Former Orlando Pirates star joining new club

Where could the former Orlando Pirates striker Gabadinho Mhango be moving to next?
According to Mike Makaab, the former Orlando Pirates player's agent, the 32-year-old Malawian is saying goodbye to Marumo Gallants.
'I can tell you that Gabadinho Mhango will leave Marumo Gallants at the end of the season and join a new club,' Makaab told FARPost without revealing the next destination.
'When you look at Mhango and how he has performed at his club, he has given it his all, but he will definitely leave at the end of the season.'

Kaizer Chiefs XI next season with Mako, Salum, Appollis, Okon, Mayele

Kaizer Chiefs are looking to bolster all departments of their playing personnel this winter. Is this how their XI could look? Tanzanian goal-scoring midfielder Feisal Salum is a long-standing target. Meanwhile, Chiefs are contemplating moves for out-of-contract Orlando Pirates stars Thabiso Monyane and Paseka Mako. Bvuma; Miguel, Okon, Dortley, Mako; Cele, Salum; Lilepo, Duba, Appollis; Mayele. This exciting-looking XI would see Inacio Miguel shifted to a slightly unfamiliar right-back role, although the Angolan has played there before. A central pairing of Ime Okon and the hopefully fit-again Rushwin Dortley would have a combined age of only 44. Paseka Mako could prove to be a shrewd addition even if he only has two years left at the top level. Further up the pitch, Feisal Salum, Oswin Appollis and Fiston Mayele add goal-threat galore. Kaizer Chiefs top brass make their move for exciting young defender Pyramids striker Fiston Mayele. Image: Sydney Mahlangu/BackpagePix According to SABC Sport, 31-year-old Paseka Mako is in advanced talks with Kaizer Chiefs over a winter move. Stellenbosch full-back Fawaaz Basadien was initially their first choice. However, the Winelands club is reluctant to sell the Bafana man, whom they see as an indispensable member of their squad. It's somewhat of a surprise that Pirates let go of Mako. The nifty left-back made 26 appearances in the 2024-2025 campaign. Meanwhile, 34-year-old Deon Hotto faces an uncertain long-term future. 'Nabi is the Pep Guardiola of Africa' Is this an XI that can challenge for the league title? Let us know by leaving a comment below or sending a WhatsApp to 060 011 0211. Kaizer Chiefs target gets on the score sheet

Kaizer Chiefs have expressed an interest in two talented SuperSport United defenders. Can they pull off an audacious move? 21-year-old Ime Okon is already a pillar in defence for Matsatsantsa. Chiefa are also looking at left-back Aphiwe Baliti. Kabelo Dlamini scored from the penalty spot and Ime Okon rose highest to plant a header in the back of the net as South Africa claimed a key 2-0 win over Zimbabwe in the COSAFA Cup. 'We wanted to respond with intent, and the boys showed character,' Vmanager ela Khumalo said post-match, as quoted in a recent X update from the South African Football Association. 'We showed resilience and took our chances when it mattered,' Okon told reporters. 'Orlando Pirates are emptying the recycling bin now' Recent reports linked Chiefs with a move for versatile 23-year-old Aphiwe Baliti. Now, outstanding central defender Ime Okon is the next name on their wish list. His contract with Matsatsantsa reportedly expires at the end of June 2025. Is Ime Okon the real deal? Bulls have their 50/50 ‘lotto ticket' to URC glory

White says it doesn't matter that the Bulls have beaten Leinster in two semi-finals and in their previous outing – both sides have an equal chance of winning. 'At this point in time there are two teams who have a lotto ticket and have a 50% chance of winning it.' These were the words of Bulls director of rugby Jake White after his team beat the Sharks in their United Rugby Championship semi-final to set up a mouth-watering final against Leinster in Dublin next weekend. The Bulls showed maturity in defence, holding the Sharks off despite receiving three yellow cards in the space of twelve minutes, maintaining their lead throughout the game and winning the all-South African knockout match at Loftus three tries to two (final score 25–13). The Sharks, for their part, rued their mistakes afterwards, which included losing the ball once on the Bulls' try-line and once being held up, both while they had two more players on the field. They also slotted only one kick out of five during the game. They only scored an overlap try due to numerical advantage early in the second half while the Bulls were two men short for just two more minutes. But it was too little, too late as the Bulls weathered the storm to only allow the Sharks to score once more during the game. 'Look what they did to Glasgow' White did not cut a triumphant figure afterwards. Though he was proud, he knew the challenge that lay ahead of them if they were going to win their first of three URC finals. Irish giants Leinster crushed defending champions Glasgow Warriors 37–19 earlier in the day, only allowing respectability on the scoreboard with some late consolation scores for Glasgow. 'Look what they did to Glasgow and Glasgow beat us last year. They didn't struggle to beat Glasgow today and I am sure they will be on a high going into a final at home,' White said. 'We are going to need to work hard, we are going to have to get things working in our favour, we are going to have to recover quickly from injury – bumps and bruises. And then we are going to have to play really well.' 'Ireland' vs the Bulls – to teams with equal chance White said the final looked like an Ireland vs Bulls game, with Leinster being full of Irish internationals and British & Irish Lions players. Plus, South African double World Cup winner RG Snyman, New Zealand star Jordie Barrett and French international Rabah Slimani. 'Whether we try and underplay it, we've got to understand Ireland have beaten the All Blacks, they've beaten many big teams (including the Springboks at the 2023 Rugby Word Cup).' He said the Bulls' record of beating Leinster in four of six head-to-head matches, including last year's semi-final, 2022's semi-final and this season's league match between the two teams, counted for nothing against a side that also had their lotto ticket and 50% chance to win it all this year.
