The Jordan Football Association (JFA) has expressed its appreciation for the decisions issued by the Cabinet in its Wednesday session, chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan. The decisions include exempting the JFA from sales tax on revenues generated from sponsorship and marketing contracts, broadcasting rights, and match ticket sales, in addition to a set of financial and technical support measures. اضافة اعلان JFA Secretary-General Samar Nassar, on behalf of the association led by HRH Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, thanked the government for its continuous support of Jordanian football. She noted that the decisions follow the Prime Minister's visit to the association last month and align with royal directives to bolster football in the kingdom, especially after the historic achievement of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. 'These decisions represent a significant financial and moral boost for the association, encouraging investment in the sports sector and increasing revenue to achieve financial sustainability and expand the association's activities and projects in the future, in order to achieve further accomplishments across all levels,' Nassar said. She praised the government measures for developing the football system, emphasizing that exempting revenues from sponsorship, broadcasting rights, and ticket sales from taxation will provide the association and clubs with a strong incentive to enhance their financial resources, making the sector more attractive for sports investment. Nassar added that the tax exemptions, the doubling of the budget starting next year, and support for youth centers constitute strategic steps reflecting the government's belief in the importance of sports and its role in enhancing Jordan's international presence. These measures will also help sustain the association's activities and expand talent development programs across all governorates.
She concluded by affirming that the government's continuous support serves as a major motivation to continue working diligently to achieve further accomplishments that raise the nation's flag in international arenas.
