Ivo launches AI tools to transform contract analysis & insight

Ivo has announced the launch of two AI-native products designed to automate contract analysis and streamline the extraction of insights from legal agreements.
Legal teams have traditionally depended on contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools to store and manage agreements. However, extracting meaningful data from these systems often involved the manual review of large volumes of documents, with significant time and resource investment required.
The latest offering from Ivo consists of Repository and Assistant, both powered by the company's proprietary AI Repository Engine (AiRE). The tools are positioned to provide visibility into organisation-wide contract portfolios and allow users to submit plain language queries to gain immediate access to relevant contract information.
Product features
Repository enables the creation of dashboards with custom AI-populated columns, presenting key business and legal insights rapidly. According to Ivo, the platform's AI is capable of clustering related documents, such as amendments linked to master agreements, and can assess the extent to which specific agreements diverge from established standard templates.
The Assistant product offers the capability for both legal and business teams to query tens of thousands of contracts using natural language, retrieving comprehensive answers regardless of the contract file's storage location. The underlying AI can respond to detailed questions, for example, identifying all customer contracts with specific data security requirements, by understanding how each contract aligns or deviates from pre-determined standard positions.
Min-Kyu Jung, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ivo, commented on the current challenges experienced by legal teams using traditional CLMs. "CLMs were supposed to solve the problem of extracting true intelligence from contracts, but have overpromised and underdelivered. We're solving the knowledge problem. Legal teams don't need another static system of record. They need intelligence at their fingertips — contextual, instant, and deeply reliable."
The new Ivo solutions are designed to integrate directly with widely used document management systems, including Google Drive and SharePoint, as well as on-premise solutions. The Assistant will also operate with Ivo's Microsoft Word add-in to provide negotiation recommendations based on insights from previous contracts.
Market adoption and scope
Following its Series A funding round earlier this year, Ivo has been utilised by over 200 legal teams, including those at Canva, Quora, and Eventbrite. The company reports these organisations have been able to reduce contract review time by up to 75% while maintaining accuracy.
With the introduction of Repository and Assistant, Ivo identifies a move from contract review to a broader application it terms 'AI contract intelligence', stating its intention to make CLMs unnecessary without directly replacing them. The company emphasises that its platform is suitable for enterprise-scale deployments, handling extensive portfolios without manual metadata tagging or requiring bulk uploads.
"What used to take hours of combing through contracts can now happen in a single sentence. This isn't just faster. It's foundationally smarter," Jung stated, detailing the impact of this approach on business operations.
Ivo says the products have been deployed by early access customers in legal, procurement, sales, and operations sectors. The company claims that the technology enables contracts to be transformed from passive records into strategic assets capable of informing business decision-making across departmental boundaries.
Industry shift
The announcement positions Ivo within a broader industry transition, moving from software systems designed solely for record-keeping to those which support understanding and immediate action. The company cites increased contract complexity and volume as key drivers for the need for improved visibility, precision, and speed.
According to Ivo, Repository and Assistant allow for every agreement to become instantly searchable, every risk to be visible, and every contract to serve as a strategic asset for the business. The company states it is working towards building the infrastructure required for this paradigm shift in contract management and analysis.

AWS invites global startups to apply for AI accelerator with USD $1 million credits

AWS has opened applications for the third cohort of its global Generative AI Accelerator programme, which aims to support early-stage startups building foundational generative AI technologies. Programme details The eight-week accelerator is designed to provide up to 40 selected startups worldwide—ten of which will be from the Asia-Pacific and Japan region—with up to USD $1 million in AWS credits, technical guidance and mentorship, go-to-market support, and access to AWS's generative AI technology stack. The focus for 2025 is on startups working on core generative AI technology, including model building, infrastructure, fine-tuning tools, and agentic workflows. AWS is seeking to support companies developing foundational elements that will underpin the next stage of AI advancements. Companies participating in the accelerator should have a functioning Minimum Viable Product (MVP), some customer traction, and a strong technical team; prior experience with AWS is not required. Participants will benefit from a hybrid programme, comprising virtual sessions and an in-person launch at AWS's headquarters in Seattle. The programme concludes with a showcase at the end of the eight weeks. Support for global inclusion The 2025 cohort will be selected from across North America, Asia Pacific and Japan, Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Latin America. Startups building large language models, infrastructure tools, fine-tuning platforms, or foundational agents are especially encouraged to apply. AWS will also provide industry-specific mentoring, as well as support for companies operating at the infrastructure and application layers. In the words of Jon Jones, Vice President and Global Head of Startups at AWS: "We are now at a stage where virtually all startups will be applying generative AI to their business in one shape or form. That's why for this year's accelerator, we are honing our focus to support those startups developing the foundational technologies that will define what's possible with AI. This year's program is part of our continued commitment to accelerate generative AI innovation around the world by providing ground-breaking startups with the credits, mentorship, and visibility they need to scale with confidence." Impact from previous cohorts Since its launch, AWS reports over 100 startups have participated in the Generative AI Accelerator, reaching important milestones and contributing to industry transformation. Australian startup which developed a set of generative AI tools for creators, reduced video and image production times significantly and reached more than seven million users. This growth led to its acquisition by Canva in July 2024. Last year, four Australian startups—Contact Harald, Marqo, Relevance AI, and Splash Music—were selected for the programme. Their experiences underscore the value participants derive not only from technical enablement but also increased exposure and commercial support. Sharing insights into the programme's influence, Tiffany Bloomquist, Head of Startups, Asia-Pacific & Japan, AWS, commented: "Startups are at the forefront of generative AI innovation, and we're proud to support the bold founders who are redefining what's possible with AI. The third cohort of the AWS Generative AI Accelerator reflects our continued commitment to helping these builders scale generative AI innovation and bring real-world impact across industries. This program is more than just a launchpad for startups – it's also a powerful learning opportunity for us. These entrepreneurs keep us close to the pulse of innovation and inspire new ways we can harness the cloud and AI as a force for positive global change." Participant experiences Simon Kohl, Chief Executive Officer and founder of Latent Labs, which joined the 2024 cohort, said: "At Latent Labs, we are building AI foundation models to make biology programmable and accelerate and improve drug discovery. The AWS Generative AI Accelerator offered us a unique blend of technical depth and commercial reach, which was instrumental in accelerating both our platform capabilities and our market adoption. AWS moves quickly to adapt to the fast-evolving generative AI landscape, not just with infrastructure and tooling, but with programs designed to help generative AI startups scale. As a founder, you gain access to an ecosystem that understands both the demands of building cutting-edge AI systems and the importance of aligning those systems with real-world customer needs." Tracy Chan, Chief Executive Officer at Splash Music, shared the impact on their business: "At Splash Music, we're reimagining how music is created and discovered, transforming it from a background activity into the interactive, expressive experience Gen Z consumers connect with. The AWS accelerator was a game-changer for us. It gave us early access to cutting-edge AWS tools like SageMaker HyperPod and Trainium, plus hands-on support to migrate our models from a previous provider, significantly accelerating our research velocity and model performance. Beyond the tech, AWS's support with go-to-market strategy, public exposure, and hiring world-class talent helped us hit milestones faster than planned. For any startup building, GAIA is a no-brainer." Continued commitment The 2025 AWS Generative AI Accelerator is intended to maintain the momentum of the previous cohorts, supporting startups developing core generative AI technologies and fostering a diverse international community of founders and technical teams.

Marketing Agencies Urged To Pivot As Meta Moves Toward Fully Automated Advertising By 2026

Press Release – Alexanders Digital Marketing Agencies that once focused on deliverables like social posts and Google Ads are now being challenged to step into a new role: strategic enablers (helping clients convert leads into customers). With Meta announcing its ambition to fully automate advertising campaigns by 2026 using artificial intelligence, social media marketing agencies are quaking in their boots, and being urged to rethink their role in a fast-evolving digital landscape. According to a recent Reuters report, Meta is investing heavily in AI systems that will plan, purchase, and optimise ad campaigns with minimal human input, generating 30-40% better results at 10% of the cost, which could potentially wipe out much of the creative industry around social. The announcement signals a dramatic acceleration toward a future where media buying, and ad creative are machine-led. This shift is already being felt across the industry. AI tools like ChatGPT, Canva, and Meta's own Advantage+ are allowing small and mid-sized businesses to produce marketing content and run campaigns in-house, reducing their reliance on traditional agencies for execution. 'Clients no longer need an agency to write every post, design every banner, or set up every ad campaign,' said Rachel Alexander, founder of Alexanders, Christchurch's first digital marketing agency. 'They have Canva, ChatGPT, HeyGen, MidJourney & Meta automation. What they need now is someone to help them make sense of it all,' she said. Agencies that once focused on deliverables like social posts and Google Ads are now being challenged to step into a new role: strategic enablers (helping clients convert leads into customers). A recent YouTube vlog 'Meta just killed the creative industry: The 2026 Automation Apocalypse' by Julia McCoy, CEO at First Movers & AI thought leader, describes this well. 'Agencies must pivot from being tactical executors to strategic advisors, bringing clarity, structure, and prioritisation to an increasingly overwhelming landscape,' said McCoy. 'Business marketers need to think of their agency as a marketing generalist doctor: diagnosing weak points, recommending tailored treatments, and coaching internal teams through implementation,' said Alexander. With many SMEs building internal marketing teams and experimenting with DIY tools, the opportunity for agencies lies in offering higher-value services such as sales enablement, CRM integration, AI content workflows, and conversion strategy. 'It's less about deliverables, more about direction. Less about content calendars, more about conversion journeys…The marketing agency of the future is less like a factory and more like a consultancy,' said McCoy. Alexander said she is mindful, but not anxious, because we've always been a hybrid between a marketing consultancy and marketing agency. For New Zealand agencies looking to adapt, this means embracing AI, not competing with it and reasserting their value as interpreters, integrators, and insight-driven advisors. 'AI has been disruptive technology but being agile is the key to success. It's helped us survive for 28 years. Time to pivot again!,' said Alexander.
