Draymond Green recalls learning of potential Kevin Durant to Warriors trade rumor
Draymond Green recalls learning of potential Kevin Durant to Warriors trade rumor Prior to landing Jimmy Butler in a blockbuster deal before the trade deadline, the Golden State Warriors appeared to be attached to nearly every trade rumor throughout the season. Before the deadline, the Warriors began to be linked to Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant. While a reunion in the Bay Area between the former two-time NBA Finals MVP and Golden State never happened, rumors swirled before the deadline. In a recent appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," Draymond Green shared a story of learning about a trade rumor connected to Durant from the Warriors' majority owner, Joe Lacob. Green revealed Lacob told him he thought the Warriors were going to trade for Durant, saying it was "at the finish line." However, Green was later confused when news of Luka Doncic's shocking blockbuster trade to the Los Angeles Lakers broke. While at a charity poker tournament for the Warriors, Green's teammate Steph Curry asked him if he saw the trade. Green's initial reaction to the question was "It happened?" thinking it was Durant coming to the Warriors, not Doncic to the Lakers. Via @LukaUpdates on Twitter: Watch the full interview between Kimmel and Green via YouTube here: In May, a video surfaced of members of the Warriors reacting to the Lakers trading for Doncic, including Curry and Green. After a whirlwind of different rumors, the Warriors ended speculation by officially trading for Butler at the deadline. Following the acquisition of the Butler, the Warriors rolled to the playoffs, winning their first-round series against the Houston Rockets before being eliminated by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round. Tottenham Hotspur dismiss head coach Vilahamn
Tottenham Hotspur have dismissed head coach Robert Vilahamn off the back of a poor season in the Barclays Women's Super League. WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Lilywhites this morning. Advertisement The 42-year-old was appointed Spurs head coach in summer 2023 after impressing in his time with Swedish club BK Häcken. In his first year in North London, Vilahamn gave Spurs a licence to thrill. The Lilywhites were one of the most entertaining sides in the Barclays Women's Super League, often leading by attack rather than defence. Spurs ended the campaign in sixth position while they reached a first Adobe Women's FA Cup final where they were beaten by Manchester United. The 2024/2025 season promised more excitement and progression but unfortunately, Spurs didn't deliver. The club managed to win just five of their 22 league matches and ended the campaign one place above the relegation zone. Spurs ended the campaign without a win in 10 league games. Off the back of a hugely disappointing campaign, Spurs opted to review Vilahamn's position as head coach and a decision has been made to end his tenure. Spurs will now begin the recruitment process in a bid to appoint a new head coach ahead of pre-season.

Tottenham sack women's head coach Robert Vilahamn
Tottenham have sacked women's first team head coach Robert Vilahamn after two years in charge. Vilahamn led the club to an FA Cup final in his first season at the club alongside a sixth place finish but Tottenham have decided to part ways with the 42-year-old after Spurs finished second-bottom in the Women's Super League this campaign. Advertisement The Swedish coach joined in 2023 and was handed a three-year contract extension last July but only relegated Crystal Palace conceded more goals than Vilahamn's side in a disappointing season. Tottenham managing director Andy Rogers said: 'There have been some special moments during Robert's tenure, including reaching the FA Cup final for the first time. 'However, results and performances this season have not been to the level we would expect and now is the right time to make a change. 'We should like to thank Robert for his professionalism and efforts over the past two seasons, and we wish him well for the future.'
