A HOLLYOAKS star has signed up for Love Island USA - six years after far-right storyline on the Channel 4 soap.
Former soap star Charlie Georgio, 27, has taken his career in a completely different direction and has become an Islander.

Charlie arrived on Love Island USA as a bombshell

Birmingham native Charlie first shot to fame back in 2019 on Channel 4's Hollyoaks.
On the soap he played Jed, a police informant in a far right extremist group who was set up on a date with Ste Hay.
Charlie was on the soap for six episodes, before his Hollyoaks stint came to an end.
BECOMING AN ISLANDER
But now it's been revealed he is part of the cast of Love Island USA, which is currently being filmed in Fiji.

The hunk in trunks, who is also a model and singer, joined the show as a bombshell on the second episode of the new series, which is airing in America.
As he was seen walking into the villa, the chiselled star said: "I'm tall, tanned, girls usually say I've got
nice
lips, and they like kissing them.
"You might thing that Love Island started already, but now that I'm here, it's only just begun,"
Love Island USA also isn't Charlie's first stint in reality TV.

In fact, when his acting worked up dried up during the pandemic he pitched in and worked there.
Working in the chip shop inspired him to write and release a song in 2021 called Lights, which was filmed in the family's takeaway called Giorgio's,
Charlie told
"But then 2020 came and things got quiet, so I started picking up more shifts at the chip shop to stack up a bit of cash.
"The shop is quite well-known around the area. It's been in the family for 30 years.
"The song is just a message to people in a similar situation to stick with it."

They're up against Netflix, Sky , Prime Video and countless other corporations with deep pockets and big ambitions. Only in Britain could we be forced by law to shell out for a home-grown broadcasting service, only to find the best TV shows are increasingly made by largely foreign-owned streamers. Then — in the ultimate rip-off — we have to cough up even more money to watch them. That's the enraging situation we find ourselves in in the year 2025. Although there are some notable exceptions on the BBC , ITV and Channel 4, the consensus is that subscription services are now making the most electrifying programmes on the planet. So, why can't the channels we already pay for make more of the TV that gets us excited? Though the streamers obviously have pots of cash to spend, it's not just a money problem either. Look no further than the recent co-production between Disney+ and the BBC on Doctor Who. It's easy to understand why other shows that are laden with CGI and big Hollywood stars end up on the streamers, but why is it that comedies like Ted Lasso never seem to pop up on ITV? Rod It was, by most people's standards, an unmitigated disaster. The studio giant pumped millions into cutting-edge special effects, sets that dazzled rather than wobbled and genuinely monstrous monsters. And what did the BBC do? They squandered it by turning a sci-fi classic into a series of woke lectures that had viewers turning off in droves. Now the Disney+ deal is hanging in the balance and they're having to bring back David Tennant. It's easy to understand why other shows that are laden with CGI and big Hollywood stars end up on the streamers, but why is it that comedies like Ted Lasso never seem to pop up on ITV? ITV, by the way, recently spent millions launching The Genius Game, with And the one thing I thought while watching the brilliant, gritty drama Adolescence was, this could easily have been done by Channel 4. Neither Adolescence nor Ted Lasso would have cost that much to produce, surely? It's not Star Wars or Bridgerton. Pure extortion Part of the problem, it seems, is that a lot of creatives and execs now don't just chase the money — they also chase trends and credibility. At last month's TV Baftas, around a third of the nominations went to streamers — a figure that's been growing rapidly over the past decade. That, too, could reach a tipping point in a couple of years. The solution is glaringly obvious, but not easy. If Disney+ steal Blind Date, come up with the next Blind Date. If they lose Clarkson to Prime Video, find the next Jeremy. If Netflix do Bridgerton, come up with another twist on the period drama. They need to stop the rot in terrestrial telly, because one day a cluster of these streamers will start offering a one-price-buys-all subscription deal that will make the licence fee look like pure extortion. Then public service broadcasting's days really will be numbered.

American Pie star admits snorting cocaine out of stranger's TRASH at 4am at depths of drug addiction
JASON Biggs has revealed he retrieved a bag of cocaine from the trash THREE times in one night in his lowest moment battling addiction. He finally drove to a public trash can on Sunset Boulevard but later drove back and found it again. Biggs explained his wife, actress and author Jenny Mollen, was asleep upstairs completely unaware of what was happening. In a raw interview on 'I lived in the gray area, but I have 'snorting dust off the floor' stories or similar to that,' Biggs said. 'One of my craziest stories was I was doing cocaine by myself in my house, and I did what I said was 'the last line'.' 'Within 15 minutes, as soon as my last bump is wearing off, what am I doing?' he said. 'I go into my trash, and I take it out and I do a line.' Still, the pull of the drug was stronger than him. That's too final. 'I knew I was going to finish that bag the moment I got it, but I kept playing this game with myself. That was very close to rock bottom.' Biggs, who shares two sons, Sid, 11, and Lazlo, 7, with Mollen, described how his addiction had taken over every part of his daily life. 'For me, it was the obsession over it,' he said. 'It was wake up and immediately think, 'How am I going to get my first line?'… It was exhausting and I was sort of consumed mentally.' Now more than seven years sober, Biggs says 'There is a freedom that comes with not having to do those things anymore.' In 2018, the Orange Is the New Black actor celebrated one year of sobriety with an emotional Instagram post, writing: 'I first tried to get sober over 5 years ago, when the weight of my obsession with booze and drugs became too heavy for me to handle. 'Turns out this s**t is hard. 'After some fits and starts, I've managed to put together one year of sobriety. I'm as proud of it as anything in my life. If you're struggling, know there's help. Don't be ashamed. We can do this.' Biggs has since reflected on the effort it took to conceal it his addiction. 'I'm going to therapy and 'working on things,' but meanwhile I'm leaving therapy, having just had a good session, and I'm going to the liquor store and buying a fifth of vodka, drinking it and then driving home,' he said on a March 2024 episode of All the Fails, hosted by his wife. 'I knew how to get wasted enough to where I took myself out of the life equation, took myself out of the present, didn't have to connect in a way that made me feel things,' he added. 'I had it figured out to a T. To not get too drunk where I couldn't have a conversation with you. 'I was replacing those bottles in the bar all the time.'
