Family Law Season 4 Set for Summer Premiere on The CW — Get Details
Jewel Staite and spy law daddy Victor Garber will practice more Family Law when Season 4 of the series airs Stateside on The CW this summer.
Specifically, Family Law's 10-episode fourth season will launch Wednesday, July 23 at 8/7c — more than 16 months after the Season 3 finale aired here in the U.S.

As Season 4 kicks off, 'Abigail's (played by Staite) home, work and romantic life are up in flames,' the official synopsis tells us. 'Her boyfriend Ben (Benjamin Ayres) has fallen off the wagon, Sofia (Eden Summer Gilmore) has written a devastating essay about her mother's alcoholism, and Harry (Garber) has passed her over for equity partnership.
'Abby decides to give Ben a second chance – though it only leads to more disappointment,' the overview continues. 'Later, sparks fly when she meets someone new and unexpected, but is she ready to date again?'
'Professionally, Abby's concerns about a major development at the firm are ignored, forcing her to make a decision that sends shockwaves through the office – and her family. Meanwhile, Harry and Joanne (Lauren Holly) manage their breakup poorly, until they both have experiences that make them reevaluate what truly matters. At work, Harry's plan for a lucrative merger with a rival law office looks like a sure thing until it forces him to make an impossible choice.'
Additionally, 'Daniel (Zach Smadu) mourns the end of his 'relationship' with Martina (Miranda Edwards) by having a one-night stand, and his life is further turned upside down when Jude shares life-changing news with him. Lucy (Genelle Williams) ends her relationship with the manipulative Kelly (Aliyah O'Brien), but the break-up leaves her wracked with self-doubt – until she's upfront about her insecurities on a podcast, which leads to exciting opportunities and possible romance.'
Family Law Season 4's awaited Stateside premiere date comes one week after The CW announced it had picked up two seasons of Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent, and with the netlet yet to make a decision on airing Season 3 (or even 4) of Wild Cards, which recently got a 2x renewal in Canada.
Family Law Season 4 has yet to air in Canada, though I am told that news on that front may arrive in the coming weeks.

Some context: The bulk of Season 8 filming wrapped in September 2024, though several cast members filmed reshoots shortly after. And in March 2025, series star Sam Heughan announced via Instagram that he'd just finished 'the last ADR' (aka re-recording dialogue that wasn't captured clearly during filming) on the series finale. Yes, Season 8 will be the time-travel drama's final run of episodes. Starz announced the series' ending in January 2023. 'It's been an incredible journey,' Heughan said in a video released at the time of the announcement. 'Thank you so much for being with us since Day 1,' series star Caitríona Balfe added. Since its start, Outlander has covered roughly one book in Diana Gabaldon's novel series per season. So it reasons that Season 8 would follow the events of Book 8, Written in My Own Heart's Blood. However, given that Gabladon has published Book 9 (Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone) and is working on Book 10, there's a good chance Season 8 will include storylines from all of the above. Co-showrunner Matthew B. Roberts says the guidelines for Season 8 were 'Nothing that doesn't affect Jamie and Claire gets in. It's gotta affect Jamie and Claire. All the main characters do — they're a part of it — but that's the drive. There's so many aspects. I mean, they're all big books. There's things where you kind of go over here, and you go over here — that's what makes the books so readable and fun. But when you have 10 episodes, you have to stay literally on track.' One plot that is not in the novels but will be addressed at the top of the final season: The Season 7 finale cliffhanger of whether Claire and Jamie's daughter, Faith, somehow survived what we thought was her stillbirth in Season 2. Roberts promises that fans will have that point cleared up 'visually' in the upcoming season. On the MacKenzie side of things, might Brianna and Roger have another baby in Season 8, like they do in Go Tell the Bees? 'As you know, we sometimes stick to the books, and we sometimes don't,' Skelton told TVLine coyly in February. 'But I think it would be great if they had another child. And wearing the fake pregnancy bumps is super fun, so sign me up.' Though Starz has not yet released an official cast list, we have it on good authority that Heughan, Balfe, Sophie Skelton, Richard Rankin, John Bell, Charles Vandervaart and David Berry will be back for the final season. Someone who won't return for the series' swan song is Kristen Atherton, who played Jamie's sister, Jenny, in Season 7. Though Jenny eventually joins her brother and his family in America in the novels, Roberts said time constraints meant making some tough cuts for Season 8. 'With 10 episodes,' he explained, 'there's a lot less you can do.' Along those lines, Tobias Menzies — who played Claire's husband, Frank, and his villainous forebear Jonathan 'Black Jack' Randall — also will not return, TVLine reported exclusively in March 2024. 'They're going to bring it home magnificently, I'm sure,' Menzies added. You'll be able to watch Outlander Season 8 on Starz and the Starz app. Starz has not yet released a trailer for Season 8. 9-1-1: Nashville Adds Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost and 2 Others to Cast — See Who Everyone Is Playing
9-1-1: Nashville is filling out its ranks with four new cast additions: Hailey Kilgore (Power Book III: Raising Kanan), Michael Provost (The Sex Lives of College Girls), Juani Feliz (Harlem) and influencer Hunter McVey have all joined ABC's 9-1-1 offshoot in series-regular roles, TVLine has learned. Kilgore, a Grammy and Tony Award nominee, will play firefighter Taylor, who also happens to be an incredible singer; Provost will play modern-day cowboy Ryan, also a firefighter; Feliz will play former trauma surgeon (and current adrenaline junkie) Cammi; and McVey will play a haunted bad boy who has since become a firefighter. Country singer LeAnn Rimes and Kimberly Williams-Paisley (Nashville) have also been cast in undisclosed roles. Though a specific series premiere date has not yet been announced by ABC, we know that 9-1-1: Nashville will air Thursdays at 9/8c this fall, sandwiched between new episodes of 9-1-1 at 8 pm and Grey's Anatomy at 10 pm. TV's erstwhile Dr. Ross speaks highly of Dr. Robby: During an appearance on Monday's Late Night With Seth Meyers, George Clooney sang ER co-star Noah Wyle's praises, marveling at his performance in the Max medical drama The Pitt. 'Have you guys seen that show?' Clooney asked Meyers' audience. 'It's so good, and I have to say: We've been really dear friends since [ER] — since we did the pilot of the show. He is just the most honorable, talented young man, [which] I get to say because I'm an old man, and I cannot be happier for his success on the show. 'We used to do these things called oners,' he recalled. 'You've got to get 12 pages of dialogue out and nobody can screw up, or you have to start all over again.
