Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani's youngest son Anant Ambani made a generous donation of Rs. 5 crore to the Ganga Sabha at Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar, one of the most sacred ghats on the banks of the Ganga river in the holy city of Haridwar. Anant, along with his father Mukesh Ambani and wife, had been visiting several religious places across India. During their stop at Har Ki Pauri, Anant personally reviewed the work being carried out by the Ganga Sabha and decided to support their efforts with the donation.
According to reports, this contribution is aimed at improving the infrastructure at Har Ki Pauri. Following the Haridwar visit, Anant invited Ganga Sabha official Tanmay Vashisht to Mumbai for a meeting. The two met at the Ambani family residence, Antilia, where they spoke about the Ganga river, ongoing projects at Har Ki Pauri, and the Sabha's future plans. Vashisht expressed that the Ambani family holds deep spiritual values and has a heartfelt connection to sacred places, especially the Ganga.
During his time in Haridwar, Anant reassured the Ganga Sabha members of his full support. In return, the members expressed their sincere thanks to the Ambani family and offered prayers for their well-being and continued prosperity.
In 2020, Anant donated Rs 5 crore to the Uttarakhand Char Dham Devasthanam Board to help it cover the financial losses suffered due to COVID-19 induced nationwide lockdown.
The Uttarakhand Char Dham Devasthanam Board manages four revered shrines- Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri and Gangotri and other 51 temples.

To address this, a new curriculum was introduced by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for VLSI Design and Technology, Integrated Circuit (IC) government is also shaping skilled manpower in the semiconductor design sector and providing EDA tools to design semiconductor chips, the minister said.A 'Design Linked Incentive (DLI) Scheme' was also approved as part of the Semicon India Programme with an overall outlay of Rs 1000 Crore to nurture the entrepreneurship ecosystem by way of encouraging and supporting the design and deep tech start-ups involved in the semiconductor design ecosystem in the country."So far, 72 design companies (including start-ups and MSMEs) have been approved for semiconductor chip design infrastructure support under the DLI Scheme. New Delhi: Multinational conglomerate IKEA plans to double the number of its stores and customer touchpoints across the nation over the next 12 to 18 months, according to Jesper Brodin, CEO of Ingka Group, which owns IKEA globally. The expansion will include both large-format stores and smaller outlets in malls and city centres. According to Brodin, the company is committed to rapid expansion in India and plans to increase local sourcing from its current 30 per cent to 50 per cent by 2030 as part of its long-term strategy. Additionally, he disclosed that plans to open 5–6 new touchpoints in India every year over the next five years. IKEA intends to double the number of its stores and customer service centres nationwide. IKEA has big plans for the Delhi NCR area as part of its retail expansion, with big stores opening in Noida and Gurgaon. Two additional large stores are also planned for South India, though the precise locations have not yet been disclosed. IKEA currently runs three sizable stores in Bengaluru, Navi Mumbai, and Hyderabad. The company has already invested Rs 10,500 crore in India and has ventured into online retail, providing 24-hour delivery services in a few locations. Regarding sourcing, IKEA has 45 Indian suppliers, mostly in the textile and toy industries. The company's products are well-known throughout the world for their modern design, affordability, and usefulness. The Swedish firm anticipates India to be its fastest-growing market over the next 20 years, with a particular emphasis on customer experience, product range, and expansion. In order to reach a larger consumer base, IKEA's growth strategy consists of a combination of large-format stores, smaller city centre outlets, and an online presence. MLA Abbas Ansari (centre) was sentenced for two years in 2022 hate speech case NEW DELHI: The Allahabad high court on Wednesday overturned the conviction of Abbas Ansari, son of Mukhtar Ansari , in a 2022 hate speech case. As per news agency ANI, justice Samir Jain set aside the earlier order of a special MP/MLA court that had sentenced Abbas to two years' rigorous imprisonment. Abbas Ansari, the then MLA from Mau Sadar representing the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, was initially convicted by the special court in Mau on May 31, 2023. He had been found guilty under Sections 153-A (promoting enmity between groups), 189 (threat to public servant), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 171F (undue influence during elections) of the Indian Penal Code, and was also fined Rs 2,000. Following the conviction, Abbas moved the appellate court, which dismissed his challenge on July 5. Subsequently, he approached the Allahabad high court, which granted him relief by quashing the conviction. Abbas' election agent, Mansoor Ansari, who was present on stage during the speech, had also been convicted in the case and sentenced to six months' imprisonment.
