Fans queue in snow outside Glasgow O2 Academy 13 hours before show

Fans are planning to queue outside Glasgow's O2 Academy for 13 hours to catch a gig.
Crowds have been gathering outside the Southside venue since 6am to secure a good spot at Inhalers sold out show tonight.
The huge alternative-rock band consists of vocalist and guitarist Elijah Hewson - who is the son of U2's Bono, as well as bassist Robert Keating, guitarist Josh Jenkinson and drummer Ryan McMahon.
Wrapped in tinfoil blankets, towels, and bin bags, the groups of pals huddled together while snow fell but told the Glasgow Times it was absolutely 'worth it'.

Morgan Higgins, 16, said: 'We saw on social media people queuing early and camping overnight for the Inhaler shows, so it put the fear into us to show up early.
'We actually expected so many more people to be here, compared to other parts of the country there is no one really here.
'I came down from Aberdeen, I had to get a bus at 3.30am. I got here around 7am.
'It was snowing at one point, it might start again soon. It doesn't put us off though.
'It is worth it to get a better experience at the front. You sacrifice a few hours in the cold but it is a better time so it makes up for it."

Katie Daly, 17, said: 'We have been fans of the band for years .
'Queuing is part of the fun of the show, I have met friends while waiting outside for concerts like this.
'It is nice to catch up with everyone. It is a community.
"Everyone is super friendly, especially at the front of the queue.'

Emma Scott, 17, said: 'We got a bus at 7.30am this morning to come here.
'I personally am not a huge fan. I like them and listen to their songs, but my friends who all wanted to come really early are the mega fans.
'We have tin foil blankets that we will use later to wrap ourselves in them. Everyone else went for jeans with leggings underneath them. I'm in a jean skirt because I thought I could brave the weather.
'We have gloves as well and we have little heat pad warmers that last about 24 hours and we have ponchos in case it rains.
'It is worth it to get to the barricade and be at the front to see the band rather than being at the back with a bad view.'

'We ended up following the band on their tour, we are big fans we wouldn't be here if we weren't.
'The weather isn't too bad. I expected it to be worse. It seems okay.
"We have done this before so with experience you know you need to do layers otherwise after an hour is it terrible, the cold gets everywhere.'
Vivian Prater, 26, said: 'Queuing with a group of friends lets us have proper hang out time, we live quite far apart so we get to catch up a lot.
'We saw Inhalers shallow in Brighton and the flight wasn't too expensive to come to Glasgow so we wanted to come.
'It is cold but as long as you wear enough layers it is fine.'

Bono's Wife and Kids Make Rare Public Appearance for Deeply Meaningful Event

, who is known as the lead singer and songwriter of the hit band U2, had his family with him to celebrate an exciting moment as his new documentary, Bono: Stories of Surrender, made its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 16. The talented Irish musician, whose real name is Paul Hewson, was joined by his wife, Ali Hewson, as well as his daughter Jordan and son Elijah. His other two children, and Josh, didn't appear to be in attendance at the event. 🎬 🎬 Bono and his family were dressed to the nines for the happy night, all wearing monochromatic looks that complemented one another. While Bono looked sharp in an all-black tuxedo with a matching bow at his throat, his wife and daughter went for stylish gowns that were black on top and white on the bottom, with both outfits incorporating sheer fabric and soft accents. Meanwhile, Bono's son Elijah wore a simple black suit with a white shirt underneath. Ali and Jordan don't often attend events, so their appearances at the premiere were extra special. Bono's son Elijah is more often in the public eye as a member of his band Inhaler, which released its debut album, It Won't Always Be Like This, in 2021. Bono's new documentary, Bono: Stories of Surrender, reportedly got a seven-minute standing ovation after its premiere at Cannes, according to Variety. Luckily, fans won't have to wait long to watch it, as the movie is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on May 30.

Megan Thee Stallion FINALLY Replies to Slim Thug Shooting His Shot Online

Black America Web Featured Video CLOSE Source: 300 ENT / 1501 Certified If there's one thing about Slim Thug, he's gonna speak his mind online. The topic could be politics, sports, women's rights and even celeb crushes. Recently Thugga's being campaigning for the affection of fellow Houstonian Megan Thee Stallion. RELATED: Vivica A. Fox Said THESE HOLLYWOOD MEN Are The Best Kissers As reported on Hip Hop Wired , after the Hot Girl Coach was seen dancing to two of his classic tracks, 'Thug from Around the Way' and the iconic 'Still Tippin,' Slim Thug took it as more than just a tribute. 'Aye, if that ain't a 'Daddy, I want you' call then what is,' he said. 'She danced to two of my songs? I say I'm in there.' The rapper believes it's only a matter of time before Megan makes the first move. 'I'm just waiting on my day she comes to Houston and hits me up,' he added with a smirk. The two H-Town artists go way back, with Slim Thug showing love to Megan early in her career. Their paths have crossed at several Houston events, but fans are skeptical about his recent crush claims. Many online are calling Thug delusional, saying Megan was simply showing respect to another Houston icon, not flirting. 'That's not her shooting her shot, she's just reppin' the city,' one fan commented. Now Meg has replied to Slim's playful advances. 'And no, Slim Thug, this don't mean I like you,' she said before a massive crowd. 'I just like your music babe.' Check out the video below.
