Tottenham Hotspur dismiss head coach Vilahamn
Tottenham Hotspur have dismissed head coach Robert Vilahamn off the back of a poor season in the Barclays Women's Super League.

The 42-year-old was appointed Spurs head coach in summer 2023 after impressing in his time with Swedish club BK Häcken. In his first year in North London, Vilahamn gave Spurs a licence to thrill. The Lilywhites were one of the most entertaining sides in the Barclays Women's Super League, often leading by attack rather than defence. Spurs ended the campaign in sixth position while they reached a first Adobe Women's FA Cup final where they were beaten by Manchester United.
The 2024/2025 season promised more excitement and progression but unfortunately, Spurs didn't deliver. The club managed to win just five of their 22 league matches and ended the campaign one place above the relegation zone. Spurs ended the campaign without a win in 10 league games.
Off the back of a hugely disappointing campaign, Spurs opted to review Vilahamn's position as head coach and a decision has been made to end his tenure.
Spurs will now begin the recruitment process in a bid to appoint a new head coach ahead of pre-season.

England win again after chase of 197 against West Indies

Bethell went even harder against Alzarri Joseph, taking three massive sixes from the 16th over. The biggest of the lot cleared the three-story block of flats that looks down on the ground. In just a few minutes England had gone from outsiders to strong favourites, a position only slightly undermined when Bethell threaded a reverse sweep to slip. Banton stayed in place to see his side over the finish line and Brydon Carse edged the winning boundary with nine balls remaining.

Decision due on new community and sports hub
More than £500,000 is expected to be approved to replace a football club's "rotting" facilities. Cheltenham Borough Council will vote on whether to unlock the money to transform Saracens FC's clubhouse into a community and sports hub on Tuesday. As the landowner, the council is also looking to grant two leases to move the plans which already have planning permission forward. Chair of Petersfield Partnership, Gary Goodhall previously told the BBC the club's facilities are "literally rotting and are in desperate need of replacement". Plans for the proposed Petersfield Community and Sports Hub were first put forward six years ago. They include a single-storey facility with upgraded changing rooms for the football team and social and community spaces, including a bar and kitchen. The club has a 25-year lease on their ground and the land where the shipping containers are located, with 22 years remaining. The council's cabinet is due to approve the terms by which an amended lease of the land could be offered to Saracens FC, and a separate lease could be offered to the Petersfield Partnership charitable incorporated organisation (CIO), which was set up in 2023 to deliver the hub building.
