Nissan SUV Snapped Testing
The upcoming C-segment Nissan SUV that has been snapped on test suggests that it will get a sculpted bonnet with a prominent grille that seems to be inspired by the Nissan Patrol, in the front. Also, the overall front fascia appears to carry a flat appeal. On the sides, the Nissan SUV has been seen standing on 5-spoke alloy wheels with flared wheel arches. Overall, this Nissan SUV closely resembles the one that the brand has been teasing for a long time. On the rear, the Nissan C-segment SUV gets rectangular taillights, a raked rear windshield with a roof spoiler, roof rails, and a shark fin antenna.
The interior features and details have not been revealed yet. The upcoming Nissan SUV is liley to carry forward an interior design quite similar to the Renault Duster. Also, the test vehicle suggests that the Nissan SUV misses out on the ADAS features. However, the brand is expected to bring an ADAS suite for the SUV, which will place it in a viable competition with its rivals.
Talking about the powertrain, the Nissan C-Segment SUV is expected to get the petrol engine only. However, the engine spec is unknown for now. Also, the same engine will be available for its Renault sibling.

In tech city, PM Modi calls for tech self-reliance, says India on course to top 3 economies
Describing India as 'the fastest-growing major economy in the world', Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Sunday that it is in the top five globally and is 'rapidly progressing' to 'becoming one of the top three economies'. Addressing a gathering at IIIT-Bangalore emphasised that amidst evolving problems, India's next big priority should be becoming self-reliant in technology and that it was time for Indian tech companies to prioritise the country's own needs. 'Our next big priority should be becoming self-reliant in technology. Indian tech companies have made a mark globally, developing software and products for the entire world. It is now time to prioritise India's own needs more strongly and accelerate the development of new products, especially as software and apps are now being used across every domain,' he said after inaugurating critical mobility infrastructure projects in Bengaluru. He inaugurated the 19.16-km Yellow Line of Bengaluru Metro worth Rs 7,160 crore, thus expanding the city's metro network to 96 km. He also laid the foundation stone of Bengaluru Metro Phase-3 project, worth over Rs 15,610 crore, and flagged off three Vande Bharat Express trains at KSR Railway Station, Bengaluru. Vande Bharat trains were launched between Bengaluru and Belagavi, Nagpur and Pune, and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Amritsar. Modi also took a Metro ride on the newly inaugurated metro line from Ragigudda Metro station to Electronic City station. Modi said it is essential for India to reach new heights in emerging fields. Calling for focused efforts, he stressed the need to strengthen Bengaluru and Karnataka's presence in Make-in-India and the manufacturing sector. Underlining India's economic strides, he said, 'India is currently the fastest-growing major economy in the world. He attributed this momentum to the spirit of 'Reform, Perform and Transform', driven by 'clear intent' and 'honest efforts'. He highlighted that before 2014, India's total exports had reached only $468 billion whereas today, that figure has risen to $824 billion. He also remarked that earlier, India used to import mobile phones, but now, the country is among the top five exporters of mobile handsets. He noted that Bengaluru has played a significant role in this transformation and that India's electronics exports now have increased to nearly $38 billion from $6 billion. He also highlighted that 11 years ago, India's automobile exports stood at approximately $16 billion and that figure has more than doubled, making India the fourth-largest automobile exporter globally. Acknowledging the contribution of the youth of Bengaluru and Karnataka in Operation Sindoor, Modi highlighted the success of Indian forces in the operation, noting their capability to destroy terrorist hideouts deep across the border. He attributed the success of Operation Sindoor to the power of technology and the strength of Make-in-India in the defence sector. New Delhi: India, the fastest-growing major economy in the world, is rapidly moving towards becoming one of the top three global economies, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, speaking at the launch of infrastructure projects in Bengaluru. 'India is currently the fastest-growing major economy in the world. In the past 11 years, India's economy has risen from the 10th position to the top five globally, and is rapidly progressing toward becoming one of the top three economies,' said Modi while inaugurating a metro line in Bengaluru. He also laid the foundation of three metro projects in Bengaluru, worth more than ₹ 15,000 crore, according to a statement by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). Modi said Bengaluru has played a significant part in making India a top exporter of mobile phones, having previously been an will aid the country's progress, said Modi, noting that through initiatives like the India AI Mission, India is advancing toward global AI leadership. He added that the Semiconductor Mission is also gaining momentum, and India will soon have its own Made-in-India chip, and that India has become a global example of low-cost, high-tech space missions.'Our next big priority should be becoming self-reliant in technology,' said Modi, adding that India should produce more software and applications for its needs. In what was his first visit to the capital of Karnataka since Operation Sindoor, Modi attributed the nation's success in the conflict to technological prowess developed due to the government's mission of self-reliance in the defence sector and to Karnataka and Bengaluru's contribution in this effort. Defence minister Rajnath Singh, speaking at a separate event on Sunday, also said the Indian forces used indigenously developed weapons to run an effective Operation Sindoor, according to a ministry statement. Speaking in Madhya Pradesh, laying the foundation stone for the BEML Rail Hub for Manufacturing, the defence minister said India's defence exports in FY25 reached a record ₹ 23,622 crore, and defence production soared to an all-time high of ₹ 1.51 trillion. Chief of defence staff (CDS) Anil Chauhan also said the synergy between the army, navy, and air force was crucial in the success of Op Sindoor, according to a defence ministry statement. Speaking to army trainees in Secunderabad on Sunday, CDS Chauhan said comprehensive capability development is paramount, along with an in-depth understanding of the transformative changes being pursued in the military to deal with the disruptive changes in technology-driven modern warfare. Modi, in May, said Operation Sindoor has set the new normal on India's response to future terror attacks, while introducing a new doctrine on retaliating in such cases. As part of a three-pronged doctrine, India will retaliate against terrorist attacks on its own terms, not tolerate nuclear blackmail, and not differentiate between terrorists and the governments harbouring them, Modi said. The prime minister's televised address came after India and Pakistan agreed to stop a four-day combat from 7-10 May that had quickly escalated. The conflict started after India attacked terrorist targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir as retaliation for the 22 April terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
