Downforce? Completed it, mate

Ford will return to Pikes Peak in less than three weeks with a familiar face - five-time winner Romain Dumas - but a shiny new ride. Welcome to the 'Super Mustang' Mach-E: an all-electric load lugger slammed down and cranked up to 11.
The Mach-E has received a considerable makeover for its summit, including negatively cambered wheels, that slammed body, devilish splitters all round and a quite terrifying rear wing. The latter is reminiscent of Suzuki's throwback Escudo Pikes Peak racer from 1996. Gran Turismo veterans will know the one.

Ford recalls nearly half a million 2016-17 Explorers due to door trim that can detach while driving
Ford is recalling nearly half a million older Explorer models because part of the door trim can detach while driving and cause a dangerous road hazard, U.S. auto safety regulators said Wednesday. A notice posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the recall covers 492,145 Ford Explorers, model years 2016-2017. The vehicles were produced between June 11, 2015 and April 19, 2017. Ford Motor Co. first recognized the problem as far back as 2019, but did not consider it an 'unreasonable risk to safety," the NHTSA report said. In March of this year, the NHTSA shared with Ford dozens of vehicle owner reports of the problem, leading Ford to further investigate it, eventually leading to the recall. Ford concluded that lack of proper adhesion was causing the trim to loosen, adding that it is unaware of accidents or injuries related to the defect. The Dearborn, Michigan-based automaker expects to start sending notification letters to owners on June 9. When a remedy to fix the faulty part has been determined, owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicles into a Ford or Lincoln dealership to have the trim fixed at no cost. The NHTSA recall number is 25V347. The manufacturer's recall number is 25S53.

Shaquille O'Neal fumes at Chiefs coach Andy Reid over Travis Kelce's Super Bowl nightmare
NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal is furious with Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid over his limited use of Travis Kelce in the Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Chiefs' hopes of a three-peat crashed horribly and quickly when they trailed by as many as 34 points in February's NFL championship game and eventually lost 40-22. In the loss, Kelce had four catches on six targets for 39 yards, with all of his championship-game receptions coming with four minutes left in the third quarter or later in the demise. For the Patrick Mahomes ' most-prized weapon, his lack of influence on the most important game of the year was startling. Count the NBA Hall of Famer and basketball broadcaster as part of the group dumbfounded by how the night in New Orleans transpired for the 35-year-old boyfriend of Taylor Swift. 'I have a question, how come they didn't use you a lot at the S uper Bowl?' O'Neal said on 'New Heights'. 'I know you were f***in' p***ed, like I don't wanna get you in trouble.' 'We were trying to use all the pieces man,' Kelce replied, before O'Neal quickly interjected. 'Nah, f*** all the pieces,' O'Neal retorted. 'I need the pieces to help us win the first f***in' Super Bowl, don't be trying to do new s***. ... I wasn't happy about that.' 'I appreciate that, the Eagles were doing a pretty good job of bracketing me and s*** like that,' Kelce added. 'No! F*** that. Stop it. Will you f***ing stop it dot com? You don't have to talk. Coach, he's f***in' 6-8', throw him the goddamn ball - single coverage, double coverage, goal line, alley-oop. Coach, that's the play you call,' O'Neal continued. 'I'm telling you, I'm going to Coach Reid with that one right now,' Kelce said. 'And wait 'til you see this year baby. I'm coming back with a little bit of that Shaq f***in' pissed off. And ready to rock and roll man.' 'I know you are,' O'Neal concluded. Kelce's mindset coming into the NFL season has been questioned after his drop in individual success from last year and his wait to confirm he was coming back to the Chiefs for this fall. The 6-foot-5 Kelce's 823 receiving yards and three touchdowns were each his lowest since his rookie season a dozen years ago, where he barely touched the field. The tight end's blossoming media career outside the NFL was blamed as a distraction, as well as his romance with Swift. Kelce was visibly frustrated when leaving the field in New Orleans and in the locker room after the Super Bowl but did not express any disgust for how he was used in the game with Reid specifically. O'Neal is in the middle of a bustling media career himself as part of the NBA quartet moving from TNT to ESPN this offseason. Reid will likely have a chance to respond to O'Neal's anger if he wants as media sessions are held during Kansas City's offseason practices. All-time, Kelce has 35 catches for 389 yards and two touchdowns in five Super Bowl appearances, winning three championships.

Florida football player who weighs 400 pounds arrested on false imprisonment charge after allegedly choking victim
A Florida football freshman has been arrested on a third-degree felony charge of false imprisonment after allegedly choking and punching a female victim. According to The Gainesville Sun, the accused 17-year-old player - whose name is being withheld as he is a juvenile - is said to have become physical following a verbal argument with the alleged victim - whose name and identifying details are also being withheld - on June 1. When he found unspecified information on her cell phone, the incoming Gators freshman allegedly pushed her onto a bed and began shaking her, the police report states. He is then said to have got on top of her and held her down, before choking her to the point where she could not breathe. The accused reportedly weighs close to 400 pounds and outweighs the alleged victim by over 200 pounds. She told police that she was punched in the face several times and had weave pulled off her head after rolling off the bed. The alleged victim also claims that she asked if he was 'satisfied' after he stopped hitting her, before he responded 'yes'. During the altercation, she also says the accused blocked the doorway when she tried to leave. He then allegedly grabbed her $1,500 iPhone and threw it against a wall, which he later admitted to. However, the player denied choking her and preventing her from leaving the room after having his Miranda Rights read to him. Officers who made the arrest spotted lacerations and wounds on the face of the alleged victim that were still visible and bleeding, according to the police report. It is believed there were also dents on the bedroom wall that were consistent with the size and shape of her phone. The maximum penalty for false imprisonment in Florida is up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000. The 17-year-old Florida freshman is set to be charged in Alachua County Civil Court. 'We will continue to gather facts, cooperate with and monitor the legal and administrative process,' a Florida Gators spokesperson is quoted as saying in a statement. has also reached out to the Gators for comment. Florida has now seen two of their football players arrested this offseason, after cornerback Dijon Johnson was arrested on felony drug and weapons charges in Tampa following a traffic stop last month. Johnson has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
