LaMelo Ball's tattoo artist breaks silence after ‘Hot Chee Toes' tattoo goes viral

Express Tribune29-07-2025
LaMelo Ball became the centre of online chatter after images surfaced suggesting the Charlotte Hornets star had tattooed 'Hot Chee Toes' across his foot.
The fiery, Cheetos-themed design sparked both humour and disbelief, with fans flooding social media with reactions.
However, Ball's tattoo artist Elvis Ramos has now confirmed that the tattoo was not real. Speaking in an Instagram video, Ramos explained the origin of the viral image and clarified that the foot in question did not belong to Ball.
'We tattooed LaMelo Ball. But those 'Hot Chee Toes'—those were not on Melo. We were just trolling,' Ramos said. 'The original artist is actually from California as well, but no, we didn't do that on Melo.'
The prank had fooled thousands online, with some fans criticising Ball's supposed decision and others applauding the bold move. Reactions ranged from 'This can't be real' to 'Bro didn't break ankles, he toasted them.'
Ramos added, 'We did do a leg sleeve on Melo, and we'll be posting that soon. But yeah, we were just trolling, man. The internet is crazy, bro.'
Despite the joke, Ball remains known for his distinctive tattoo choices. His previous back piece took 18 hours and six artists to complete and reads 'Rare One,' reflecting his confident persona on and off the court.
The Hornets, who struggled last season without Ball following a season-ending injury, are hopeful for a turnaround. Ball averaged 25.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 7.4 assists before his absence.

Superman actor Dean Cain joins ICE, announcing new role in video shared on social media

Actor Dean Cain, best known for portraying Superman in the 1990s series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, has revealed he is now serving as an officer with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The announcement came in a video posted to his social media on August 5. Cain, 59, stated, 'For those who don't know, I am a sworn law enforcement officer, as well as being a filmmaker, and I felt it was important to join with our first responders to help secure the safety of all Americans, not just talk about it. So, I joined up.' In the one-and-a-half-minute clip, Cain also promoted ICE recruitment, highlighting reported benefits including a $50,000 signing bonus, student loan repayment, enhanced retirement options and special pay for certain roles. He said, 'If you want to help save America, ICE is arresting the worst of the worst and removing them from America's streets. I like that. I voted for that. They need your help. We need your help, to protect our homeland and our families.' The announcement follows months of scrutiny of ICE after immigration raids earlier this year prompted protests in Los Angeles and nationwide. Several public figures, including Jimmy Kimmel, Kim Kardashian, Cardi B and Mark Ruffalo, have spoken against such operations. Cain's decision drew mixed reactions online. Some Instagram users criticised the move, calling it 'un-Superman' behaviour, while others praised him as 'a legend' for supporting law enforcement. Cain played Clark Kent and Superman in Lois & Clark from 1993 to 1997. He continues to work in film while holding his new law enforcement role.

Mariah Carey just discovered Katy Perry's space expedition, and her reaction is hilariously grounded

Mariah Carey recently discovered that fellow pop star Katy Perry had taken a brief trip to space, and her candid reaction is making headlines. During an appearance on BBC Radio's Scott Mills Breakfast Show on August 7, Carey was asked if she'd consider going into space like Perry. Appearing genuinely surprised, Carey responded with, 'Did she go to space?' and followed up with more questions: 'She's like floating? And this is true?' Mariah Carey learning for the first time that Katy Perry went to space on @BBCRadio2. — Pop Crave (@PopCrave) August 7, 2025 Perry, along with Gayle King, Lauren Sánchez, and others, participated in a short Blue Origin space flight on April 14, part of a civilian expedition organized by Jeff Bezos' space company. While in flight, Perry reportedly sang Louis Armstrong's 'What A Wonderful World' and kissed the ground after landing. The trip lasted about 11 minutes and was widely discussed online, with both praise and mockery directed at the group. Despite the widespread media coverage at the time, Carey had no idea the event occurred. Once it was confirmed during the interview, she seemed amused but supportive: 'Wow, alright Katy. I'm not mad at her. That's pretty amazing.' However, when asked if she'd consider space travel herself, the Grammy winner gave a definitive answer: 'I think I've done enough.' Perry later responded to mixed reactions surrounding her spaceflight on Instagram, reassuring fans that she was fine and emphasizing the importance of staying true to herself. Speaking to Elle in April, she shared that going to space had been a personal dream for nearly two decades. While Perry fulfilled a lifelong goal by venturing briefly beyond Earth, Carey made it clear she's content keeping her feet firmly on the ground—albeit still in her own orbit of pop culture influence.

Machine Gun Kelly shares details about diet including water fasts: "I'll eat a couple times a week'

Machine Gun Kelly has drawn concern from fans after revealing details about his current eating habits. In a video interview posted by Instagram account HipHop-N-More, the 35-year-old said, 'I don't really eat. I just do water a bunch.' When asked by a group of men if he fasts, the artist confirmed with a nod. He explained, 'Like, I ate that burger 'cause we're streaming, and it's my man's s–t, you know?' When asked what he would have eaten otherwise, he replied, 'Probably water.' MGK then clarified his regular routine: 'Yeah, sometimes. I'll eat, like, a couple times a week.' He elaborated that his meals typically consist of 'bone broth with kimchi and sauerkraut,' citing their probiotic content. He added that he occasionally drinks celery juice and coconut water, and also stated, 'Coffee and cigarettes' are part of his daily intake. Kimchi and sauerkraut are fermented foods known for containing probiotics but are low in essential macronutrients. Bone broth is often consumed for its mineral and collagen content but is not a complete source of nutrition. MGK, who shares two children with Emma Cannon and Megan Fox, also celebrated one year of sobriety in August 2024. Reactions to his remarks online included comments expressing concern around disordered eating and malnourishment.
