Five of England's European Championship-winning squad have been nominated for this year's Women's Ballon d'Or.
Captain Leah Williamson is joined by Lionesses team-mates Lucy Bronze, Chloe Kelly, Alessia Russo and Hannah Hampton after they clinched back-to-back European titles with victory over Spain in Basel last month.
Four English players have been nominated for the Men's Ballon d'Or, with Jude Bellingham, Harry Kane, Cole Palmer and Declan Rice all on the list.

Scotland's Scott McTominay is a nominee following his stellar season with Napoli, where he helped the team clinch the Serie A title in their final game of the season.
Hampton is also nominated for the Yachine Trophy, given to the best women's goalkeeper.
The 24-year-old Chelsea goalkeeper was a key cog in the Lionesses' Euros victory, where she made two brilliant saves in England's penalty shoot-out win against Spain in the final.
Williamson, Russo and Kelly's nominations mean that seven Arsenal players make up the women's Ballon d'Or list after the Gunners finished second in the Women's Super League last season and won the Champions League.
Aitana Bonmati scooped the women's award last year and is one of six Barcelona players listed, including Alexia Putellas.
Bayern Munich striker Kane earns his spot on the Ballon d'Or list after scoring 26 Bundesliga goals, while Cole Palmer scored 15 Premier League goals for Chelsea last year and won the Conference League and Club World Cup.
Premier League champions Liverpool have three players nominated in Alexis Mac Allister and Virgil van Dijk, along with the league's top scorer last season Mohamed Salah, who found the net 29 times.
Nine Paris St Germain players are listed following their maiden Champions League victory in May, as well as last season's LaLiga top scorer Kylian Mbappe.
The Lionesses have further nominations elsewhere, with forward Michelle Agyemang listed for the Women's Kopa Trophy.
The 19-year-old Arsenal striker spent last season on loan at fellow WSL side Brighton, where she scored five goals in 22 appearances.

However, she became a household name at this summer's Euro 2025, where she was named Young Player of the Tournament and her stellar summer continues after being named as one of five players in contention for the Women's Kopa, awarded to the best under-21 female footballer.
Myles Lewis-Skelly was also among the nominees for the men's Kopa Trophy after enjoying a breakout season with Arsenal and is joined by 18-year-old Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal, who is also a men's Ballon d'Or nominee.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot and Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca have been nominated for the men's Johan Cruyff Trophy, along with PSG's Luis Enrique after he steered the side to their first Champions League trophy.
Congratulations, Sarina! 🙌

Will Celtic's tendency for late business catch them out?

With a Champions League qualifier on the horizon and the domestic campaign already under way, there is growing frustration among Celtic supporters about a lack of transfer business. While they've seen six new faces permanently through the door - Benjamin Nygren, Hayato Inamura, Shin Yamada, Kieran Tierney, Ross Doohan and Callum Osmand - only three were part of the squad for last weekend's Premiership opener. Kieran Tierney made his first competitive start since returning to the club while Benjamin Nygren started in place of last season's summer signing Arne Engels. Shin Yamada was an unused substitute while centre-back Jahmai Simpson-Pusey was spotted in the stands at Parkhead in full training gear before his loan deal was announced the following day. But how did Celtic look at this point in last year's transfer window? On 8 August 2024, Celtic had added Paulo Bernardo plus goalkeepers Kasper Schmeichel and Viljami Sinisalo but still hadn't completed deals for Engels, Auston Trusty, Luke McCowan or Adam Idah. Striker Idah, who had spent the 2023-24 season on loan, arrived at Celtic on 15 August for a reported fee of around £9.5m. Alex Valle joined on loan in late August and Engels wouldn't arrive until deadline day for a club record fee of £11m alongside centre-back Auston Trusty and midfielder Luke McCowan. While that timeline shows Celtic's tendency for late business, there's one big difference between where the club sat last summer compared to now - the Champions League play-off. While Celtic went straight into the league phase a year ago, this season they face a two-legged tie against either Kairat or Slovan Bratislava to secure their will need to name his full squad, up to 25 players, for the play-off round by midnight on 14 August - the day before Celtic signed Idah last year - albeit the club are allowed two late additions that can be made until the day before the first leg on 19 or 20 August. So with the deadline edging closer, will Rodgers have the signings he craves when Celtic bid for Champions League qualification?

Fanatics President of Trading Cards David Leiner

The release attracted a diverse range of fans looking to start their new collections while footballing legends like Steven Gerrard, Rio Ferdinand and Alan Shearer were also in attendance. With players from all 20 Premier League clubs featured in the collection and more genuine player autograph cards s than ever before, Leiner relished the collection's ability to provide something for every collector. '[The feedback has] been great. The product screams Premier League. There's so many different hooks in the product and different ways to collect,' he enthused. Fanatics President of Trading Cards David Leiner was delighted to see the reaction from fans as the Topps Premier League 2026 collection launched at their flagship London store on Regent Street on Thursday. (Image: Topps) 'This is our most broadly distributed Premier League product so we want fans of all ages, income levels, everywhere [to access it]. There's so many fun collecting journeys to be had. 'Whether you want to go on a high-end journey and chase some of the big hits or you want to collect your favourite club and gather up all the players, chase some of the fun insert parts we have in there, there are so many different ways to collect. It's a beautiful product.' For Leiner, who is a collectibles enthusiast himself, that journey will most likely start with an ambition to go back to traditional ways and complete a set. 'I'm a little old school and I'm a set collector, so I still love building the sets, chasing all the players. That's what I'm going to do,' he explained. 'I really like when you take the base set and chase those rare parallels, so I'm going to have to go chase after a few guys. 'I've got my eye on a few Chelsea players. There's some young guys that are interesting, so I'll see where my collecting journey takes me.' Fanatics, who acquired the Topps name in January 2022, won back the Premier League rights for the upcoming season and have left no stone unturned in ensuring their collectibles are a hit product. The all-new Topps Premier League 2026 collection is a stand-alone range outside of Match Attax and boasts an extensive parallel programme with 15 colour variations across unnumbered and numbered parallels. And fans can also expect further surprises to come throughout the season. 'We are really excited to get the Premier League rights,' said Leiner. 'We had been a partner of the Premier League in the past, we were the original partner of the Premier League when it formed in the early 90s, and now the rights are back home where they belong. 'I couldn't be more delighted to see the rights back with us. We're going to delight fans and collectors with a bunch of products all throughout the season, but this is the first one. 'When you talk about domestic league football, you have some of the biggest clubs in the world and you have the best players. This is incredibly important to us, incredibly important to fans of the UK, but also all over the world.' Alongside Shearer, Gerrard and Ferdinand there was also a host of other legends in the Fanatics London store like Theo Walcott, Jermaine Defoe and Joleon Lescott. As avid collector and current Premier League and Chelsea star Tosin Adarabioyo also made an appearance, it is clear Topps are engaging players and fans at all levels of the game in their collecting journey. 'A big belief we have is if the athletes are going to care about the cards, then the collectors and fans are going to care,' explained Leiner. 'When they see their favourite athletes collecting, that's going to further their interest and really help us further develop the category. That's been very important. 'We continue to market the category like it's never been marketed before. Having a flagship store like this in London is a big marketing vehicle for us, but it's also a big educational vehicle, and it's a big community building vehicle. 'We sell products and that's important, but community is what this is really all about.' Marking the launch of the Topps Premier League 2025-26 collection were football icons Alan Shearer, Steven Gerrard, and Rio Ferdinand, joined by Jermaine Defoe, Joleon Lescott, Theo Walcott and Tosin Adarabioyo, alongside Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin in a star-studded celebration.
