Nelly and Ashanti have a love story that belongs in fairy tales. The couple dated for 11 years starting in 2003, then they broke up for 10, explored other options, and then got back together. And not only are they together, they're married with a child. Their son KK is a few months old, and the couple are bringing their new life to Peacock on 'Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together.'
We spoke to the loving couple, who keep one another laughing as they talked about balancing marriage, parenthood, and career. Ashanti opened up about going through postpartum and the pressure of 'snapping back.'
'It was a lot going through a lot of firsts in front of so many people,' Ashanti explained. 'Becoming newlyweds and getting married and having a child and the postpartum body. I like to be in a bikini on an island, you know what I mean?' She added, 'After having a baby, you go through those things as a woman, and I just feel like I wanted to inspire women that it's OK, you don't have to snap back the minute you step out of the hospital room.'
'Nelly and Ashanti: We Belong Together' peels back the veil on the beloved singer's postpartum process, including her hitting the gym to get back into shape. Ashanti is doing it on her time. 'I feel like there's so much on women, you know, to look a certain way and step a certain way. For me, it's just putting your focus into you and making sure you're OK mentally and healthy because you have to be strong for your child.'
As for her husband, he was supportive of her during that most sensitive time', she revealed, 'He's good, he's being a little modest, but he's very encouraging and has a very nice nurturing side.'

Sharon Stone confirms unexpected celebrity dating rumor with Grammy winner

Sharon Stone divulged a few secrets about her love life. Stone, 57, was in the hot seat during a recent guest appearance on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" with her "Nobody 2" co-star Bob Odenkirk. Cohen asked the "Basic Instinct" actress to clear up rumors surrounding her past relationships, including hear-say that Stone dated Grammy-award-winning rapper Nelly. "I mean ... this is crazy enough that I actually might believe it," Cohen said before agreeing with Odenkirk who chimed in, "I'm gonna say yeah." "Sharon, did you go on a date with Nelly?" the Bravo patriarch asked, to which Stone said, "Yes, I did." Love was not on the line for the pair, though, and Stone admitted she only went on one date with the "Country Grammar" artist. Stone was previously married to Michael Greenburg from 1984-87, and then married Phil Bronstein in 1998. Their relationship ended in 2004. The "Casino" star adopted her first son, Roan, 25, with Bronstein. She then adopted Laird, 20, in 2005, followed by son Quinn, 19, the following year. Stone reflected on a more difficult time in her life during an interview with Today. The actress confessed that her family took priority after she experienced a medical scare which nearly cost her life. In September 2001, Stone suffered a stroke and doctors thought she might not live. She had a cerebral hemorrhage that lasted nine days. "I have been a person who's been blessed to have ... I had a very big career at one point," Stone told the outlet. "In the '90s, I think it would be fair to say I pretty much owned the '90s as an actress. "I stopped when I had a stroke. I had a massive, massive stroke and nearly died. So, I couldn't work. When I reconsidered what value things had to me in life." Stone added, "I really wanted to have children and spend my time with them and I only really worked as much as I needed to support my family, but now my children have left the nest, and now I'm back to work." She previously told The Hollywood Reporter that she suffered extreme financial strain after suffering the stroke. "I had $18 million saved because of all my success, but when I got back into my bank account, it was all gone," said Stone, who revealed people took "advantage" of her in her weakest moments because they "thought [she] was going to die." "My refrigerator, my phone – everything was in other people's names. I had zero money." Despite the major setback, Stone said she chose to move forward. "I decided to stay present and let go," she said. "I decided not to hang onto being sick or to any bitterness or anger. If you bite into the seed of bitterness, it never leaves you. But if you hold faith, even if that faith is the size of a mustard seed, you will survive." "So, I live for joy now," she added. "I live for purpose."

La La Dishes On Embracing Her ‘BMF' Character Markeisha's 90 Style

Source: Courtesy Of Talent / HelloBeautiful If you're a fan of La La Anthony (who isn't?) you've watched her evolution as an actress in the Powerverse. She started off playing LaKeisha Grant, the sidekick to Naturi Naughton, on the original Power series and grew to be Tommy's down a** b*tch. Her death on the beloved series was a major TV moment, but it wouldn't be the last we would see of the beauty. She returned, this time on 'BMF' in the role of Markeisha Taylor, the sexy and business-savvy woman who captures Tee's eye (no pun intended). We caught up with La La for a candid chat ahead of the premiere of season four of 'BMF' and the beloved mom and actress opened up about Markeisha's growth, and how her 90s style helped her embody the character and time period. 'I think Markeisha embodies the 90s with the leather jackets, the pink suit, the blouses with the leather and stretch pants. It's something about putting on the clothes, the wig and the makeup, you just really start embodying not only the character, but that time period. It definitely helps me get into character for sure.' In addition to her nostalgic wardrobe, Markeisha and La La both have great hair. She reminisced on wearing roller sets and blow-outs to achieve the big hair. 'In my real life, I love ponytails. I love hair that's slicked back. So [for] Markeesha, that wasn't going on then. It was like the bigger the better, the puffier the better. I would be in my, in my dressing room trying to pat it down. Then I would get out and they would be like stop patting your hair down. That's not how they wore it in the 90s. It's supposed to be big. I gave in and I just got into it, but I love looking at it now.' Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty When asked what she loves most about that era, she said, there was no social media. 'People were really just interacting with each other and when you went to parties, people were actually having a good time, not just on your phone or trying to. You're just in that moment having fun. That's what I love about that time period. I just felt like people really got to know each other and interact with each other.'
