitment, attitude, not to complain (about) this and that," he added. sev/bb
