Bad Bunny Reveals His Favorite Places In Puerto Rico In His Lyrics—Here's How To Visit

Forbesa day ago
Bad Bunny shouts out Rincón, Puerto Rico for its world-class waves. Discover Puerto Rico
'Se ve lindo hasta en Google Maps,' says Bad Bunny of his native Puerto Rico in his song 'Me Fui de Vacaciones:' Puerto Rico looks beautiful even on Google Maps. If there 's one thread tying together every diverse piece of the musical career of Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, better known as Bad Bunny, it has been his love for his island.
Now, as fan flock to Puerto Rico to experience Bad Bunny's 30-show No me quiero ir de aqui summer residency, they don't need to look any further than the artist's own lyrics to plan their visit from Puerto Rico from start to finish.
Visitors be warned: Bad Bunny has long maintained that there are some spots on the island that he is keeping to himself. 'Lo mejor nunca se sube... si pongo el location, ya no e' un secret spot.' Translation: the best is never uploaded; because if I add the location, it is no longer a secret spot. However, Bad Bunny has left enough clues in his lyrics to set fans up for the Puerto Rico vacation of a lifetime, whether they're headed to the beach before his concert or for a warm weather getaway once summer ends.
The Santurce neighborhood of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Discover Puerto Rico
Cool, colorful Santurce is one of the largest neighborhoods in San Juan, packed with art galleries, shops, bars and restaurants that make it one of the liveliest spots in the city. While there's plenty to see and do in one of Bad Bunny's favorite neighborhoods, most visitors head straight to Calle Loiza to check out murals and street art, or the stately Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico, which boasts an impressive collection of the island's best.
Make sure to head to La Placita de Santurce as night falls, for 'un perreo sucio en la Placita,' recommends Bad Bunny in 'Te Boté - Remix.' A market by day, the area is packed with some of the best bars and restaurants in the city, but as night falls, it alights with music and dancing. Stop for a drink at La Penúltima, named to the World's 50 Best Discovery list for it's inventive, island-inspired cocktails, before stopping at La Alcapurria Quemá for Puerto Rican staple dishes like mofongo, alcapurrias, and carne frita.
Bad Bunny compares Puerto Rico's Palomino Island to the Maldives. Discover Puerto Rico Palomino Island 'Pichea Maldiva', yo me quedo en Palomino' - 'El Apagón,' Un Verano Sin Ti
'Forget the Maldives, I'm staying in Palomino,' says Bad Bunny on one of his most popular tracks off his fourth album. It's a fitting word of praise for an island that puts even the dreamiest tropical paradise to shame. Take a short boat ride from Fajardo on the island's east coast and within minutes, the tiny 100-acre island of Palomino Island comes into view, little more than stretches of white sand, a fringe of feathery palms, and expanses of impossibly blue sea.
Nowadays, Palomino is only accessible via El Conquistador Resort, which sits facing the island on the Puerto Rican mainland. The resort offers guests boat transportation to and from the island throughout the day, along with beach chairs and cabanas, gear for water sports and snorkeling, and a bar and grill serving up beachside fare all day.
Fifty Eight is a nightclub located in San Juan's La Concha Resort, a legendary destination mentioned specifically in the lyrics of Bad Bunny and countless other Spanish-language musicians. Condado Collection Fifty Eight 'Ayer te vieron dizque en Fifty Eight con otro tipo' - 'Yo No Soy Celoso,' Un Verano Sin Ti
Hidden away within the lower level of a beach front resort in San Juan's sexy Condado neighborhood, Fifty Eight is nothing less than a mythical destination among fans of reguetón and Latin trap music. This pulsing nightclub is has been mentioned by name by everyone who can get their hands on a mic these days, from Feid and Ozuna to Bad Bunny and Jhayco, who has an entire song named about the spot. Eagle-eyed fans can even spot it's unmistakable light-paneled ceiling and stages in the background of countless music videos starring San Juan's creative elite.
Partying the night away at Fifty Eight is just one reason to visit La Concha Resort these days. Long considered one of the coolest places to stay in San Juan, it's better than ever after a top-to-toe facelift that updated and expanded rooms, introduced the brand new Elemara Spa & Salon, and added dining options like hand-rolled sushi at Tekka Bar and fresh seafood at Levant by the Michelin-starred Chef Michael White.
Isabela is known as one of Puerto Rico's most beautiful beach towns. Discover Puerto Rico Isabela 'Puedo ver el paraíso llegando a Isabela' - 'Me Fui de Vacaciones,' Un Verano Sin Ti
If Bad Bunny calls it paradise itself, you know it has to be good. Located on the northern coast of Puerto Rico, Isabela is home to what is considered one of the best beaches in Puerto Rico: Playa Jobos. While this long stretch of golden sand is undeniably stunning, Isabela has so much more to offer than just a singular beach, with its serene, small-town vibe making it a favorite getaway destination from San Juan.
Playa Jobos appeals to surfers and swimmers alike, with sections of the beach offering choppier, wavier conditions and others perfectly peaceful and ideal for families. There's not a single oversized beach resort here, and that's a major part of Isabela's appeal; instead, boutique inns, beachfront rentals and even camping facilities in nearby Guajataca State Forest make it a more accessible destination for visitors, especially those who just spent all their savings on concert tickets.
Mayagüez is the unofficial capital of Puerto Rico's west coast. Discover Puerto Rico Mayagüez 'Mañana en Aljibe y me quedo por el Maya' - 'Dos Mil 16,' Un Verano Sin Ti
Considered the western 'capital' of Puerto Rico, the city of Mayagüez is a colonial marvel brimming with charm, beautiful beaches, shopping and plenty to keep visitors busy, whether they're here at the recommendation of Bad Bunny or otherwise.
Mayagüez boasts is own beautiful city center, but most visitors head straight for its beaches upon arrival. North is Rincón and Crash Boat Beach, both known for their surfing, and Rincón even earning a shoutout from Martínez Ocasio in his song 'El Apagón.' To the south, Boquerón with its blissful beaches, yet another one of the island's beautiful stretches of sand to earn a mention in the singer's 'Me Fui de Vacaciones.'
Great snorkeling and diving can be found around the island, but Mayagüez is known as the start for the excursion to Isla Desecheo, an uninhabited island off the coast with beautiful marine life and coral formations. It is known for having some of the best underwater visibility in Puerto Rico.
Bad Bunny's most streamed song, Dákiti may be named after a bay on the island of Culebra. Discover Puerto Rico Dákiti 'Dákiti,' El Último Tour Del Mundo
With well over two billion listens on Spotify, 'Dákiti' is Bad Bunny's most streamed song. Despite the song's unrivaled popularity, the inspiration behind the Dákiti title remains a bit of a mystery to fans, who have been quick to identify a few key spots in Puerto Rico with a similar name.
Some say the song is named after a small stretch of beach in Old San Juan, or even a tiny bar in the same neighborhood with the same name. However, others think it refers to Bahía Dákiti, a crystal-clear bay on the island of Culebra off of mainland Puerto Rico.
Dákiti Bay sits at the mouth of the entrance to this tiny, white-sand island, a popular getaway destination for locals and savvy visitors alike who know that the island is home to gems like Playa Flamenco, considered one of the best beaches in the entire Caribbean.
Whether you head all the way to Culebra to visit the famed Dákiti Bay in person or don't get any further than Old San Juan, it's part of a Bad Bunny-themed pilgrimage you won't want to miss this summer.

'Happy Gilmore 2' Cameos: From Travis Kelce to Post Malone

'Happy Gilmore 2' releases on Netflix July 25, and the Adam Sandler-starring sequel is filled with familiar faces left and right. While Sandler reprises his role as the titular golfer alongside other returners Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin, Ben Stiller as Hal L and Julie Bowen as Virginia Gilmore, the entire film is peppered with actors, athletes, musicians, and icons both new and returning to the franchise. More from Variety Adam Sandler Remembers Cameron Boyce In Subtle 'Happy Gilmore 2' Tribute Adam Sandler's Secret Weapon: This 'Happy Gilmore 2' Writer Shaped Decades of Comedy and Earned $3 Billion at the Box Office 'Happy Gilmore 2' Launches With Tie-In Golf Video Game on Netflix From Travis Kelce playing a hotel waiter to Steve Buscemi dancing around as an eccentric neighbor, to Eminem dropping by for a bit of heckling and countless professional golfers filling each frame, here is a guide to all of the cameos throughout the new slapstick sports comedy. Benny Safdie as Frank ManateeWhile Benny Safdie's villainous role in 'Happy Gilmore 2' might be too large to be called a cameo, his appearance in the film still feels like a winking nod to cinephile audiences. Fans will know that Benny and Josh Safdie directed Sandler in the 2019 thriller 'Uncut Gems,' bringing recognition to Sandler as a dramatic actor and forging a fruitful creative collaboration. Bad Bunny as Oscar MejíasCredited as Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, rapper, singer and record producer Bad Bunny stars alongside Sandler as Oscar, Happy's new caddie. Although sometimes slow and completely oblivious to the sport of golf, Oscar has a heart of gold and Bad Bunny brings him to life with unmistakable charm. Travis Kelce as the WaiterPerhaps the most highly anticipated cameo in 'Happy Gilmore 2,' the Chiefs' tight end appears in several scenes as a brown-nosing club waiter. An antagonistic rival to Bad Bunny's character, the waiter gets his comeuppance at the end of the film with a memorable scene involving a shirtless Kelce, a jar of honey and a hungry bear. John Daly as HimselfOf all the professional golfers that appear in 'Happy Gilmore 2,' John Daly may get the most screentime (or at least the most impactful screentime). With little explanation, he shows up in the beginning of the film as a neighbor of Happy's and later moves into the house. He plays an uncle-like character in Happy's family and has stellar comedic chemistry with the rest of the cast. Ken Jennings as Himself Early in the film, Happy is surprised to see himself as an answer on an episode of 'Jeopardy.' The presence of Ken Jennings on television provides an aura of authenticity, as the game-show host provides Happy's name to his stumped contestants. Steve Buscemi as the NeighborGiven that Buscemi has previously appeared in 'Billy Madison,' 'Big Daddy' and 'Grown Ups,' among other Adam Sandler movies, it's no surprise that he pops up in 'Happy Gilmore 2.' This time, he plays a neighbor who dances on his porch and in the streets near Happy's house. It's weird and random and exactly what one would expect out of this legendary character actor. Post Malone as DJ Omar GoshDuring the film's climax, the final tournament commentators are joined by a lavishly dressed fictional celebrity called DJ Omar Gosh. He's played by actual musical artist Post Malone, who fans will undoubtedly recognize despite all his accessories. Eminem as Donald the original 'Happy Gilmore,' the late Joe Flaherty played Donald: a heckler hired to antagonize Happy by yelling 'Jackass' during his backswing. In the sequel, rapper Eminem takes up the mantle as Donald's son, who yells the same slander in a pivotal and hilarious scene. This is the second time Sandler and Eminem have shared the frame, as the two also riffed to spectacular comedic effect in 2009's 'Funny People.' Will Zalatoris as Himself / Grown-Up Blonde CaddieProfessional golfer Will Zalatoris appears as more than just himself in 'Happy Gilmore 2.' It's eventually revealed that he is the grown-up version of the young blonde caddie that Happy chokes out in the first film. Still angry with Happy for his violent outburst, Zalatoris has grown up to be a rival of Happy's on the golf course. Scottie Scheffler as HimselfAnother professional golfer who was conspicuously present throughout the story, Scottie Scheffler golfs alongside Happy up through the film's championship tournament. Framed as a partner and ally to Happy on the green, he brings a sense of realism to Happy's team. Bubba Watson as HimselfUnlike Scheffler, professional golfer Bubba Watson aligns himself with the enemy golf team in 'Happy Gilmore 2.' He's often seen sharing the screen with Haley Joel Osment's character, a golfer who's undergone an operation to enhance his swing and advance the new rival league. Seth Waugh as HimselfSeth Waugh served as CEO of the PGA for six years up through 2024. Like the athletes in the film, Waugh brings authenticity to the world of 'Happy Gilmore 2,' playing himself and overseeing the on-screen competition. Boban Marjanović as Drago LarsonIn the first 'Happy Gilmore,' giant character actor Richard Kiel played Mr. Larson, Happy's tall, intimidating, but lovable boss. Naturally, Serbian basketball player Boban Marjanović plays Larson's son, Drago, in the sequel. Standing three inches taller than Kiel at 7'3', Marjanović appears in a scene towards the end of the film for a heartfelt and humorous encounter with Happy. Guy Fieri as Tournament StarterWith frosted tips and sunglasses, Guy Fieri is unmistakable as the championship tournament starter in 'Happy Gilmore 2.' He brings his signature energy to the small part, rousing up the crowd ahead of the film's climax. Assorted Sports CommentatorsAs he was in the first 'Happy Gilmore,' real-life golf commentator Verne Lundquist returns to the sequel to announce the film's final tournament. However, he is just one of many sports commentators and analysts to grace the film. Across montages and key scenes, Stephen A. Smith, Chris Berman, and Jim Gray all appear to lend their expertise on Happy's return to the green. An Unlikely Trio of Golfers Early in the film, before Happy returns to the pros, he plays a round of golf with a group of regular people. Oddly enough, those 'regular people' are played by Eric André, Margaret Qualley and Martin Herlihy. These three sharing a scene — let alone a green — with Adam Sandler may not have been on anyone's bingo card for 'Happy Gilmore 2,' but the sequence is filled with memorable moments and laughs aplenty. Unlikely FBI PartnersAt the end of the film, a team of FBI agents raid Hal L's Alcoholics Anonymous front. Leading that team are an unlikely duo of Scott Mescudi (a.k.a. rapper Kid Cudi) and Sarah Sarandos (a.k.a. the daughter of Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos). Of all the surprise appearances in the film, this might be the least expected. The Sandler FamilyAdam Sandler is no stranger to filling his movies with his friends, but in 'Happy Gilmore 2,' he leans more into family. Both of his daughters, Sunny and Sadie Sandler, have prominent roles, the former portraying Happy's daughter Vienna Gilmore, who is his muse for returning to the golf course. Otherwise, Sandler's wife Jackie plays Vienna's dance instructor and his mother and mother-in-law also make small appearances. The Stiller FamilyAdam Sandler wasn't the only star to bring his kids into the cast of 'Happy Gilmore 2.' Ben Stiller's children Ella and Quinn both have minor roles in the film. Ella plays a liquor store cashier who Happy has a confrontation with and Quinn plays one of the caddies. NHL GuestsProfessional golfers aren't the only real-world athletes represented in 'Happy Gilmore 2.' Former NHL players Chris Chelios and Sean Avery also make appearances as a pair of henchmen. Because Happy has origins on the ice, it's only natural that the film bring in some hockey stars to play a couple intimidating goons. Copious Comedians in Bit PartsA handful of Adam Sandler regulars and other comedians come and go throughout 'Happy Gilmore 2.' Jon Lovitz shows up for a humorous scene on a driving range; Nick Swardson appears in a flashback sequence; Jim Downey plays a tournament starter; and Marcello Hernandez plays Esteban, an eccentric second to Bad Bunny's caddie who's willing to do shifty tasks for a quick buck. Also, Rob Schneider rides by during a fantasy montage, yelling his signature line, 'You can do it!' More Professional GolfersIn addition to John Daly, Scottie Scheffler, Bubba Watson and Will Zalatoris, an abundance of current and former professional golfers populate 'Happy Gilmore 2.' In scenes in the clubhouse and on the course, Jack Nicklaus, Keegan Bradley, Fred Couples, Bryson Dechambeau, Sir Nick Faldo, Tony Finau, Rickie Fowler, Jim Furyk, Sergio Garcia, Charles Howell III, Brooks Koepka, Hunter Mahan, Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, Corey Pavin, Xander Schauffele, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Lee Trevino and Charley Hull all appear as themselves. In MemoriamLastly, 'Happy Gilmore 2' pays homage to its predecessor. While many clips and characters from the original film appear in flashbacks, Carl Weathers' Chubbs, Frances Bay's Grandma Gilmore, and Bob Barker all get nods in a scene where Happy and Shooter cross paths at a cemetery. Given that the actors who portrayed these three staples of the first film are all deceased, highlighting their characters' names on their respective tombstones provides them a pointed sendoff. Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki and wife Caitlin share intimate wedding photos: 'Just the two of us, forever'

The couple tied the knot earlier in June during a ceremony in Turks and Caicos. The wife of Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki is reflecting on one of the most romantic days of her life. On Sunday, the 25-year-old shared several photos and videos from her intimate beachside wedding in Turks and Caicos last month. "Just the two of us, forever," she captioned an initial post. She paired her words with a dove emoji and her wedding date, which was on Monday, June 9, 2025. That post first featured a photo of herself and Nick, 25, holding hands and walking away from the camera, as she looked back over her shoulder with her veil draping down to the ground. The other pictures in the carousel showed off parts of the beach, one-on-one moments with her NHLer husband as well as his-and-hers vow booklets with their rings. Caitlin continued to shared a couple other posts from her stunning destination wedding, including a glam-shot video from a hair and makeup appointment for her cocktail bridal party. In the clip, hair artist Vanessa Wehbe showed off Caitlin's glamorous makeup look and immaculately-curled hair. A third post showed off the couple's "night before" in Turks and Caicos, where they spent the evening on a chartered catamaran. They took an intimate photoshoot on board, where they embraced in various poses and outfits on the boat. A couple shots featured Caitlin wearing a strapless white dress with her blonde locks tied in a ponytail, and Nick opting for a seafoam blue polo shirt and white pants. Another snapshot showed Caitlin wearing a white long-sleeve mini dress, with Nick changing into a white shirt and light khaki shorts. In all of the posts, fans raved over the beauty of the event and how stunning the couple looked during their beachside festivities. Others shared their congratulations to the newlyweds and expressed how they're still celebrating the duo. "Forever obsessed," wrote fellow Montreal Canadiens WAG Emma Fortin, who's married to Brendan Gallagher. "Gorgeous. Congratulations!" added Alexa Dobson, who recently married Montreal Canadiens defenceman Noah Dobson. "She hit us with so much in one day," joked Paola Anderson, who's married to Montreal Canadiens player Josh Anderson. "I'm so obsessed, no words at all," someone chimed in. "Actually never getting over these!!! Wow," someone else penned. Caitlin also took to her Instagram Stories to re-share numerous photos and videos — some of which had black-and-white filters — that wedding guests had posted on their accounts from the reception. That included clips from their first dance and other photos the couple had taken. Nick and Caitlin first connected through social media around 2016 or 2017. They had previously known of each other through mutual friends in London, Ont., and eventually Nick proposed in 2024 during a trip to the Dominican Republic. This past January, Caitlin took to social media to share footage from her bachelorette bash in Aspen, Colo. "The girlies take on Aspen part 1," she captioned a post on Jan. 5. The following month, she made an appearance on the "Never Offside" podcast hosted by Julie Petry, wife of Detroit Red Wings defenceman Jeff Petry, and Cat Toffoli, wife of San Jose Sharks alternate captain Tyler Toffoli. In an episode posted on Feb. 4, Caitlin opened up more about her relationship with Nick, her role as an NHL wife and her then-upcoming wedding "I've never dreamed of a wedding. I've dreamed of the person I'm going to marry, but I'm not a wedding person," she explained at the time. But thinking of having all of her loved ones in one room had pushed her to excitement over the big day: "To have everyone in one space together is my dream come true. ... I know it's going to be so much fun, so I'm really looking forward to that."

Pons (full name Eleonora Pons Maronese) and Guaynaa (real name Jean Carlos Santiago Pérez) shared the happy news on Instagram, confirming their daughter was born on 26 July.
