Ananya Panday's cousin Ahaan was transported to hospital in a thermocol box after being born 42 days premature: ‘It's a filmy story'
Actor Ananya Panday's cousin, Ahaan Panday, is all set to make his debut in the film business with an upcoming romantic drama directed by Mohit Suri for Aditya Chopra's YRF. In her latest vlog, Ahaan's sister, social media influencer Alanna Panday, chatted with their mother Deanne about their birth. Deanne, who is married to Chunky Panday's brother, Chikki Pandey, spoke about the horror she experienced while giving birth to Ahaan. She said that she was rushed to the hospital at the insistence of her in-laws, and was immediately given an emergency C-section because Ahaan was arriving over 40 days premature.
Alanna said in her vlog that she gets 'anxiety' every time she hears Ahaan's birth story. 'She's never told this story publicly, and it's so scary,' she said, allowing her mother to recall the experience in her own words. Deanne said, 'Around 42 days before my due date, my water bags started leaking a little bit. And then it happened again, so we woke up dadi, and she called up a doctor, who said, 'Take her to the hospital right now'.'

She continued, 'They did a sonography, all the water had come out by then, and Ahaan was in one corner, curled up. They took me to an emergency C-section, and when they got Ahaan out, he was as small as a rat. They took him away, and I passed out. When I woke up, I asked, 'Where is my child', and they told me that he'd been taken to the NICU in another hospital. I demanded that they take me there, even though I'd just been stitched up.'
Alanna said, 'Mom missed a part. Ahaan was transported in a cooler. A thermocol box! This was back in the day, like 25 years ago. It's such a filmy story'. Deanne added, 'It was literally like a film story, they wrapped him up in a cloth, put him in the box, and dadi and nani rushed him to Nanavati… They were keeping me away from my child, and I went down in a wheelchair, a lot of pain, and they took me to the room…' She said that she noticed a little stick on the baby's leg, because he'd suffered a hairline fracture. 'This is what Ahaan has been through. I spent 10 days in hospital feeding him,' she said.
Alanna said that Ahaan is now 6 feet 3 inches tall, and she's the tiny one despite having had a regular birth. Ahaan is set to make his acting debut in a movie titled Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri. The film also stars Aneet Padda, and will be released in July.

‘I wasn't deported': US-returned techie now sells rajma chawal in Mohali. Watch
After spending three years in the United States, working in the IT space, Maninder Singh has returned to the motherland. Instead of an office job, however, Singh has chosen a more offbeat career path - the US-returned techie is now selling street food in Mohali. A video featuring Singh and his food stall was shared on the popular Instagram channel 'Foodler'. Omar, the content creator behind the channel, told that Singh returned to India in January and now runs a food stall in Mohali, Punjab. In the video, Singh whipped out his driving license from New York as proof that he once lived in the Big Apple. He explained that he has 12 years of total work experience in tech, retail, call centres and IT. It was a tech job that took Singh to his United States. He was in the country for three years. After the death of his father, however, Singh moved back to India. 'No, I wasn't deported,' he clarified in the video. Singh and his wife now run a food stall in the popular 3B2 market of Mohali. She does all the cooking, while he sets up the stall and sells the food. On the day the video was filmed, Singh was selling rajma, chawal, kadhi pakoda, rotis, soya chaap and mango lassi. A post shared by Foodler (@realfoodler) 'I was in the United States for three years. My wife has 20 years of experience in cooking, so we thought of starting a food business. I help her, but she is the one who cooks,' Singh told Omar in the video. 'He started this food joint just 2-3 months back. Right now the income is not fixed as the business is new,' Omar told 'His wife prepares everything in the morning and he starts his work at 1 pm. Around 3 pm, his wife joins him as well.' For many people across the world, settling down in the US is a lifelong dream. In fact, so deeply entrenched is the attraction that many resort to illegal 'Dunki' routes or cross borders illegally to reach the US. Maninder Singh, however, has no wish to return to the US. 'He told me that it might look interesting for people to visit or stay in the US, but he loves his home and would not want to go back to the US again even if he gets another chance,' Omar told Instead, the small business owner wants to expand his menu and add new dishes, eventually hoping to turn a profit.

Just two years after his debut with the group, he began his career as a soloist, releasing his single titled P.D.D. (Please Don't Die). It was a collaboration with American rapper Warren G.
