Bigg Boss 19: Sharad Malhotra Opens Up On Joining Salman Khan's Show, Says 'As Of Now...'
This comes days after it was reported that Sharad Malhotra and Divyanka Tripathi, who were previously in a romantic relationship, have been approached for Bigg Boss 19.
Sharad Malhotra has reacted to reports claiming he will be participating in Bigg Boss 19. In a recent interview, Sharad shared that even though he enjoys watching Salman Khan's controversial reality show, he is not yet sure if he wants to participate in it. However, he also stated that if he ever decides to enter the show, he would inform his fans first.
'As of now main thoda busy hoon apne characters ko leke, mere kuch shoots chal rahe hai. Baatein har saal hoti hai Bigg Boss ko leke, kabhi mujhe laga ki mujhe uss ghar ka hissa banna chahiye toh main sabse pehle aap hi logon ko bataunga," Sharad told Times Now.
Previously, it was reported that Sharad Malhotra and Divyanka Tripathi, who were once also in a romantic relationship, have been approached for Bigg Boss 19. Viral reports claimed that two actors were in talks with the makers of Salman Khan's show and were likely to be confirmed soon. However, Divyanka also called the reports fake and told TellyChakkar, 'They spread such news every year."
Who All Are Participating In Bigg Boss 19?
Every year, fans remain glued to their screens on the Bigg Boss premiere date for the final list of contestants. The speculations, however, begin much earlier. Previously, reports claimed that around 45 celebrities have been approached so far. According to the fan page Bigg Boss Taza Khabar, several television personalities and digital influencers are in talks for the season. Some of the names include Rati Pandey (Miley Jab Hum Tum), Hunar Hali, Apoorva Mukhija (aka The Rebel Kid), Mr Faisu, Dhanashree Verma, Sreeram Chandra, Meera Deosthale, and Bhavika Sharma.
Reportedly, former Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actors, Shailesh Lodha, Gurucharan Singh and Jennifer Mistry have also been approached for Bigg Boss 19. Rapper Raftaar is also likely to join the show.
What Is The Theme Of Bigg Boss 19?
The much-anticipated teaser for Bigg Boss 19 was also released recently. In the teaser, Salman Khan revealed a big twist in this year's theme and shared that season 19 will have 'Gharwalon ki Sarkaar" – signalling a seismic shift in power inside the house. He also promised 'too much fun" and urged everyone to brace themselves. Seen in a sharp Nehru jacket, flanked by black cat commandos, Salman brings his trademark mix of authority and charm to the teaser, embodying the power-play at the heart of this year's theme.
Bigg Boss 19 is slated to premiere on JioHotstar and Colors TV on August 24, 2025.

'Fight sequences used to be created in the films especially for me — 'If Hema Malini is there in the film, we must make her fight.' Whatever character I am playing, there had to be a fight sequence," she revealed. Talking about 'Sholay', Hema Malini added, 'There were action sequences in Sholay as well, but they were mostly while going in the tanga (Horse Cart) — the dacoits are all behind me, chasing me.
