Appeal for dashcam footage after fatal collision
Police have appealed for dashcam footage after a man in his 50s died in a collision.
It happened just after 21:00 GMT on Saturday in Shenley Road, in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.
Officers say the man was seen walking in the road and is believed to have collided with a silver Lexus car.
Sgt Duncan Hall, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: "I am appealing to anyone who was travelling on Shenley Road around 9pm last night and saw the man or has any dashcam footage which could support our investigation."

Police cast wide net in probe of defunct North Texas car dealership's business practices
Desire Godfrey said it was time for a vehicle upgrade. The Lancaster mother had her eye on a Lexus. "I had a baby, so I'm looking for something reliable for me and a baby," Godfrey said. She searched online and found what she thought was the right vehicle at The Reserve Auto Group in The Colony. She described the sales process in May 2024 as a positive experience. Warranty and GAP insurance issues But an unexpected oil change six months later changed everything. Godfrey, 33, said a Lexus dealership informed her the vehicle was not under warranty. She also discovered her GAP insurance policy didn't exist. "They (Reserve Auto Group) never paid the warranty company the money they were supposed to pay to activate this warranty and this GAP insurance," she said. Car loan charges continue Godfrey said the costs were included in her car note. She filed a report with The Colony Police Department — and she's not alone. Police said they received their first complaint on Jan. 31. According to a news release, police have been investigating multiple fraud claims connected to the dealership since 2023. The business shut down in December 2024, but complaints continue to come in. Alleged auto fraud pattern Investigators said customers were allegedly instructed to write separate checks for aftermarket warranties or GAP insurance policies. Those payments were supposed to go to third-party providers, but police said the dealership allegedly cashed the checks and never forwarded the money — leaving customers without coverage. Another victim comes forward A second alleged victim, who spoke to CBS News Texas anonymously, said she and her husband also bought a Lexus from the dealership. She provided a non-activation letter from DOWC Administrative Services LLC, a company that offers GAP insurance and warranties. The letter stated: "Please be advised that Reserve Auto has failed to remit payment to Us as the Administrator and Provider for your Contract. Consequently, the Contract was not activated in our system." Investigation still ongoing Police have not made any arrests or publicly identified anyone associated with the allegations. Officers said they are continuing to vet additional alleged victims. CBS News Texas is not naming the person listed as the dealership's owner, as police have indicated he did nothing wrong. He spoke briefly by phone, saying he wanted to schedule an appointment to discuss the claims further because he believed "we did not have all the facts." When asked for clarification, he said he didn't have time to explain. Legal team responds Two emails followed the call, and attorneys from Herrin Law introduced themselves. "We have no comment at this time. Thank you for your interest in our client's side of the story," attorney Benjamin Palatiere said. He requested that all future inquiries be directed to him. Buyer left without coverage Meanwhile, Godfrey said the vehicle itself has not had any issues. But she continues to pay for a warranty and insurance that don't exist. "So nobody wants to refinance the loan. Nobody wants to give me GAP insurance," she said. "It's just more so like I'm going to take it or leave it. If I wreck the car, then I would have to figure out a way to pay that car off." Godfrey said she hopes to recover the money one day.

Docs: 7-year-old brother tried to save Streamwood sisters with CPR; suspect detained

STREAMWOOD, Ill. — The 7-year-old brother of the Streamwood stabbing suspect saw his blood-covered sisters and tried to save their lives, according to documents revealed Friday. Jalonie Jenkins, 25, was charged with first-degree murder Wednesday following the alleged deadly double stabbing of his sisters, Janiya Jenkins, 21, and Eyani Jones, 10, on May 28. Jenkins was taken into custody Sunday night in Downers Grove near a Metra station. A manhunt ensued for him for days after his vehicle was found the next morning in Bensenville. Court documents unveiled during a detention hearing Friday paint a harrowing picture involving the victims and the 7-year-old brother of all three. All three were on the second floor of the home as Eyani was playing a Snapchat game with her best friend. During the game, screaming emitted from the phone after Jenkins allegedly stabbed Janiya multiple times. The Snapchat call was abruptly disconnected after Eyani told her friend to call 911. Documents state that prior to it ending, the best friend heard Janiya reportedly beg Jenkins not to 'kill the kids.' Around this time, documents show that the 7-year-old brother of Jenkins and the victims came inside after playing outside. He walked up the stairs and saw Janiya crying and covered in blood. Janiya told her brother to grab his niece, Janiya's 3-year-old daughter, and leave, documents state. He was called a disparaging name by Jenkins and was pushed down the stairs, documents allege. Jenkins then brought the boy and his niece into a main level bathroom. The two heard 'ongoing loud thumps' and overheard Eyani yelling to call 911, documents state. Detectives found Ring camera footage and at around 7 p.m., Jenkins was seen holding multiple bags and the family dog. Documents state he fled the scene in a Lexus. After around 20 minutes, the 7-year-old brother exited the bathroom and discovered Janiya and Eyani covered in blood. Documents show that the little brother attempted to save his sisters by performing CPR, to no avail. He then dressed up his 3-year-old niece in pants and shoes and went to his neighbor's home, who is the mother of Eyani's friend she was initially playing with on Snapchat. The 7-year-old and the mother entered the home and called 911. Police believe Jenkins used a kitchen knife for the alleged rampage. Eyani suffered 10 stab wounds to her neck, chest and hands. Janiya suffered 12 stab wounds, primarily to the neck. Detectives were able to determine Jenkin's fleeing path from license plate reading cameras, documents state. A witness told police that that night at around 9:15 p.m. while at Redmond Park in Bensenville, Jenkins reportedly approached and asked if they would like to buy his car. It was found abandoned the next day at the park with clothes and blood. Prosecutors also allege that Jenkins told his girlfriend that night, via text and a call, that he was 'fighting with his sisters.' Previous: Man accused of killing his sisters in Streamwood taken into custody He was arrested during the late evening hours Sunday night in Downers Grove. Jenkins court date was initially scheduled earlier in the week, but he was transported to the hospital from the Streamwood Police Department on Wednesday. Circumstances around his hospitalization have not been released, but he was healthy enough to attend a detention hearing Friday where he was held pending trial by a judge. One of the victim's friends, Jasmine Marshall, told WGN News she knew Janiya well and described her as one of a kind. 'She was a good friend, like a friend I've never had,' Marshall said. The mother of Eyani's best friend told WGN News on Monday the incident was heartbreaking. 'She was a really sweet girl,' she said. 'They go to school down the street. Murder arrest after man dies in street fight
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a teenager died following a street fight in Bradford. West Yorkshire Police were called to the Newton Street area just after 14:30 BST on Friday to reports of a number of men fighting with knives. A 19-year-old man was found with serious injuries and died at the scene, officers said. The force said three other men have been arrested on suspicion of offences including affray. Det Ch Insp Dan Bates said: "A full investigation is ongoing into what has clearly been a very serious incident which has resulted in a young man losing his life. "A number of initial arrests have been made and we are appealing for witnesses and information, as we work to determine the full circumstances of what took place." He added there would be a number of police scenes in place during the evening and officers would be patrolling to reassure residents.
