New York Post05-07-2025
This dentist sure has a dirty mouth.
Elmo Randolph, 68, turned himself into police in the upscale Bergen County borough of Closter on Thursday after being caught scribbling a swastika on a parked car.
Randolph, of Orange, was charged with fourth-degree bias intimidation, according to the Daily Voice, which shared video footage of the alleged crime.

In the footage, captured by one of the car's many cameras, a baseball cap-donning Randolph is seen in his car on June 15, parked next to a Tesla Cybertruck outside Gary's Liquors in the Closter Plaza.
He then opens his car door, leans out, and, with his fingers, scrawls a swastika onto the side of the dirty vehicle, the video shows.
The Cybertruck's owner reported the vandalism on June 16, and shared the car's surveillance footage with cops, the outlet reported.
Randolph was identified from the video, and turned himself in after learning the Closter Detective Bureau was looking for him.
In 2001, he was one of the plaintiffs in an American Civil Liberties Union lawsuit filed against the New Jersey State Police.
Randolph is a dentist who lives in Orange.

Randolph claimed he'd been stopped by police approximately 100 times, but never received a ticket.
He also alleged that he was subjected to searches of his car and interrogations about his profession, as well as how and where he obtained his luxury car.
Randolph received $75,000 from the state thanks to a 2002 settlement.
Randolph could not be reached for comment Saturday.

NJ hiker missing for more than a week in Arizona national park where ‘mega-fire' is raging

A New Jersey hiker has been missing for more than a week in Arizona's Grand Canyon National Park where a raging 'mega-fire' has exploded to more than 123,000 acres. Thomas Daniel Gibbs, 35, last spoke with friends and family around noon on July 22 and was officially reported missing six days later — the same day his Tesla Cybertruck was discovered abandoned at a parking lot at popular vista Grandview Point, according to the National Park Service. The Freehold native was believed to have embarked on a hike on the arduous Grandview Trail and Horseshore Mesa the day he was last heard from. National Park Service First responders launched an extensive search around Grandview Trail, with ground teams and search dogs as well as drones, NPS officials told Fox News. As they searched, the Dragon Bravo megafire was torching more than 123,434 acres along the canyon's northern rim and was only 13% contained as of Tuesday, according to the latest update. NPS said they've discovered 'no evidence' of Gibbs' whereabouts. They began to scale back the search over the weekend 'due to the lack of further clues or evidence to suggest Mr. Gibbs was in the greater Grandview Trail area.' The fire has been burning since July 4, fueled by hot, dry conditions and strong winds. The U.S. Forest Service declared a 'mega-fire' on July 31 when the fire surpassed 100,000 acres in size. NJ man missing at Grand Canyon for more than a week as wildfire rages on

NEW YORK — A search is underway at the Grand Canyon for a New Jersey man who went missing there early last week. Thomas Daniel Gibbs, 35 of Freehold, was last heard from around noon on July 22, according to a press release from the National Park Service. Investigators believe he was in the Grandview Trail and Horseshoe Mesa area prior to his disappearance. His family reported him missing on Monday. His Tesla Cybertruck was found later that same day in the Grand Canyon's Grandview Point parking lot on the South Rim, park officials said. Gibbs is described as a 6-foot-1 white man with brown hair and brown eyes. His disappearance comes as the Dragon Bravo megafire rages on amid extreme heat warnings in the region, forcing the park service to close off certain parts of Grand Canyon National Park. The fire was sparked by a lightning strike on July 4 and has since become the largest wildfire in the continental United States so far this year, scorching more than 111,000 acres of land, according to AZ Central. Park rangers are asking anyone who was on the Grandview Trail around July 22, or who may have seen Gibbs, to contact the tip line for the National Park Service Investigative Services Branch or to reach out online.
